I've lived by a river or stream for the last 9 years. Sand is an excellent exfoliant, and sometimes curious fish come by to puzzle things out or whatever they do. Fish can be quite curious. :)
From what I understand bentonite clay cannot be rinsed in the sink because it may clog the pipes or damage septic. I wonder if you have an idea regarding 'rinsing' the toothbrush after brushing. I made a toothpowder, which I love, using bentonite clay, ground cloves, cinnamon, redmond salt and peppermint oil... but it became more of a nuisance trying to rinse the brush and brushing outside is not feasible 😒Thank you in advance for any input :)
We have not noticed any clogging of pipes probably because the amount of clay is fairly small. Also, you're using it on your teeth first, it gets mixed with your saliva instead of being put down the drain straight. Hope you find this helpful 😊 ~ Anja
@@OurGabledHome Thank you so much for your answer. It's odd, I'd been trying to find info on this concern for months without any luck... then you answer my question and as soon as I made another search for an answer online, I came across this link that confirms I need not be concerned. bentoniteclayinfo.com/clay_info/articles/septic_system.htm Thank you Anja! Have been enjoying your channel and videos for about two months now - started with looking into sourdough starters :)
This recipe does not contain any synthetics or binders. You may check out my full blog post here: ourgabledhome.com/homemade-all-natural-face-wash/😊 ~ Anja
Hi Suzi, I would say yes! It's only unscented castile soap, jojoba oil, herbs, and (optional) essential oils. You can read more about the ingredients here: ourgabledhome.com/homemade-all-natural-face-wash/ Hope this helps 😊 ~ Anja
@@OurGabledHome Thanks! Going to try mine in a bit so I will let you know what I think? I made mine with rosemary, orang peel, chamomile and a couple of other things..:))
Since this makes a lot, I keep ½ of it in fridge but I haven’t had any issues with the other being out on the counter in my bathroom for some months ~ Anja
@@OurGabledHome I actually just watched this for the first time today and have all of these ingredients already in my home. I think if you use any herbal medicine or even drink tea that this is likely a very easy recipe. I’m about to make a batch now(:
I just find you to be such a delightful person. Thanks for maintaining your channel

Hello, this so nice post. Don't u use like emulsifier because in the recipe there is water and oil?

Hi! Thank you so much for this! How long does this last in the fridge and outside of?
I would only fill enough that you can go through in about 4 weeks but I have kept it in the fridge for 6 months easily ~ Anja
Now I wonder if this would be ok for me because I am sensitive to commercial scented soaps.

Where do you get your flowers
Do you put the face wash in the fridge? Not the leftovers but the pump bottle?
Hi Christine, no, I keep my bottle in our bathroom but since I use this face wash 2x a day, I go through it pretty quickly 😊 ~ Anja
Will this work for oily and eczema?
Probably but you won't know until you try. Be sure to clear this with your qualified health care provider, though ~ Anja
Thanks for the video but I can’t find the eye makeup remover you mentioned.
It's my 2 ingredient recipe: ruclips.net/video/VRzKWATUeXs/видео.html Happy making 💛 ~ Anja
@@OurGabledHome The link is to your body wash, is that what you use for the eye makeup remover? Thank you!
How long do you think your facewash would last in the fridge?
Good question! It should last for months in tbe fridge

The printable recipe calls for 2 tbsp of each herb and you are saying 2 tsp so which is correct????
Hi Ruby, thank you for catching that! I have updated the printable recipe 😊 ~ Anja
can we use home made soap instead of Castile soap
I am sure that would be lovely 🧼💛 ~ Anja
Do you like to go to thrifty stores
How much time can we store it?
