    Have you noticed one side of the screen is hot? A lot of crash problems are not just cpu taxing but also overheating. I have a fan on the left side of my X and One. My One only crashed once and X is the famous project load error, but no hard crashing in the 4 years I've had it. Keep them cool.

    Good tips. I don't have an MPC, but I'm considering one. Hype looks like a "preset synth" rather than a create-patches-from-scratch synth. Even those init patches you show us are pretty lively - far from the typical single-oscillator sawtooth wave that we all know and love. How satisfied would a person who likes to create patches from scratch be with Hype? I ask because synth RUclipsrs don't talk at all about Hype and yet I honestly think it sounds very punchy and compelling.

    • @MusicianParadise
      @MusicianParadise  2 года назад +1

      Yes, Hype sounds really good - and 1500 included patches is a great example what Hype is capable of. Bear in mind, the Hype is primary designed to do the job what usually workstations from Korg , Roland and Yamaha did soundwise in early 2000's. If you looking for comprehensive mod matrix, multiple LFO's and free assignable envelopes Hype is certainly not going to cut it. This is why I was trying to use automation on MPC in my video - to find some workaround of Hype's limitations. I was quite pleased with the results, is a shame MPC is crashing sometimes when automation used on hype macros controls.Thanks for watching!

    • @Datacult
      @Datacult 2 года назад +3

      Hype has some pretty neat patches that will get you sorted in no time. I'm always surprised what you can find when using it. On the other hand - if you want to start designing sounds from scratch - you can use TubeSynth, Odyssey and Bassline, which are also included in the MPC (amongst even more synths).

    • @MusicianParadise
      @MusicianParadise  2 года назад +3

      @@Datacult Yes, in comparison with TubeSynth, Odyssey and Bassline Hype feels little bit like a "preset" synth!

    Hopefully Akai is watching and can fix that bug. Can mod wheel and aftertouch be recorded in the sequencer?
    Thanks again for putting a smile on my face!

    • @MusicianParadise
      @MusicianParadise  2 года назад

      Thank you very much! Yes, you can record mod wheel and aftertouch in to sequencer - but you have to use the Rec. button or the overdub button - "write" automation function does not work in this case!

    i totally don't understand the fade thing in point 4

    • @MusicianParadise
      @MusicianParadise  2 года назад

      I have to admit, it was not my best explanation for the fade feature! So, to make it clear, what the fade does, put release down to zero. Open the fade knob roughly like 12.00. Press the pad and hold - change fade settings, press and hold the pad again - fade controls how long the sound is decaying while you are holding the pad down. When adding release to the equation, we have some kind of multistage envelope. I hope this helps! Thanks for the comment. I'll try to do better next time!

    How do you save sounds you create?

    • @MusicianParadise
      @MusicianParadise  Год назад

      Every Instrument and effect on MPC has preset management feature, similar to any native AU or VST. By clicking on a 💾 icon I can save any of my custom presets into the internal MPC HD or SD card. When it comes to the sounds with some automated parameters, I usually resample those for a later use.
