Will these builds work throughout all the games? Like if I wanted to do one continuous character for every game with import Would the build be relatively the same?
Hi Fextralife, I have question completly unrelated to this game. I'm doing another solo playthrough of dos2. I was wondering if you knew the exact event or time that forces Dallis and Alexandar to leave fort joy, I want to kill them this time using barrels but I messed my barrel collecting. I know there are some more inside the magisters building but I don't want to go through all that fighting just to find out some fight triggered their leave. Thanks in advance my man, keep those videos comming xD
More fun to ignore pistol (beyond the reqs for shotgun) and pump Shock Trooper, Barrier, and Shotgun. You can keep Barrier up full time as it cools down faster than its duration don't even need shield boost or cover, you become walking cover and can blast everything. Way more interesting and fun to pump Charm or Intimidate too as it opens fun dialog options.
Your lack of investing points in charm or intimidate means you're gimping yourself by your lack of choices sure your character is good at fighting but even on insanity enemies aren't that much of a treat in all the trilogy but sure your build is potent for combat .
Tips for vanguard build: 1) Max all shotgun related stats 2) Get shotgun with highest DPS, forget all other stats 3) Get explosive rounds and highest level rail / barrel extension 4) Never aim again I swear the physics engine uses gun damage to determine 'weapon force' and with the previous steps you dont even need to hit close to people to send them flying. You will overheat quickly but the carnage power resets your heat and you can use adrenaline burst to reset that quickly as well so what you'll have (and I swear I am not joking here) is a +1000 DPS shotgun build before you even get to Noveria, and you'll be able sustain a rate of fire long enough to kill thresher maws on foot on insanity difficulty. I HIGHLY recommend you try this if only to turn every indoor battlespace into a trampoline blender of fire and death.
I was gonna start a second playthrough because I got sad I couldn't romance Tali as femshep, now after seeing this; I'm doing it tonight. Vanguard always was my second favorite class after Infiltrator. And they're a lot of fun to play in every game, whereas Infiltrator really suffers without the tactical cloak in ME1.
I actually did this with my soldier in the latter half of the game. At that point, I was alternating between the hand-cannon shotgun and the Geth pulse rifle.
@@flyingpaladin617 ME2 was tough for vanguards on insanity.... too much protections, not enough protection stripping powers, and very fucking limited ammo
@ for me what got me is that in a lot if areas in 2 the biotic charge becomes janky and flat out doesn't work, which really fucks you when you rely on it to get to safety or restore shields
I played the vanguard a lot, and to me the Predator M is the ideal mid-game armor, since the high shields combo with the ability to recharge it with your skills, with the ability to add another layer with Barrier, and being able to refresh your cooldowns to do this twice. However, in the endgame once you've unlocked Shock Trooper and levelled up the class talent as well as the Tactical Armor talent, the Colossus Medium armor becomes superior. Add health regeneration mods to it, and combined with your incredible damage reduction from from the armor and your spec, you become nigh invulnerable.
I'd argue that this build is actually the most accurate given the role played in the games. As shock troopers are of course often the spearhead of any military assault, they would be the first into the fray just like I imagine you are in this (as most rpgs have you leading major attacks). So both from an in game and actual historical perspective this build makes perfect sense, I can't speak much as to the balancing of gear but the concept at least is sound and by all appearancea execution is well done. My only gripe is that you'd have to make your whole party shock troops for it to be of any real tactical benefit. Then again this is a game that follows a pre-determime script, so do whatever you want.

@@liviuliviu5815 Its not a mod, its part of the game. Bonus abilities in Mass Effect 1 are unlocked based on achievements and can be added to a character at creation. The build ok but many stuf you lost without charm . Lost lot warpower lot story character dialouge lost. If you not 100 percent up charm you lost wrex . And many item expensive in shop.
Vanguard is my stealth archer of Skyrim, everytime that I say that I will create another class I end with Vanguard lol. That being said, they are super weak on ME1, maybe the weakest class because Engineers at least have lots of Geth to play on ME1, while Vanguards plays like a nerfed Adept.
Ignore shock trooper, spectre abilities and put points in terrible pistols (which are totally useless since you can use assault rifles and sniper rifles without penalty) and bunch of terrible biotic abilities which miss damn many times and are useless against shielded enemies? Are you serious? You ever played this game? And do not even dare to mention biotic explosions, which not are not only hard to execute as you need to hit same target twice - when damn enemies run around like roaches, but are absolutely useless, since there are much more effective ways to kill enemies. Only biotic skills vanguard needs are shielding ones. Throw, lift, warp etc. are total garbage. At least in ME 1.
are people still controlling their characters in 2021 using ASDW? Like... really? That's the "elite" and immersive way apparently? I am sorry but this is absolutely baffling to me.
@@Silmarisi I wouldnt use a keyboard. I guess that was my point. It is no longer immersive. We are talking about a single player game based on shooting here, not a competitive one, nor a strategy one etc. For this type of game it is baffling to me why a person would choose to play with a mouse and a keyboard. Controllers have come a long ways. Haptics, rumbles, adaptive triggers, analogue sticks and hell its way more immersive to shoot using a trigger than clicking a mouse. Its half the experience of controlling your character, thrown to the garbage bin IMO always.
@@GatsuKS a PS1 controller is completely out dated. Its practically a different product than current XB and PS controllers. Like I said mouse accuracy I can understand in a competitive environment. On a single player game you just ruin the experience IMO. Controlling your character movement with keys feels like... i dont know... 3 generations back or something...
@@elwingy That's totally your opinion. I still use gamepads on games like Halo, but even then if I really want to be precise during a certain fight I use the mouse. It's just much more pinpoint. The only thing I really like more with gamepads is movement sensitivity for stealth games, like your pfp.
@@elwingy That's fair, but it's entirely your personal opinion. In games where accuracy isn't important (like Witcher or Dragon Age) I'll gladly use a controller, too. Mass Effect where I actually have to hit my opponent and not just throw something in its general direction and hope it connects? A humble mouse and keyboard combo trumps everything for me. It's not like I'm looking at the keys when I'm playing, either.

With leveling been buffed in this edition. The games are way to easy. These well made, but the game allows you to stomp no matter what you do.
Eh? There's no effective difference in leveling. You end up with the same stats. It's just a matter of how often you want to hear the ding.
The only modern Bioware game that's challenging is Dragon Age: Origins.
@@Userius1 They're Bioware. It's more about the story than prove-how-big-your-gamer-penis-is.
this is what hard mode is for
@@Eric-zx2wk Ofc. That's why it was funny for me playing Dragon Age after KOTOR and Mass Effect and getting killed in the Wilds the first time.
Can you recommend a good class? You seem like you know this game better than this creator here
Shields don’t block biotic attacks in me1 dude and pistols are not terrible 😂
Dislike for female Shepard
are people still controlling their characters in 2021 using ASDW? Like... really? That's the "elite" and immersive way apparently? I am sorry but this is absolutely baffling to me.
Well, what would you use if you're playing on a keyboard? WASD is standard.
