people whining in the comments seem to have not listened close enough to the video cuz from what they say it sounds like the chick was around other ones and just got separated cuz they walked away. you dont need to assume that every single video in existence is animal abuse, especially when youtube has monetized animal fight vids that need actual attention brought to them
I owned chicks for a long time and i still have them, they do the same noise when they are alone. Even chicks hatched by chickens. Please think before saying something random
Lmao no chicks like make like 3 noises 1 where they are lost, one where they are just chilling and one where they feel cold and this is definitely lost not saying its animal abuse or smth just pointing it out so noone gets the wrong idea
I have rescued a baby chick from roadside. A stray cat was going to attack it. Please suggest, how can I calm it down? It’s chirping non stop since morning. I am loving the new member of the house but I don’t know what to feed him or how to takecare of it.
They need another chick but if you can’t just be a lot with them and do a chicken form with your hand and play with them give them food, i love your act of kindness also do you have a lamp that keeps cage hot? Put it in their cage to like 37c° or 40c° at atleast 20 centimetres up to not cook the chick, if you see that he is cold you can bring the chick up a bit with your hand, they like to sleep in hands ( make sure they don’t drown in their water ) not long ago i adopted two chicks ( in january 2024 ) and one died because of a disorder that made them not able to grow up so my chick was alone and i played with him a lot and bought him 2 chicks, the 2 chicks were bigger but atleast he got friends. Now he is okay
That was the sound of late Bernie when she just came. She was really noisy and scared, but got used to it quickly. Her only child syndrome made her spoiled.
Chickens are very social animals. They will start panicking if isolated from their flock. If left alone long enough, eventually they'll grow accustomed to it, but they're happiest when they have other chickens to follow.
He is confused and is really scared because he doesn’t see his friends, even my middle grown ones do that when alone ( i have 14 chicks in total right now but i had chicks before obviously ) and the scream is worse when their mother is a chicken and not an incubator. Yea, idk how but i managed to pick up one as a 8 year old ( yes i had chickens/chicks farm for a very long time i still have ) but it was one second because i didn’t like the scream and the chicken Went to attack me like the 2 roosters strangers put in our farm randomly
If there is a predator nearby, they will run away for overhead cover and go completely silent. When they think it's safe, they will sneak out of the cover quietly and start chirping again once they feel like they aren't in immediate danger. They chirp to let the mama hen know where they are so she can come back to find them. The natural behavior of chickens when a predator is chasing is for the mama hen to make as much of a fuss to attract the predator's attention as possible and then run away once the predator starts chasing as the baby chicks scatter and look for someplace to hide.
