Always, excited for your videos and recommendations Maddie because I have a very similar taste in artists, writers and comics books that you do. Looking for to read a few of the books you mentioned that I haven’t heard of before!
The Me You Love In The Dark reminds me much of the premise to The Secret Life of Addie LaRue, wherein a mid-twenties French woman makes a Faustian pact with a primordial god for eternal life. This leads to a centuries-long game of cat and mouse between her and the elder god.
The Rush from Spurrier and Gooden. Great reading, beautiful art. It may not classified as Horror but certainly contains elements of it. Among the best comics I have read this year actually.
I am just glad you didn't say Ice Cream Man. So many people talk it up and I thought it was awful. I will give some of these a try. You recommended Beautiful Darkness once, I really liked that book. I am currently reading a lot, lol. Currently focused on the old Picto-fiction books.
Hi Maddie - great to see you again. Love BTTM. Have you had a chance to take a look at the new indie graphic novel “GENU” that I sent to Omar? (black & white sci-fi, 300 pages).
@@NearMintCondition Would love to hear your opinion. We are trying to do whatever we can to promote this indie work (4 years in the making!!). Thank you 🙏🏻
Great selection!!! I like almost all these books. I hate horror because it is to scary for me, but surprisingly I have read or want to read almost every book on this list. I totally need to check out The Creepy Case Files of Margo Maloo!
BTTM FDRS is such a great graphic novel. It's kind of like The Thing meets Get Out - interesting combination of body horror with social themes of gentrification and classism/racism. Great book! I found BodyWorld by Dash Shaw to be another interesting book that does a lot of the same stuff BTTM FDRS does.
Hi Maddie. Just love your taste of books. Big fan of Junji ito. I have all his book. Fell in love with Tillie Walden by her book "On a sunbeam" wich I could hear in my head a soundtrack for the last 200 pages without being able to put it down. Bougth everything from her afterwards. Going to look to find your suggestions. Please do videos of recommandations or review like Omar each and every weak. Your are so beautiful and passionate. My special request: Have "Robbins" as a co-host. We need to see Robbins your cat. Go Robbins.. GOGOGO🤩🤩🤩
Thank you for your nice words, Vincent! If only I had the time to do weekly editing videos! My pesky full time job gets in the way :P But maybe one day! - Maddie
I would recommend "Alena" which was also made into a horror movie..I really liked The me you love ..that art is so great to just look at.. Another recommendation would be "The Autumnal" ..makes for a perfect spooky read.. Great video as always..
Great suggestions! Read BTTM FDRS and love it. Would make a great movie. The me you love in the dark looks amazing. I'll have to check that out. You might want to check out Rain (adapted story by Joe Hill) and I absolutely loved Witches: The Complete Collection by Daisuke Igarashi, an esoteric poetic take on witches, mixing scifi with paganism.
Can you read Clementine without playing the games? As far as horror that came out this year. I’ve read Junji Ito’s Black Paradox, The Poe Clan vol 2 came out this year along with a reprint of vol 1 from fantagraphics it’s great, The Girl from the Otherside Deluxe 1 and 2 came out this year it’s also fantastic.

Anyone found some great Lovecraft horror graphic novel? Could you recommend?
From your last video I bought Upgrade Soul. I saw a few interesting books here too 😊

First time viewer. Literally thought you were Erica Durance the first couple minutes. 😂. Great job.
The Bone Orchard Mythos from Jeff Lemire and Andrea Sorrentino is pretty good. Got my wife who doesn't read comics to read it and she enjoyed it.
oooooo I'll have to check it out. I just read Gideon Falls for the first time so I'd love to check out that teamup again. -Maddie

I read Liminal zone for the first time for Halloween and quite enjoyed it, didn’t realise it was a short story collection when I bought it
Wonder Maddie…always a pleasure! 😁🤙🏼
Kind of unrelated, but I like how Maddie is trying to look evil in the thumbnail and it just comes off as looking adorably miffed 😂

Maddie, you are so beautiful.
Does Wonder Maddie have legs.
She doesnt wear pants.
