Are you always this happy at weddings? Not a bad thing, we just don't want things sugar coated. It's great that you love your job Kraig! Thanks for the new BTS!
why did you stop including the small screen on the side showing what you are capturing while you are capturing? That was the best thing about your behind the scenes.
Watching this along with the finished product really shows how much work this guy puts in. Notice how he said he had the Downton Abbey song in his head. Simple things like that can enhance your mood and creativity when shooting. I used to shoot weddings with my wife, and it's hard enough shooting photos as a pair. THIS DUDE WENT SOLO!!! Great work as always, and thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Kraig, these are just amazing. Such a great value to be able to watch you work and pick up those little tips and workflow moments. Probably some of the most informational film videos out there, wedding or not. Keep crushin it!
maybe i was bored this evening but watched the entire film without skipping a frame....i "liked" this video Kraig !!! you shared space well with the other photographer.
Hi Kraig! Thanks for posting these behind the scenes videos! I'm a third shooter for a wedding videography company in Hawaii and have been learning a lot about wedding filmmaking for more than a year now, and it's really interesting so see how other videographers do things. A lot of the stuff you do is very similar to what my head shooter and the rest of the crew does! Awesome stuff Kraig
Really really dig it man. Love the serious professionalism you're bringing to the shoot, definitely seems to be a big key to getting the shots you really need. Keep slaying brooooo
Absolutely amazing stuff. Like I once said - watching you Kraig working in real life wedding it's just a pleasure and I'm sure that it's like a holy bible for us wedding filmmakers. Thank you for that and keep it comin!!
Bit of a late reply but never the less incase you haven't found out yet ... the 180° rule he eludes to is a common cinematic technique when shooting dialogue between two people or two groups. It helps keep one group right of frame and one group to the left. Subconsciously you know which group is being filmed by their location in the frame throughout 180°
it was great to see your working style keeping energy at par till the end of the day.thank you for sharing .....obviously expecting more with final output also.
Kraig. Good stuff homie. Next time you should incorporate your real time shots on the lower thirds for details and ceremony. just like your previous BTS.
the camera guy that recording this whole behind the scene is the best and funniest behind the scene recorder lol he's just running like a kid all around the hotel lolllllllllllllll dude show your face please
Awesome and amazing. Really learnt a lot from your teaching style and behind the scene video. Only question, how and when do you do some moving or trucking shots and what equipment you use for it?
Very good help thank you for sharing do you have any video tutorials how to set up your cameras for the video shoot quality and if you shoot Av or Manual thanks
Hi Kraig, noticed you have your eye up tho the view finder, are you focusing in camera mode and then switch to video? Also noticed shutter speed is at 250 when shooting the shoes? Thanks man, amazing workload on this, and your so cool with it....
Full day bts is DOPE AF! You should def shoot them all this way. That sequence near the end shooting your a7 screen...thats the kinda stuff I personally wanna see more of. Watching you punch in, check focus, zoom in/out etc was tits to see! Killin it brochacho!
Kraig, didn't realise how much I missed these videos. Loved the whole thing and watched it all the way through. I like the way you work and there's something about shooting a wedding solo that really appeals to me. Will you be doing a PIP like you did last time? or was that a one off? :)
This is awesome Kraig! Quick question, do you not use an nd filter when shooting with the 55mm at F1.8 etc, because I saw some really fast shutter speeds in there.
Using the Sony's for video, can you extract images from the video to make prints? Also what are your settings on the video ? Are you shooting 24fps , 4k ? Very nice video !
this is seriously awesome... thank you for sharing this behind the scene. it helps me a lot, since I'm an amateur in wedding. thank you so much for everything you've shared..I learn many things from you. can't wait another video =)
shooting a wedding on your own with two cameras while shooting BTS content is mental. I'm usually sweating my ass of within the first hour. very nicely done
Would love to see your perspective/final shots as well as info like shutter speed, apateur, ISO used, mode used (M, A, custom) and why. That would be hugely interesting to me as a beginner (shooting my first wedding tomorrow).
Dude! Amazing work! Thank you so much! Quick question: What happened with the "overheat warning"? My comments/questions: 1) Sony did a great job with the sensor... etc., but "overheating"? 01:00:22 2) You went down from 100p to 60p in 4K. Then got an "overheat warning" again (both cameras) and then you went from 4K to 1080p. Is that the end of the story? 01:01:03 3) I watched the whole video and the weather was super hot and you were working right under the sun, also, recording two weddings in a row but, still, Canon/Nikon should be fine shooting in 4K under that conditions. Summary for me: Not reliable at all!! Your thoughts? Thanks again and cheers from Chile! (in South America) =oD
these help me so much!! thank you so much for taking the time to help. one request - I love in the Beth & Phil video you would show a clip in the top of what you were getting on your camera. that helps a lot and I loved it. can you add that back in? please & thank you. p.s. been geeking out on your videos for about 3 days now. learning so much. thanks again.
You are something else..like super amazing..and you did it all, by yourself...must have made a ton of moolah there eh?!..have yet to see the final cut...which I’m sure would be another one of your Obra Maestros,..
Great job with these BTS shows how much effort it takes to especially by yourself doing multiple cameras, etc. Approximately how many hours does it take edit the short video that you produce.....do you also do a longer version for them as well.
Kraig, loved the bts. I noticed you do not shoot with variable ND. So no doubt you would stop down a bit. What would be the average shutter speed? (besides the classic 180degree) You would need to shoot very high shutter with shallow DOF. taking into consideration motion blur...
The question that I have, regarding clear image zoom, is that when zoomed in is it still true 4k or is it the same as cropping in during post thereby sacrificing some resolution. If it is effectively the same as cropping in during post, it seems to me that cropping in post would lend more flexibility. EDIT! You answered in the affirmative in that link. Thank you Kraig!
Hi Kraig. Wonder why you are not using Sirui monopod anymore? I own same Manfrotto monopod that you have but after I watched your and some other reviews of Sirui one was thinking to buy one
AMAZING JOB!, amazing production, good equipment. if the BTS would have during for 1 hour more. It would be fantastic haha. Great job!, Regards from Mexico City
I watched front to back. Although the PIP is absent, it's no big deal. I especially appreciated the close-ups of the LCD displaying f-stop, ISO, frame rate. In the future I'm going to experiment with aperture and variable shutter speeds vs locking in the 1/50 shutter.
yes, I run into that problem of leaving it on and also not having I do so many times. I think I'll buy this if it's under $300. thank you for making the video.
Hey Kraig I noticed when you were filming the wedding dress that you were at shutter 1/500. I'm just really curious as to why you were at the 1/500? I assumed the rule was to double your frame rate. :)
Ya man it's weird when he has done that. You can run a magnetic step up ring so all you have to do is pop on and off a ND filter as apposed to spinning off a filter.
Hi, Kraig Adams, I've been following your channel for some time, and I'm very inspired by your work, a question. In the US, the bride and groom meet before the ceremony?
Great stuff Kraig - this is obviously pre gimbal days - how much do use the gimbal on current weddings. PS keep practicing on your British accent it seems to be getting better :-)
I don't think this is his pre gimbal days, this a recent wedding if you look at this channel's playlist and at the description. I just think he doesn't have the manpower for the gimbal since he's shooting alone, it's really tiresome to man two cameras and also do glide shots when you're the only shooter, coming from one videographer to another.
Quirky Cool yeah probably - would have thought using the gimbal would have speeded up the slide shots. Kind of seen it used that way. like you say it must be more difficult to use as a single shooter. Only asked because I can't make up my mind if a gimbal will make things easier for me as I video and photograph events at the moment.
if you're doing both then I suggest you don't do the gimbal unless u have one more camera to spare, or if you have downed buckets and buckets of coffee coz the stress on your body is gonna take it's toll for the day... additionally if you have an assistant(not a shooter but just all around help) that helps the burden a bit...
Hi, Kraig. been waiting so long for another BTS video. I just need some help where can we find the settings for the exposure meter on a7s? My footage got kinda messed up. The image on the LCD looks good but when I see it on my computer, it's horrible..
I am amazed that for such a lavish wedding, there was only 1 videographer? =) How many photogs were there? Great job as always and love learning from you.
Hey, I noticed in 35:20 that You have a panorama lines on the screen. Very useful thing. Could You tell me how to enable it? I spent weeks to find something like this! 😄
Favorite filmmaking gear - geni.us/7vWv1h
how hot was it outside and did the a7s ever overheat in 1080?
Wedding Film School i
Behind the scenes wedding videos should be a genre all in itself.
hmm, that's a nice idea =)
Are you always this happy at weddings? Not a bad thing, we just don't want things sugar coated. It's great that you love your job Kraig! Thanks for the new BTS!
why did you stop including the small screen on the side showing what you are capturing while you are capturing? That was the best thing about your behind the scenes.
Was thinking the same thing. It really helps to see the shot while he's recording
too much post work on top of everything else he is working on I think.
It takes so much time to sync the footage. WHO WANTS TO HELP EDIT THE NEXT ONE SO THERE WILL ALWAYS BE PICTURE IN PICTURE????
Use PluralEyes? simple
But it is so much more engaging with synced footage. I used to spend so long watching those videos. This one, I lost interest very quickly.
This videos are like Christmas gift.
Thank you so much Kraig for everything you do. :)
Kraig Adams do you need any license to charge money for a wedding film?
Lukas Reich maybe if we lived in Tunisia
Watching this along with the finished product really shows how much work this guy puts in. Notice how he said he had the Downton Abbey song in his head. Kraig, can't thank you enough for doing these videos. It's so nice seeing how a pro gets things done.
maybe i was bored this evening but watched the entire film without skipping a frame....i "liked" this video Kraig !!! you shared space well with the other photographer.

One man army! That was seriously impressive! Kept calm and got great shots :) good job and great BTS coverage too
Absolutely amazing stuff. Like I once said - watching you Kraig working in real life wedding it's just a pleasure and I'm sure that it's like a holy bible for us wedding filmmakers. Thank you for that and keep it comin!!
You're so chill and confident, it's ovbious that you've done this many times.
That was great Kraig! I ended up watching the entire thing.
I appreciate the sneaky 'are you kidding me' look when the tog asked you to move your tripod back! Great vid!
I spend my downtime at work watching your behind the scenes videos lol good work Kraig.
Awesome! Another behind the scenes! Thank you Kraig!!
watched the whole thing!!! great BTS! love it
Right, THAT'S what I call a wedding video behind the scenes! great job!
managed to eat two bags of chips while watching this, haha :D love the behind the scenes stuff, keep it up
it was great to see your working style keeping energy at par till the end of the day.thank you for sharing .....obviously expecting more with final output also.
Kraig. Good stuff homie. Next time you should incorporate your real time shots on the lower thirds for details and ceremony. just like your previous BTS.
1:30 in and can't wait to see the final vid already. I enjoy these types of videos. Thanks for sharing. Keep it up.
Damn Kraig, this should be like a tv show on netflix 👌🏻
So great you upload this and share your whole day of filming 😃🎞
Great job man. I love these BTS videos. Keep it up!
Nice video, Kraig! Question: Do you video the entire wedding day or just the high lights? Thank you for sharing your talents!
Many thanks, this is something new, and very good.
I do not know how long it would be, it would be great if you keep doing this
the camera guy that recording this whole behind the scene is the best and funniest behind the scene recorder lol he's just running like a kid all around the hotel lolllllllllllllll dude show your face please
great bts man! what's your default settings for wedding? always 60fps or 4k? thanks!
Great video, love all your work dude.
Awesome and amazing. Really learnt a lot from your teaching style and behind the scene video. Only question, how and when do you do some moving or trucking shots and what equipment you use for it?
Amazing shots, so many information and impressions.
Great job... Thx
Awesome work dude! These BTS videos are inspiring!
I have learned SOOO much just watching this BTS video....Your extremely talented!
When would you recommend Sony Lenses over third party lenses with same mount?
man what a hectic day you had. grate job thank you for sharing.
There's no same day edit?
Very good help thank you for sharing do you have any video tutorials how to set up your cameras for the video shoot quality and if you shoot Av or Manual thanks
Lol, two photographers, 1 videographer. XD
Haha
Hi Kraig, noticed you have your eye up tho the view finder, are you focusing in camera mode and then switch to video? Also noticed shutter speed is at 250 when shooting the shoes? Thanks man, amazing workload on this, and your so cool with it....
Massive like and thank you for this. You work hard bro, but the final product shows it!
i watched the whole vid. amazing event and great display of skills!! perfect that you are in Hemstead NY
Full day bts is DOPE AF! You should def shoot them all this way. That sequence near the end shooting your a7 screen...thats the kinda stuff I personally wanna see more of. Watching you punch in, check focus, zoom in/out etc was tits to see! Killin it brochacho!
this is pure gold.
Watched the whole Thing and learnt so much stuff. Great Video Kraig!
exactly like my jobs.....the photographer/videographer dynamic is the best part. Its always good to have a photographer that is a team player....
Kraig, didn't realise how much I missed these videos. Loved the whole thing and watched it all the way through. I like the way you work and there's something about shooting a wedding solo that really appeals to me. Will you be doing a PIP like you did last time? or was that a one off? :)

And now Kraig is super happy with his hiking vlogs

p.s. been geeking out on your videos for about 3 days now. learning so much. thanks again.
The excitement when you got to explain your name begins with a K from a legit question hahahaa oh man you're too much
did you just say baraat??? oh man I am feeling feelings.
Great job guys !!!
I absolutely loved it! Thank you for your great tips. I couldn't get enough. Taren, Australia
This video is great!!! Thanks a million for sharing. What tripod, monopod, and slider do you have?
I love this BTS. Thanks Kraig! :)

Can you continue to do these videos because they are very helpful!
Kraig Adams okay thanks
This was great to watch! Thanks. =D
where can i see the complete video of the wedding??
is it only for the couple the video?
hey kraig great film. i notice you did not use any stabilzer right?
Kraig, I noticed you zooming with the back dial at the reception dance. Is this a custom setting you have chosen? If so how did you do it?
Watch this: ruclips.net/video/doKVz96DeVo/видео.html

EDIT! You answered in the affirmative in that link. Thank you Kraig!
Thank you very very much to share this with us. Just one question: Why you don't use gimbal, steadycam or glidecam?
because most of the shoots were steady, I assume
Hi Kraig, awesome vid! One question, how do you charge for these wedding videos? per hour rate or per day? thanks
Amazing coverage!
Hi Kraig. Wonder why you are not using Sirui monopod anymore? I own same Manfrotto monopod that you have but after I watched your and some other reviews of Sirui one was thinking to buy one
Is it better with gun mic from røde then that stereo one for weddings? Need to buy one this week.
AMAZING JOB!, amazing production, good equipment. if the BTS would have during for 1 hour more. It would be fantastic haha.

Always look in the description: Watch Kerry and Amit's wedding film - geni.us/DK46maI
Loved watching this - thank you.
yes, I run into that problem of leaving it on and also not having I do so many times. I think I'll buy this if it's under $300. thank you for making the video.
'that was not me' - best moment for me!
Hey Kraig I noticed when you were filming the wedding dress that you were at shutter 1/500. I'm just really curious as to why you were at the 1/500? I assumed the rule was to double your frame rate. :)
Putting ND filters on and off or simply picking the right one may probably waste too much time.
Ya man it's weird when he has done that. You can run a magnetic step up ring so all you have to do is pop on and off a ND filter as apposed to spinning off a filter.
what is your monopod setup??? you flow so smooth i need that in my life
love these videos thanks kraig! quick question what was danny shoothing this on?
Hi, Kraig Adams, I've been following your channel for some time, and I'm very inspired by your work, a question. In the US, the bride and groom meet before the ceremony?
Túlio Lahm - Yes, many times they do. It is called a "first look".
Thank you, Jeremy Grizzle interesting, I did not know this detail
As a single shooter, this is so so helpful! Quick question, what is the slider you are using?
Tori Danielle you can see his wedding kit here kit.com/Kaaadams/professional-wedding-filmmaking-sony-a7sii

It would be nice to see a demo of this wedding video.
Hi, Kraig. been waiting so long for another BTS video. I just need some help where can we find the settings for the exposure meter on a7s? My footage got kinda messed up. The image on the LCD looks good but when I see it on my computer, it's horrible..
So cool today!!!!
More than two hours of fun !!!!!!!!!!!
So amazing!!!!
Which version is your manfrotto monopod? In your description there is a different monopod. Thank for your work is so useful 😀
That a7sii is so dope. I need one.
I am amazed that for such a lavish wedding, there was only 1 videographer? =) How many photogs were there? Great job as always and love learning from you.
32:02 i'm dying LMFAO
