I think this version's tone better fits a science fantasy overall, but I think I still prefer the original for a basic boss fight when contrasted against the relaxed themes in the game, it was more rock and less traditional orchestral. I think they changed it up a bit too much, or change it too much the wrong way to maintain enough of the original's feel. Still amazing though in general.

Been doing a challenge run for my first playthrough. Universe mode is even easier now, sadly. 😢
Especially with broken strats like Bloody armor x4 and healing star still in.

The gameplay is just too simplistic. I don't think they can find a way to make it more challenging at all because of that.
Do Universe and run only two characters. Incredibly brutal. I did a Dias and Rena run. Golly.
Eruption can still cart my whole team in Forest of Symbols though.

what, i dont really like this version, prefer the synthesized vers, sounds so much weaker on real guitar or their stratocoaster
