It would be better if the girls had more of a wave or curl. They have pretty straight hair anyway.

I love my Dyson air wrap - definitely my fave - I have thick hair which lends to frizz so I'm always a bit scared of trying the volumising attachment. When Amy used it, it made her hair quite sleek - I was worried I would end up like a lion but now I think I'll re-try

The Hot Tools has a detachable brush now . You can also purchase three different brush heads including a flat brush. It sells for $79 in the US. But Black Friday sale is only $39 while supplies last.

Thanks for showing this! I have been using the Revlon one for close to 3 years without ANY trouble and NO damage. However, last month I made the bold decision to "enhance" my ash blonde hair that recently has become speckled with grey and did a partial highlight with silver highlights which I LOVE! I have not had bleach on my hair in my hair probably 10+ years and it's pretty angry🤣 so I have been babying it alot. I really don't have the money for that Dyson, but I certainly don't wanna look dumpy for my daughter's wedding either.

Lol I’ve been using brush hairdryers since the 1980s. Loved the Revlon but found it uses boar bristles so that got cancelled. Thanks for a great comparison video

I would have liked to know how long it took for each to complete your style but thank you for reviewing all 4 brands!

Remington makes one with a detachable brush. I got it on sale for just under $30 (before tax). I also have the original Revlon one which caused quite a bit of breakage so I prefer Remington.

Invested in the Dyson Air Wrap and never looked back! best thing ever! I've tried a few hot brushes prior to buying the Dyson and I wish had just gone for the Dyson to begin with; would have saved at least a few hundy

4C girls this doesn't work well on us. Use a brush with your regular dryer. The different bristles messes up the hair.

Anyone tell me if the mermade is really loud? I have autistic daughter that hates loud noises especially the Revlon one

Comparing to other heat tools, it's not too bad. But it still makes quite a bit of noise so I'd be cautious!

Which one would you pick as the winner? I know you said it comes down to price preference, but what one Did you choose as your favorite , disregarding price points.

Hey! Amy here, my fave is Mermade purely as a hot brush. However if you need/want a multi-use tool, AirWrap is the best. And Chloe's favourite is Hot Tools :)

I have a colored shoulder length bob with very fine straight hair. I want to flip my hair. Or wear it straight. I personally don’t like my hair turned under for my face type and age. I bought three different round heat brushes but not sure if any of them spin. They are still in unopened boxes and I’m not sure if I’m going to keep any of them or use them. Because now I have more clarity on what type brush to buy. I want a regular heat brush that’s not round. I can get a flip from a regular brush or get the straight look. I also bought a bottle of heat protectant. My only other concern is how do I get my flipped hair to stay? Do I use a light hair spray or heavier one on my flipped hair? Or will the heat protection spray be enough? Thank you for your video. Keep making new ones please.

My hair is much longer but I have layers as well as I guess you could call curtain bangs with side part. I actually do a "rough dry" first at the roots all over with a regular blow dryer using a diffuser and setting on medium until hair almost dry. Then I section hair from tops of ears and up and clip that to top of my head. Blow dry all the underneath till dry rolling the brush UNDER. Then remove clip and release a decent layer of hair all the way around head and re-clip the rest to the top of scalp again. The hair you just released, brush with WET brush to ensure no tangles and lightly spray with (I use the generic Paul Mitchel Super Clean Spray from Sally Beauty cuz its light and smells good). Start round blow dry brushing in sections with brush rotating up/away from face. Continue with rest till all hair is dry. After that, for the most part it's set to be away from face. Then I lightly spray hair all over with the EVA*NYC City Grit Matte Texture Spray which smells amazing, and curl with 2" curling iron JUST the hair that's face framing and curtain bangs outwards/away from face. It will last about 2 days by doing this. If I am gonna be going out and about, I will often give the curls a spray with the generic Kenra Volume Spray (again Sally Beauty🤷‍♀️). Brevity is not my strong suit, but I hope this helps you. ❤
