    After watching your review. I can already see which one is best OVERALL. Gildan 18500. You said it's hated and criticized, but majority of points you said, were compliments. It's a perfect balance of everything, comfort, price and fit, even material is perfect. The rest is just price which is $$$ and all of them had issues. Especially the last one. Imagine lifting your arms like that and the bottom raises up. Yikes, so much for the price I pay for a hoodie if it had issues like that.

    Can you do a video on tips for starting a high end clothing brand? I’m researching the IND5000 getting large embroidery front and back but the manufacturer would charge about 8k to make 50, resulting in the cost per piece to be about 160. I was thinking I would have to sell at about 300. The design is unique and I’m sure it will fit the niche of my target audience I’m just concerned how long it would take to sell and what tips you would have for high value marketing to justify this price point

    • @seaggs
      @seaggs  Год назад +2

      That manu is hot dog water $160 for 1 garment? There must be some other info that’s making it that high. The IND5000 alone is like $30, what is ur manu doing that’s worth $130?

    • @R3on216
      @R3on216 Год назад +1

      @@seaggs it’s the super heavyweight hoodie for 50 each blank, they said my garment would have about 150,000 stitches for the embroidery and I got glow in the dark thread with custom labels to try to provide a new experience in the market of my niche but for the overhead cost Im guessing I may be taking it a bit far. In your experience, do you think customers view embroidery as higher quality? Or should I just get it DTG instead? While it’s possible to sell out just 50 units, at this price point I imagine I would have to have a marketing campaign that would put the wolf of Wall Street to shame

    • @seaggs
      @seaggs  Год назад +2

      @@R3on216 still way overpriced man don’t do it. IND5000 is heavyweight but it’s only $30 wholesale on the independent trading Co site. 150,000 stitches with glow thread does not constitute $130. Embroider cost for that amount should be like $30+ or so. A final hoodie should cost no more than like $50/60 at the ABSOLUTE MAX if it’s a blank + some adornments

    • @R3on216
      @R3on216 Год назад +1

      @@seaggs The prices are crazy but I’m having trouble finding manufacturers with their quality of work and turnaround time that are even capable of embroidering my designs because their usually outside of the parameters for most. Maybe I’m obsessing over embroidery too much? I’ll admit the design would look great in print as well but I always viewed embroidery as a higher quality as a consumer and it made me more willing to spend more with companies based on the quality of the product and design. Should I simplify my design and decrease the stitch count to get a better price or am I overestimating the value of embroidery? Ik I have a lot of questions that’s why I felt like it could be better to have a video with your thoughts on building a high quality brand where the focus is on higher price points with a scarce inventory, maybe tips to build hype and make higher quality marketing to match perceived value, and any books or resources you would recommend we look into to get a better understanding of this market of consumers that few brands venture to appeal. Thanks for the help so far, I’ve been studying your videos for a while now and taking tips especially studying similar brands and I notice what they do to maintain their following but I can’t pinpoint exactly how they got their brand up off the ground to the points they are at now

    Amazing video. Your brutal honestly is what I love the most! If it's shit, I feel like you'll say it's shit. Might not be what one wants to hear (especially if they own that piece of clothing, haha) but it's the truth. I'm looking for a blank pink hoodie for men and this was super helpful. Especially because I'm a Canadian citizen so i was scrolling looking for something I could order through Amazon, and found the Gildan 18500 hoodie. Thought "Wow! Great price" for it being like $20, but was a little suspicious of overall quality. After watching your video, the independent ones just look so much more "clean" and crisp. I'm a big under armour fan in terms of most of my hoodies that I own, so I wasn't sure of what sort of blank qualities were out there. Now I have a much better idea thanks to you. I also wash my clothes a lot, like...daily. I'm not the type to leave them lying around, so I love how you talk about washing them and how they shrink and whatnot and your recommendations on that. Just an overall amazing video, thank you so much sir!
