I really like how Dante went with the most obvious choices, while Vergilius chose people who, at least on a first impression, might not seem suitable for this kind of job. I think it really shows the difference of experience between the two of them.
Now that I think about it: Dante's picking the most logic of sinners, while Vergilius picks on those who might at first seems rather poor choice, but knowing their background, they are expert in their own way and that has nothing to do with P.H.D stuff.
it kinda makes sense that dante didn't pick these 3 because he didn't yet get to really know them, as besides rodion who had her chapter right at the beginning when dante wasn't such a genius, it really shows that dante has still a lot to learn about the sinners that ver already knows well
@@edvardironofficial8931 no, next canto is Don Quixote's. Gregor>Rodion>Sinclair>Yi Sang>Ishmael>Heathcliff>Don Quixote>Hong Lu>Ryōshū>Meursault>Outis>Faust
It's interesting how we actually get to see the development of Dante's abilities as a manager in-story. So far, all prior Cantos and Events aside from Christmas had all 12 Sinners, and thus all of their individual abilities, meaning that Dante doesn't have the experience to select the best team for a smaller group. As such, they decide to stack the 3 Sinners who most closely fit with "smart and rational", which Dante figures will be needed, at the cost of variety in skillsets, particularly social interaction. By contrast, Vergilius picks out Sinners for their individual talents; none of them might fit the preferred personality for the job, but each has individual expertise and skills that cover all the necessary bases. Ryoshu has instincts and picks up on big picture ideas, like motives and general concepts. Hong Lu is incredibly perceptive over small details and can pick out clues that others might not notice. And finally, Rodion is a master at social maneuvering and knows how to manipulate people to act how she wants - an incredibly useful tool when it comes to interviewing witnesses and suspects. I honestly can't wait for future events to follow the trend of letting Dante and a handful of specific Sinners strike out on their own, since it'll provide much more characterization and content for each of them, instead of having to portion it out generally evenly across all 12 Sinners. Perhaps the WARP Train event later this season will include Don, Faust, and Meursault for the original W Corp IDs? I suppose we'll have to wait and see.
@@cye2310 another comment stated that he has experince with the rich people. And considering that he is the only one with that experince in the bus i feel like verg made a good choice.
Hong Lu has experience with high society, which has already come in handy once. He’s the guy you turn to when you are going to be navigating the rich and petty. Kinda like how Heathcliff is someone you want when dealing with syndicates and low-down backstreet dwellers.
@@cye2310 pretty much what other commentors said though hands on is weird in honglu's case but experience in high society was what I was going for (and the fact he actually has undergone intense training as shown in canto 4 shows he may not be an idle rich or at least forced not to be idle.)
If you look at Dante's team, you have three book smart people who could probably deduce answers with given information, but they're all socially awkward and might not be able to work together well or get confessions and accounts out of people. But if you look at Verg's team, you have: Hong Lu: the son of a rich family who are constantly fighting amongst one another; he would probably be good at political maneuvering. Ryoshu: not much people smarts, but she probably has an eye for detail as an 'artist' and a way of 'convincing' people to speak. Rodion: Fellas from the backstreets develop their own smarts to survive; she'd probably be good at dealing with people too, street-smartsand stuff. Maybe this chapter will have us dealing with people and that's why verg chose this team. Or I could be entirely wrong and wasted 5 minutes of my life writing this.
You might be onto something here. But personally, I think Verg wanted Dante to train his managerial skills and be more flexible in terms of task distribution. Because so far, every time Dante needed something done that did not involve clobbering someone, Dante for the most part relied on his least erratic trio. And while I still think Dante's go-to trio would've done the job just fine (I mean, come on, those three are like walking forensics lab), Dante needs to learn, that his other murderhobos are also people, with their own sets of skills and expertise they could bring to the table, were he to learn how to coax them into cooperation.
@@beepboop686 I'll correct a little on that Dante's always referred to as they/them in-game, but otherwise you're right. They do need the pick-up lesson on the other sinner's capacities as well, and thankfully Vergilius is an exceptional guide to help with that.

@@hellatzeyeah but mersault is just way too goated of a choice when it comes to noticing details. I mean he described someone who hit the windshield even though he only saw that person for a moment.
Trying to find sense on Vergillius's picks at first glance I find ryoshu being the most reasonable wildcard pick as an investigator. She has a keen sense of situational awareness and a sharp eye for faults/fakes which she has proven on K Corp and on the Fake Oufi Fixers Rodion might be a weird pick but if she's motivated to do something (like getting rewarded for doing stuff) she becomes locked-in on the situation. (Edit: "I have to choose someone who can support me, remain laser focus on the case" Yep that definitely fits Reward-Driven Rodion) HongLu serves as a "Good Cop" for the group given his light hearted demeanor and chill factor . This goes hand-in-hand with the Rodion so I guess this is a plus given that 2 of the most competent puzzle solvers are not in the team I'd guess that the devs plan on Dante (us players) to do the investigation itself. Would like to believe that Vergil saw Dante's growth and would like to help him by challenging him more by having him be more involved on the investigation itself hence the picks
I would also point out that Dante's picks aren't the best, if Meursault figures something out or finds something he is likely to not say anything unless directly asked about it, Yi Sang is more of an inventor than someone who gathers evidence and finds clues and Faust might just easily piss people off with her attitude and make information gathering with people harder.
This might be what you're referring to when you say K Corp, but Ryoshu was also the only one able to notice the Shi Assassin that killed Shrenne, so yeah she can definitely pick up on stuff well
Giving my thoughts on each team's strengths and weaknesses: Yi Sang: + One of the smartest sinners - ... but his field of knowledge is mainly in technology, and he hasn't shown general expertise or deductive reasoning much. He also has the social skills of a wet napkin. Faust: + Faust is a genius and is levelheaded. The source of her knowledge that she talks to can give her info on things she couldn't reasonably know. - Lacks social and emotional intelligence Meursault: + Attentive to small details and has great memory. Also highly professional. - May not voice important details or evidence unless asked specifically about them, and besides the lightning strikes in Canto 6, he doesn't form conclusions or deduction of his own. Ryoshu + Extremely perceptive, as she noticed the Shi assassins in Canto 4 and figured out that the Oufi were fake in 6. Also with her experience in killing and making "art", she would have the bodily knowlege to form autopsies and get in the mind of the killer. She can also be intimidating and play the role of the "bad cop". - Doesn't have much in terms of talking to suspects or clients besides threats and I.O.A (Intentially Obtuse Acronyms) Hong Lu: + Emotionally intelligent and knows what to say at the right moments (lying to Saude about Effie living to ease her, deduced that Yi Sang's letters were a cry for help). He also lived in a family of backstabbers, so he would be effective at figuring out conflicts, lies, and motives - While he intentionally plays up the naive act, he still lacks street smarts Rodion: + Generally street smart. She's also social and good at talking or buttering up somebody, and can defuse conflicts (like with Ishmael in Canto 5). - Generally overconfident, meaning she could be set on false leads and conclusions
So Dante made some pretty obvious choices: -Mersault has shown at every step of the road that he is maybe the most level-headed sinner an also the most reliable -Yi Sang is one of the most cooperative sinners (specially after his canto) and is in my opinion the smartest sinner -Faust has the potential to know all things (imo that means nothing and she is just playing smart) and she often helps Dante think and get clear answers. This is a great team, in a closed box, but they lack some critical knowledge that maybe of need to solve this case. -Ryoshu has a lot of knowledge of multiple crime sindicates including the fingers so in this case she might be essential to find who did it -Hong Lu born in an ultra rich family may have knowledge of the corps and wings, the contracts they do and how they tend to prey over people in general so he might be essential to know the why did it -Rodya is street smart and seems to be there to be the most level-headed one or rather the least insane and might do the best questions un order to help Dante figure out the when was it done (i just find funny the idea of the clock guy figuring out when)
Let me remind you that Faust is the only sinners with differential treatment from the company. Yi Sang is smart, especially with regards to the mirror technology, but Faust literally built Mephistopheles
Hong lu has shown before that he's incredible at reading people and the room. He is very situationally aware and emotionally aware, even if he's only shown it a few times. Now might be the time we see the real hong lu.
Faust is very biased(mostly to herself), Yi Sang has history with T-Corp so that might include bias, Yi Sang usually takes his time to think about his actions instead of making quick decisions and Meursault will make quick decisions but only if you tell him beforehand what kind of decisions he should make quickly. I would say that Hong Lu is probably the least biased person in the group.
Most importantly, Dante chose the least sociable and charismatic sinners. Faust and Yi Sang use language that are too intellectual for the average City dweller, and as you've mention before, Faust is very biased towards herself. While Meursault tends to not speak unless he's spoken to, and is very stone faced, making people averse or even too intimidated to talk to him. On the other hand, Rodion is charismatic and sociable, and tends to lock-in if there's a reward for her, simply making her a great choice. While Hong Lu has the capability to diffuse a situation, with his lighter tone and behavior. And Ryoshu, while not being that social at all, she has incredible detective skills. As seen before in Canto 4 where she deducted that Shi Fixers were the ones who assassinated Shrenne, and in Canto 6 where she found out that the Öufi Fixers were frauds.
I mean technically the option verg chose makes sense, ryoshu is obviously experienced enough to tell how someone was killed, hong lu has been hiding his intellect since canto 1 while slowly nudging the other sinners towards the right answers, and i guess rodion is there because we need the crime and punishment jokes.
Guys I think we all forgot about how Rodya murdered that one landlord-- I think she would know atleast a thing or two about how to break in and escape crime scenes...
Dante: alright this investigation we gonna pic the best of the best and itll be- Vergilius: I Pick Rodion Ryoushu and Hong Lu Dante:..... ok fair enough for that
Verg's selection makes more sense if we're getting some wacky turnabout situations, i'm not sure how, but Rodions gonna find evidence by being hungry, and honglu will scooby doo style lean on a statue and discover literaly the culprit himself and who knows, the first hooligan ryoshu cuts might be the (supposed) big reveal mastermind
Verg's selection actually makes alot of sense. Rodion did kill a taxwoman and got away with it without being caught so she'd know a thing about murders. Also, she's really good at bluffing, negotiating and a people-person Ryoshu has *alot* of knowledge on Syndicates, and would also know how a murderer works given that she's pretty much a serial killer lol and Hong Lu, while he looks stupid, is actually really insightful when it comes to people's emotions and is good at navigating around rich people politics
I really hope that the whole event will be limited to Hong Lu, Ryoshu and Rodya and wont shove all other sinners in like it was in the christmas chapter, honestly Limbus really lacks those kind of interactions where we are limited to the sinner pull and gotta make out the most of what we have on our hands, and not always rely on Faust to explain everything or for the the funny french man to bonk someone
Problem is restricting the team like that can cause problems. With it being a gatcha you can't be sure that players have all the sinners properly equipped. At this point, people likely have at least one decent ID for each sinner, so it may work better here.
@@bestaround3323 Yeah, I think this is the perfect time for PM to restrict players. Surely by the time they reach Canto VI they have a decent amount of IDs for each sinners. Also, might be a great way to "challenge" players with limited party members therefore having you as a player to manage their health, resistances and targets. This is the reason why I started doing less party member/solo runs in MD, it's way more fun.
@@bestaround3323they can just level up base sinners to meet the requirements for this intervalo, like they did to YS and Ish in their cantos' dungeons
Vergilius's team is pretty good... Ryoshu is obviosuly good at taking in details, and could probably tell you how someone died in under 10 seconds. Maybe under 5 if she uses sangria. Normally she's a bit of a murder hobo, but I think she's the kind of person who runs off of entertainment and passion, so giving her a job like detective might not be a bad idea... She can also play the bad cop. We don't know too much about Hong Lu... but he's probably used to dealing with schemes of all sorts. Great at reading the room. He's able to play dumb, and make other people drop their gaurd. Probably fits the good cop role. Rodion is probably the most social of the sinners, and has a lot of worldy experience. She's good at reading the atmosphere of a social situation, but I think she's probably the best out of the sinners at controling a conversation. She also seemingly gets along with both of the other sinners in the group, with her recent hair product shopping plan with hong lu, and seemingly gets along with ryoshu in a lot of indentities. She can probably mediate between the two (as well as explain what's going on to Dante).
A good thing that I completed the Chapter 6 Lore videos, it looks like this will be Sherlock Holmes themed, while Chapter 6.5 (Part 2) will definitely be loosely based on "Murder on the Orient Express". Chapter 6.5 (Part 1) appears to involve them taking a job for T Corp.
But Outis is really biased, and they're looking for non-biased candidates. Also have you seen how all her 'negotiations' worked? They always ended in fights cause she keeps provoking them lmao
Outis seems to be a little confrontational. She acts like she has something to prove. I feel like Ryoshu settles down if she thinks what she's doing is entertaining enough.
Hong Lu: Max Charisma stat and highly educated as a rich boy Ryoshu: Coroner and can probably put a corpse back together like a jigsaw puzzle Rodion: uuuhhhh… snacks and fuck it we ball
I'd argue Rodya has higher charisma stat than Hong Lu, and her easygoing attittude will most likely lower most witnesses' guards. Also remember that one time Dante promised Rodya extra food if she kept everyone in line when Ishmael was explaining categories? Yeah laser-focus is easy for her if she gets rewarded for it.
Honestly speaking, I have no idea why Vergilius' team does not include Meursault. He quite literally *is* the best person when it comes to observation of raw data, this man, despite making no judgments in it, is the biggest magnifiying glass that can ever be in the entire cast.
Ryoshu is pretty good at that too though, realizing the shi are there, and sniffing out the Oufi fakes. I'm guessing that Hong lu and rodion are there because they're both good with people to counter ryoshus ryoshuing.
I think it's because Meursault will only tell Dante what little detail he notices when asked, but won't speak up on his own accord. Hong Lu and Ryoshu on the other hand, is also very observant, and we all know how Hong Lu will mention little things about his family and openly talk about details he notices. Valuable info for Dante. Ryoshu will really help with autopsies I think, considering all of her murders in the name of art.
it's really the perfect time for pm to make a triple banner,or make two banners of 2 3 stars, though either way, one sinner will be shafted into either being the sole 2 star or not having an id
I'm calling it now that picking the group Meursault is in will reveal more about how life in N-Corp is like from his experience compared to the other corps, while picking the other group will reveal a bit of background on why Ryoshu never draws her sword out of the scabbard and Hong Lu giving more background on his family and their history. Something tells me that this mini chapter will be the beginning in showing that who you bring along reveals more about your companions as you grow as a leader.

+ Generally street smart. She's also social and good at talking or buttering up somebody, and can defuse conflicts (like with Ishmael in Canto 5).
- Generally overconfident, meaning she could be set on false leads and conclusions
Keep cooking
Dante:
Vergie: Hong-lu, Ryoshu & Rodion
Dante: *Flabbergasted clock noises*
I guess we're taking emotional intelligence over general intelligence
개인적으로 쉬어가는 느낌인 6.5장인데다가
저 조합 분위기에 맞게 '시간죽일시간'도 괜찮을듯
So Dante made some pretty obvious choices:
-Mersault has shown at every step of the road that he is maybe the most level-headed sinner an also the most reliable
-Yi Sang is one of the most cooperative sinners (specially after his canto) and is in my opinion the smartest sinner
-Faust has the potential to know all things (imo that means nothing and she is just playing smart) and she often helps Dante think and get clear answers.
This is a great team, in a closed box, but they lack some critical knowledge that maybe of need to solve this case.
-Ryoshu has a lot of knowledge of multiple crime sindicates including the fingers so in this case she might be essential to find who did it
-Hong Lu born in an ultra rich family may have knowledge of the corps and wings, the contracts they do and how they tend to prey over people in general so he might be essential to know the why did it
-Rodya is street smart and seems to be there to be the most level-headed one or rather the least insane and might do the best questions un order to help Dante figure out the when was it done (i just find funny the idea of the clock guy figuring out when)
Let me remind you that Faust is the only sinners with differential treatment from the company.

You can say Hing lu will be able to bring out 130% of his potential

But Vergil said no...
Nah, is Hongers time bitches! Now he will be doing a free style rap!
@@bbttkr LET ME FANTASIZE ABOUT MEURSAULT HAVING A SPEAKING ROLE FOR MORE THAN A MINUTE IN PEACE, DAMN IT
Faust is very biased(mostly to herself), Yi Sang has history with T-Corp so that might include bias, Yi Sang usually takes his time to think about his actions instead of making quick decisions and Meursault will make quick decisions but only if you tell him beforehand what kind of decisions he should make quickly.

Dante on their way to choose the sinners with the worst social skills
MORE HONG LU SCREENTIME GANG WE WIN. WE ARE WINNING LIMBUS COMPANY GANG.
ホンル主役ヤッタぜ
I mean technically the option verg chose makes sense, ryoshu is obviously experienced enough to tell how someone was killed, hong lu has been hiding his intellect since canto 1 while slowly nudging the other sinners towards the right answers, and i guess rodion is there because we need the crime and punishment jokes.
More than that, Rodion has street smarts, luck, and the practical skills of a gambler
Guys I think we all forgot about how Rodya murdered that one landlord-- I think she would know atleast a thing or two about how to break in and escape crime scenes...
Dante: alright this investigation we gonna pic the best of the best and itll be-
Vergilius: I Pick Rodion Ryoushu and Hong Lu
Dante:..... ok fair enough for that
哀れダンテ
That mustache really got me.
Also, she's really good at bluffing, negotiating and a people-person
Ryoshu has *alot* of knowledge on Syndicates, and would also know how a murderer works given that she's pretty much a serial killer lol
and Hong Lu, while he looks stupid, is actually really insightful when it comes to people's emotions and is good at navigating around rich people politics
分かります!他の囚人の出番が無いのは辛いです!
Problem is restricting the team like that can cause problems. With it being a gatcha you can't be sure that players have all the sinners properly equipped. At this point, people likely have at least one decent ID for each sinner, so it may work better here.
@@bestaround3323 Even with just Base IDs, Hong Lu, Ryoshu, and Rodya have some of the better base IDs

Rodya will explain who is this trembling creature and has no right
Vergilius's team is pretty good...
We'll be getting a Hong Lu id with tremor with this one
Oh nice, the event starts right after my birthday. Thanks for the present PM!
楽しみ……
Ryoshu being a detective without Sinclair to translate? That'll surely not lead to misunderstandings.
A good choice.
Hong Lu - Persuasion, Ryoshu - Intimidation and Rodion - Deception.
We're going to use charisma to interrogate witnesses and suspects.
No one is talking about Outis. She is based on the most ingenius character out of all the sinners. It's really weird she is not in this event
Who knows? Maybe she will turn out to be the mvp like in hell's chicken
Fuck Outis, WE HAVE MEURSALT 🗣🗣🗣
We might see some brutal interrogation
But Outis is really biased, and they're looking for non-biased candidates.
Also have you seen how all her 'negotiations' worked? They always ended in fights cause she keeps provoking them lmao
Outis seems to be a little confrontational. She acts like she has something to prove.
I feel like Ryoshu settles down if she thinks what she's doing is entertaining enough.
크아악 베길수형 로쟈 료슈 홍루라니 이게 무슨소리야!!!

Hong Lu: Max Charisma stat and highly educated as a rich boy
Ryoshu: Coroner and can probably put a corpse back together like a jigsaw puzzle
Rodion: uuuhhhh… snacks and fuck it we ball
