I just got mine a week ago and love it I get so many looks and at the light I am the king. Funny thing in normal its fast I didn't even use the gt button yet. Also I am getting 220 range in normal mode on back roads
This and the GV60 are my two favorite EVs in this space Both look great, and provide similar performance. The Genesis costs $10k more and gives up some size to provide a more upscale environment The Mach-E would be the most direct competitor, and should net a test drive
@@bextar6365 I own the car and I must say in normal mode the car has 470 hp and its fast. In that mode you taking everybody at the light. But in GT mode it's neck breaking speed
Great review. You're very thorough. But what we don't need is another one-trick pony with a 180 mile range. We have a company making those already, plus they behead you, if desired. In almost every test online, this car loses over 100 miles of range when driven normally. It's just a Korean Plaid with a falsified stated range. Bummer. Not progress. It's an option, but not cool enough to rationalize 180 miles. You'd have to charge it every single night. Audi already has the pathetic range market. It's just a city car. Until they get to Lucid, BMW, and Benz motor efficiency and range, there's no point. 350+ miles, and no Chinese and Congolese earth metals or magnets.
In reality, the range is not as bad as you think it is. 😊 In Europe the GT is stated at 263miles (424km) and not 206miles (332km) like in the US. 206miles seems to be very low and not actually reflecting real world range, if you drive it in ECO-mode to maximise range. In Norway there have been a cold weather test a couple of weeks ago, where they drove the GT below the freezing point - with cabin heat at 21 degrees Celsius (70 degrees Fahrenheit) - 217 miles (from 100% until it died). And for the record… I own a GT, and have seen a usage of 20kwh for 62miles (driven mostly at constant 68mph in ECO-mode) at 46Fahrenheit (8 degrees Celsius) in mine… so I believe the 206miles will easily be exceeded in warmer weather. 😊 😊
@@andersteilmann8005 It's encouraging that your range is better than the magazine reports. The last thing EVs need is to go backwards in tech/useability. That said, I'll bet your GT is quite the rocket ride. I don't have a clue what to think about these Pickup EVs. I guess it will be up to the two companies readying SS batteries to give us a solution. But, a 10K+ lbs 1/2 ton truck just seems like the most antithetical thing vis-a-vis what the American Indians say, "Tread lightly on Mother Earth..." Thanks for your non-hater reply. It's refreshing. Good luck.

I can imagine the look on Tesla driver's faces, lol.

With the Stinger GT sent out to pasture, Kia has made the EV6 GT the performance vehicle. 🚗🔌
True.
Good review man. I never noticed the odd plastic fins on the outside mirrors till ur review.
Thanks! Yeah, they stood out.
My dream car 😍
Nice job Steve!
Glad you enjoyed it
What a vehicle! I like the looks and performance, I hate the dash! Overall, very impressive.
If you're watching this video and are looking for one to purchase my Dealership has 1 GT EV6 in Steel Matte Gray.
This plug and charge thing has also has to do with the public charger themselves... EVGO supports most cars with "autocharge+" it works on EV6.
Steve! Im wondering, would you consider trading your Hyundai Kona EV for one of these?
Just curious ~
Why would all this power, torque and speed be needed by the average driver ?.
Must say it looks much better than Tesla.
I’d doubt it. More of an IONIQ5 or 6 kind of guy. Or maybe just the new 2024 Kona 🤷🏼♂️

@@bigdi77 Good if you are a Mario Andretti !!!
Not for the every day driver..........
I have a GV60 Performance. The interior is where it's at.
I like how the GV60 has a button you can press that gives you a temporary boost of like 60 horsepower or something like that.

Your bias is starting to show a little bit. You never review Teslas and you never even mention them when talking about competitors.
That’s on them, not me.
