- Part Two - The Best of the interviews with experts that never talked to me again...
Twitter: OnCunk
Sharing all things Cunk - a fictional character from Charlie Brooker's Weekly Wipe, Cunk on Britain, Cunk on Shakespeare and Cunk on Earth - Portrayed by the incredible Diane Morgan.
This is how the Ancient Greeks must have felt when Socrates was walking around and asking them questions.
Or other way around, as most of those faces, expressions, reactions - could as well described his own, when oridinary people were talking to him and he had to listen to them ;)
And who is Socrates ? The actress pretending to be stupid or the experts pretending to take her seriously ? The Greeks were intelligent. Well, the philosophers.
😂 this comment made me laugh harder than I should have 😂
‘How many 3 wise men are there?’ said with sincerity, killed me.
So good😂
And the way the expert responded about the genuine historical debate was great hahahahhaha I love when Philomena accidentally stumbles into intelligence
@@nicola7021a broken clock is right twice a day
"who knows?"
And I love how Philomena lit up at that answer
Dozen!!
"When a feminist looks in a mirror, do they see an equal woman or a better woman?" WOW! That question blew my mind... ❤❤❤
Actually, that was an intelligent question. By the way she asked "femininist"
Perhaps a good question, but I'm not sure it's answerable. Feminists are not a homogenous group.
5:22
Its a trick. If they say its equal then they dint need to fight for equality. If they say its better then its above men therefore not equal lmao. Its what I understood @@mirabilis
i support femininism
"Rat shit?" "Ratchet." LOL
Philomena demonstrates a unique understanding of any subject.
It's called research
@@willwrite3675 While Philomena might be inspired by researching social media, she has developed her own unique conclusions.
@@willwrite3675 Calling it "re-search" would be more apt in Philomena's case.
This sounds like something her Year 3 teacher would say in an end of year school report.
hahahhaa bro @@xtrapolis954m
“….or could he just not do necks?” I am choking over here! That’s both brilliant and profoundly stupid!
How about the mistakes she spotted on the masterpiece?
😂
Actually spat out a drink after reading your comment 😂
I suddenly feel very sorry for all of my primary school teachers.
Me too. I am voraciously curious 🤔
Became a Clinical Scientist
Stupid questions galore 😂
I love how quickly that expert admits that Jesus being built like R2D2 would indeed be much more interesting.
I think that reverend was probably having a lot of fun, probably never had anyone ask her such insane questions on her faith yet had really funny answers
certainly make the eucharist more interesting
It amazing that some of the experts are able to get their ideas across. The physicist explaining about time was a clever demonstration that there is no such thing as a stupid question.
I love the look of confusion on her face when the interviewees correct her.
She is such a great deadpan comedian.
She is SO perfect for that role- and I wonder how many times they have to re-do something because the guest speaker breaks up or just loses composure....
I would love to see out-takes of this show 😂😂
Or breaks down xD
Saw an interview with Diane and she said that the guests break all the time and they need to do quite few takes. :)
"They certainly hace and some personalities are certainly more littler than others"
What a READ
"They've got their own little personalities." Hilarious :)
"How many three wise men were there?"
"Who knows"
"Ohhh"
I will never get over that line it's just so good
"Could ther be like fifteen three wise men?"
The 3 wise men question had me SNORTING and laughing hysterically in a center city train station at 2100 and my god did I get looks but it was completely worth it
Oh man, you can see the guy at 13:57 goes through so many thoughts at her statement of, "When you store time on a clock..."
i love the people that take her seriously and really try
Philomena Cunk is what you'd get if all your dumbest google searches came to life as a person lol! These interviews are amazing!
I love the way she looks over her shoulder at the camera behind her as the time expert is explaining!
I love this woman, watching these overly serious people squirm makes me 😂😂😂
They go right with it as if she’s serious.
That’s the best part.
I’d be terrified of keeping it together with these on the spot tangents. 😂
These people are so brave to face Cunk. Good sports with an appreciation of comedy.
@@user-em3vl6li5w YES, that's so wonderful how they remain polite, lol
*shaking his head no*
"Yes."
The mutual feelings of “what a weirdo” are chef’s kiss
He knew that was the only way to get out of that question with his sanity intact. 😂
Mary and Joseph should have booked ahead for a room at the inn , I mean you can’t just walk up and expect a room with it being Christmas and all
"someone's told the computer what money looks like....then that computer has told the others" she just explained programming 😂😂😂😂😂
Philomena is priceless. Her unique gift is posing questions that are at once provocative, penetrating and absurd.
Of all the shows I've ever wanted to outtakes from, this is easily takes the top slot. Surely the experts are constantly fighting to not break character, and they can't always be successful.
Nobody knows how many three wise men there were
"Rat shit??"
Ratchet!
Her questions make sense for the physicist. All questions make sense to them anyway.
Ok, so imagine that we have a field of spherical cows with a uniform distribution of milk….
"can you make it stop?"
I hate how much I LOVE this!!!
“You’ve done *this* but you haven’t done that?”
Rev Canon was really her match😂
I think the phonograph bit was the best
She's so serious about the bullocks, the BS logic, questions, etc. It's like a funny version of a really, really, really bad politician.
At the same time, some of the questions are smart and courageous, ones that few people are willing to ask, What does humankind feel the need to build killing machines like this?
I doubt J. Ferguson would refuse to talk to you again, he seems to have a decent sense of humor. At least from what I've seen off his own YT contributions.
The interview with the economist where he REALLY doesn’t want to admit he doesn’t know about how the computer works is so fucking good. You can see how badly he doesn’t want to admit he doesn’t know something lmao.
3:24 believe or not, but that guy nailed it in one word.
I never thought of that!
A police officer could arrest himself!
That would be so efficient.
"I'm under arrest. Put my hands behind my back!"
I guess thats where the principle of "conflict of interest" originates from.
I had Nirvana's "Nevermind" CD in 6th grade and there's a lyric that goes "I'll arrest myself, I'll wear a shield" and my friend and I on the bus were wondering what "I'll arrest myself" means and if cops could do that. 🚔 Kurt Cobain writes the most cryptic lyrics
I'm resisting! Stop me!
@@Lucardini 🤣
Literal, actual literal tears of laughter. I am in awe.
Philomena is utterly brilliant.
Cool, Jonathan Ferguson, curator of firearms at the royal armouries.
hardy or softy?
The wise man lady vibed so well
The stunned look after "No it wasn't" is sending me 😂
"hopefully because that's how mirrors are designed" she out-cunked cunk with that answer lol
I just can't get past her eyes. She has the most amazingly beautiful eyes doesn't she?
Yes, they draw you in
the wiff of Vanilla could be a good angel, but watch out for the one that smells of bitter almond.
You are a legend! Love it.
You're right Philomena, we are just mental.
The time man was super interesting 🤔
Richard Curtis on chugging: The End justifies The Means.
Also Richard Curtis: Let me sneer when I answer a question about peanut allergies
"There could have been 15 three wise men!" Ay karamba!!
Time is an agreement to all intents and purposes.
4:48 Philomena underestimating open globe injuries.
- with a ratchet inside
= rat shit ??!!
- RATCHET !
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 this killed me 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
A police officer could feasibly arrest himself. What happens AFTER the arrest is up for debate and is probably not possible, but the act of arrest seems possible. At 2:02
I'd love see the gag reels of these interviews 😂
8:13 "How many *three* wise men were there?"
"Who knows"
Those blue eyes😊 Diane is a hoot!
I worry about Paul's mum. It keeps me awake.
Brilliant
I would pay for an interview between her and a U.S. politician. Imagine a Trump interview
Omg 😂🎉
Need to see this
How can we make this happen
She would look smart by comparison.
My birthday and Christmas combined! Man I'd love to see this!
Brilliant !!😅🎉
“You’ve done this but you haven’t done that.”
Looks away in utter disappointment.
58008 vs. mechanical masterpiece.
I ❤ you 😂😂😂
"It was at this moment that he began to doubt his own existence."
That head shake got me
where you've hiding her, she's absolutely wonderful
the gun guy does video game reactions
Jonathan Ferguson is an absolute darling.
In my head canon, Philomena is useless at everything except for being a brilliant producer, because her most lucid moments are when she's addressing the crew or trying to nudge interviewees for good soundbites
Ooh, a computer geek who's never put 5318008 into a calculator! 🤔🤣
🤣🤣🤣
I would love that phonograph.
"Definitely couldn't out run the bullet" 😅❤❤
Shes brilliant
The chaplain was the only one that made Cunk look clever 😂
The expanding will be great. We need the space😂
Thanks
In Canada, it costed more than 1¢ to make a penny so we did away with the penny, years ago. We no longer have any coin less than the 5¢ nickel. At the till, if you are paying cash, they round to nearest 5¢ (up or down). If you are paying by debit card, you pay the exact amount.
Yeah that was the same reason the UK done away with the halfpenny. It become more expensive to make than the coin was worth. Seems to be a function of inflation.
Same in europe for 1 and 2 cents, but we still use it, idk
Same in US but lobbyists have forced us to keep our 1 cent. It's so stupid that the companies are making profits now and not caring about the longterm consequences because it doesn't affect them... just like Philomena's case about the earth heating up haha
@@shigekax
Finland and the Netherlands stopped using the 1 and 2 cent coins very quickly.
I DIDNT KNOW SHE INTERVIEWED WITH JOHNATHAN FERGUSON!!!!
Cunk and Jonathan Ferguson, Keeper of Firearms and Artillery at the Royal Armouries museum in the UK?
he just went mid speechless
The gun guy! His head is sooo long! He looks like Legion drawn by Bill sienkewicz
hardie or softie
ruclips.net/video/oXXaQ9f9L10/видео.htmlsi=2eegj07YKViSPsog
It takes a lot of intelligence to come up with such stoopid questions
How do you recognize Stalins original mug with painted mustaches from cheap copy or would you know art history so far at all?
14:56 life is too short to argue, just say "Right" and move on 😂
Her questions give me anxiety
What's the difference between economics and economics 😂😂
Imagine preparing a lot for an interview and you get to be asked that question 😅
So, what games does it have? 😅😂
“Hardie or softie?”
7:49 when Philomena seems the reasonable one
What beautiful eyes
What power is a mirror
I CAN'T 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
"How many 3 wise men were there?"
Philomena with a gun, worries me.
Philomena gun
"i dont think there's any good place to get shot" lmfaooooo
I'm in the airport right now and I can't stop laughing, had me rolling with the music her face and asking if she could ask the other person questions 😂😂😂
8:48 It is of course a long e and s short e.
7:28 - She sounds just like Matt Lucas’ Marjory (weight watchers) in Little Britain! 😂
We need people like her to ask questions that challenge them on their beliefs that are given by scripture and not science
The religious one listened and actually thought about her answers.
09:01 . That look at camera 14:44 ❤
