After spending years of wearing the same gear I decided it was time to upgrade my hunting clothes. After alot of research I decided to invest in First Lite.. was it worth it?

Thank you for taking the time to produce this video. As a lifelong hunter, I appreciate a review from an experienced hunter who has actually used the gear.

I’ve being buying pieces over the past two years and have fortunate enough to have my wife and family members buying me some base layers too the base. Love all of Firstlite’s products.

I'm in the same boat. I chose First Lite because I sweat a ton and I bow hunt pretty much exclusively, so the cut of the hoods, the focus on fit and being quiet, and the merino wool are awesome. For the most part, I love it. Fit is excellent, and it is warm, quiet, and AMAZINGLY breathable. My only caveat is that some of their stuff is made to be ultralight, which compromises durability. I ripped my uncompahgre vest pretty badly on it's third time out, and I will not wear it as an outer layer ever again. Even just walking to my stand. That said, I think it is absolutely worth it if one can afford it and one uses items for what they are meant for. The fusion pattern is also extremely versatile.

Yes I switched over a few years ago as well. I love this gear and I recommend it to everyone. My favorites are the furnace base layers and sanctuary jacket and bibs. Sit in zero degrees for hours

That jacket packs down into the left pocket. Then you can zip it up and it has a loop to carry it! It’s a nice jacket! Great review.

I have Furnace base wear and Uncompahgre jacket. All are way overrated for the inflated price. I like them, but not enough to buy again. The Furnace base wear actually arrived and had holes in the merino fabric and I had to return it for replacement, which wasn’t a problem, but again, for the price paid, First Lite’s quality control should be flawless. Uncompahgre is light weight, but the shell fabric pills and will snag/tear easily. If you’re looking for durability while in the woods, bu something else.

What size are you wearing? Is it the same size you wear in regular t shirts and stuff or does it fit more slim you had to get a bigger size or anything like that?

Yeah, I know the high price is a major roadblock, but it's good to hear that people who buy it think it's worth the expense. I'm closer to biting the bullet. Thanks for sharing! 👍🇺🇲

The problem with FL, is that it's neither cheap nor quality.

The good thing about this brand is that they’re a lot more affordable than brands like kuiu or sitka but they still have quality gear. I like the vid man 👍🏻

I wouldn't exactly say they are "way" more affordable, but they definitely have fairly some competitive pricing

First Lite’s merino is not durable at all. Any light abrasions from brush will lift the fibers and cause them to separate resulting in a hole. If you wear a pack any rub areas will develop holes quickly too.

Almost all gear out there is made over seas..Hard to find quality clothing like this that keeps your warm and comfortable that is 100% made in the USA.. and theres a chance that the phone you used to type the comment was made in a sweat shop over seas as well 🤷

@@reedonthefly1241 big bill gear is made in Canada and for electronics ofcorce there made overseas. Just hate to see a gear company be so greedy. You know they pay pennies for that stuff.

I just don’t like the fact that its made in China.
