    Hi, I have looked at many videos, most of the Teachers play the song first in a way that although awesome leaves me feeling even more inadequate.
    Your way of demonstrating is bang on! Thank you.

    Good evening Lauren hope all is well on your end. I just want to say thank you so very much after purchasing my guitar for nearly two years my son finally push me to start on it and I have been using your style of teaching or I should say I've been following you and how to play Three Little birds and I've made tremendous progress in less than a week. I will definitely keep you update once I can play the whole entire song thanks to you and my son thank you.

    Thank you, Lauren. I've been trying to grasp the strumming patterns for this song. What I particularly enjoy about your lessons are the multiple strumming patterns you demonstrate. This alone makes you stand out amongst other outstanding teachers. Your A-1 Lauren.

    That’s awesome Lauren 😅. I think this song may be the easiest to learn. I’m also noticing how very important chord anticipation is to success… I do better when I know where I’m going.

    Really enjoying your videos getting used to swapping between some new chords. Your strumming and singing techniques video was good but my Bob sounds more of a hip hop beat, that's my problem listened to too much hip hop. Much love Tim Wild west country. Xx

    I have a question: I’m a beginner and I broke one of my strings for the first time recently while tuning, the string hit my hand and gave me a little scar, I don’t mind it there but i was wondering if there’s a safer way to tune it so it doesn’t break and like hit my face or my eye ?

    • @LaurenBateman
      @LaurenBateman  3 года назад +1

      If you're ever thinking you've gone too far with your strings, it's been to lower the tuning (loosening the string) and then come back up.

    • @1991Incognito
      @1991Incognito 3 года назад +2

      The safest way I can think off is using a tuner (either an app or a physical device) and tune your strings slowly. Just pick on the string you are tuning, hear the sound that is coming and see what the indicator on the app or device tells you and either clock-wise or counter-clockwise rotate the tuning handle accordingly, but slowly.

    Guitar can be so vexing at times especially rythm.. I can learn hendrixy lead licks and even semi passable version of hey Joe and other songs so I think great 3 chords likiity split and to some degree this is true in until I try to sink up the words. I either get to end of progression and be in middle of verse or end of verse and be in middle of progression so what am I not going. Quick note when I say semi passable version of hey Joe that without lyrics otherwise that gets all discombobulated but I mean I can do bend and legato and see improvement over time but strumming chords and the timing with verses I really struggle. Argh
