I've got the df059 code and my garage quoted 5 hours for labour and to replace the unit. After reading up online it does look like the 2014-2019 models of vivaro made it hard to get at the valve, but does this sound about right? Would love to know how long this process took you ?
    Thanks for the video!

Hi. Sorry about not replying but ive forgotten about this channel... If the valve comes out ok its an hours job. The problem is they get stuck due to oxidazation of aluminum and take a lot of time to free it off. So far ive done 20+ of them. Thanks

Hi Mike, was wondering, is there any way the EGR could be deleted/blanked?

Hi. your local Tuner / remap guy can simply map it out without removing the valve.

Hi Mike, What's the best way to go about cleaning and actuating these valves please? I've managed to get mine out but I'm not making any progress in freeing it off. A little disappointing in only 20k miles ... cheers, Josh

Hi Josh. Look for intake / egr / carbon cleaning products in spray and remove the plastic housing and keep turning the gear whilst spraying the shaft / valve . Dont force the valve or gears with any great force. Do it bit by bit. Also WD 40 works.

So how did you get the valve out there ?
