Thank you for the time and effort that you put into these videos. We are rebuilding the touch control on our Super A and your videos were very helpful. God's blessings on you
I am rebuilding the hydraulic box for a 52 Farmall Super C. Thanks for posting your video and sharing your information. Much appreciated! I have rebuilt farmall (A, B, H) engines, etc; but never a touch control box. You've made the job much easier to prepare, understand and execute. Thanks again!
I watched both of your videos on the touch control rebuild. They’re both very thorough. I’m likely going to be delving into rebuilding one of these in the near future and the videos certainly are helpful. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and time.
I'd like to see you do a video on replacing w/new and rebuilding an original Hydraulic pump itself and how to properly clean the lines and controls like the dealer recommends before installing a new pump. You do good videos for learning. Maybe do a video on replacing the rear axle seals etc on a Super A or C. Thanks brother.
Thanks for the comment. I have a lot of ideas for videos. I do a lot of repair work in my shop. I just don't take the time to make videos. I plan to start making more videos. Thanks for the comment.
when reinstalling the unit on the tractor what is the proceedure for bleeding the air out of the unit. followed the bleed procedure in the manual but it not moving. got mine all put back together and tested it , i'm not getting any movement out of the unit. watched the video several times and mad sure i put everthing back the was it suppose to be. the one thing i notice is that you have the two large pistons all the way to the bottom of the hole does this matter?
Excellent ! been looking for someone to show me the right way to rebuild a farmall touch control block unit for my super AV.. Many thanks to you sir! A.K. is it possible to get part one and two of this on a CD?
Kenny. Great video. I'm in the process of doing the same thing to the touch control on my 51 Super A. Couple of questions. Seven of the nine plugs in the inside are not coming out. Actually broke two hex wrenches trying to remove them. Any hints? Is heat an option? Also, how do you item 20 on the parts diagram out?
I have a question.. Mine quit working so I took head off and all the pop- its are ok but one of the center plungers that the pop-it goes on will not freely move the other one will go up and down with a small screwdriver but this one stays down when pushed. Going to rebuild it but what is making that one not move freely?
There is a pin and I think there is a bushing also. You need to look and find where the play is. I am not sure if these parts are still available from dealer. If not you could have a machine shop take the play out by making a pin or bushing
I use .035 aircraft safety wire and safety tie wire pliers. The wire goes around the top and bottom of the boots. There is a grove at the bottom where the piston comes out. Then the top you pull it together around the piston rod. You could use welding wire or galvanized hardware wire and a pair of pliers to twist it. I have the boots available for sale along with the wire to tie them with if you need the boots.
I have the leather dust boots that go around the piston and control valve rods reproduced myself. I have those available for sale. I have been getting the rebuild kits from the CaseIh dealer but I am currently in the process of reproducing those also. Should have them available in the next week or so. I have cores at my shop and rebuild them to switch out. I don't think the leather boots are available any more and have been superseded to the rubber ones, but I think the leather ones last longer and work better. If you are interested in getting some boots or a rebuilt box just let me know.
I have a 140 and the hydraulic lift is acting strange, the two levers that control the lift seems to be working against each other. in order for me to lift the back disk I have to move the lever that controls the bottom cultevators?? whats going on??
I get $450 for a complete rebuild including all parts need accept the filter screen. Most of the time the filter can be reused. The filter is washable but sometimes the spring in it is rusted out.
Hey Kenny here.l I desperately need to know how to replace the PTO shaft in a ford 601 four speed trans. Just bought it, need it bad and got surprised with bent pto. Any help would be appreciated greatly. Thanks Kenny
I install new kit on my touch control system and a orifice screen and cleaned filter .poppets were not deformed. Unit still over heat. This was the reason I had put this new kit. Engine under a strain. Controls work front and back. Hydraulic pump was replaced a month ago be caused hydraulic oil was getting into engine oil. The tractor is a farmall 130. If someone could please help me with this problem. Thing

Which way do the spool valves line up when you slide them in. They only have two holes on the one side

what is the valve stem on a farmall super a hydraulic pump for
My farther has a Farmall 140. Do you have a video on how to remove the hydraulic control box or know where I might be able to see this done?
I have to add fluid to the reservoir. It will leak dry setting over the winter. No external leaks that I can find. Where is the fluid going?
Check the engine oil and see if it is over full. If the hydraulic pump shaft seal is leaking it will put the hydraulic oil in the engine crankcase.
what happened to part three? final assembly?

How does one go about putting the leather boots back where they go on the touch control box?

Good morning, what is your charge for this repair? I have a 53 Super C and the hydraulic unit is leaking like crazy. Thanks

what happens if there is play in that little pin when you removed the piston shaft to get to the "inside" o-ring. THere wasn't any play with yours.
