These student lessons are gold. Great to know senior golfers in decent shape don’t have to resort to a “stall and flip” pattern to play golf and actually use a pivot driven move instead 👍
It’s the “feeling” that he should have… there will always be some right tilt throughout the downswing Because adding too much right tilt makes the hands and clubhead swing too far to the right and the low point doesn’t get far enough ahead of the ball as a result (aka you’ll hit the ground behind the ball)
New to this channel, and working on this same pattern. Like mentioned it comes natural with other sports where the hip just rotates with zero thought. Do you think rope swinging drills would help?
Really great explanation technique of swing, you are impressive instructor.Love a sentence about ca. 6 months of practicing, to get proper technique and feeling, most guys do not tell it.
Is this similar to what Tom Watson was talking about when he felt like coming over the top after struggling all those years trying to swing like Jack ?
No way. sorry. esp at his age you can't do this type of stuff. Manuel de la Torre is what he needs. what would be the point? he does not have strength and flexibility. His focus should be on swinging the club at the target and letting the body respond. I don't blame DD, this would be a repeat customer. I just don't think under any type of pressure this player won't just revert to what feels natural.
Last 2:00 are secrets! Gold coach! Thanks for sharing.

Good lesson. The only issue was the low sound in some sections - but you probably already know that.
