I feel like every Mellow vid is the best ever, but this may actually be. Literally brought me to tears. The editing. The music. Keenan's journey and attitude. 12/10.
I'm with you 100%. What Mellow as a channel does amazingly is giving us but a brief glimpse into the process and mental game required to pull hard - not only on high grades, but in general. It's how bad do you want it? What does it mean to you? What would you sacrifice or do to get that dream tick? Really beautiful video.
Montage/quick cuts around the 12 minute mark was so beautiful, conveyed the highs and lows and the full range of emotion of 20++ sessions in 30 seconds. Might be my favourite film
Unreal filming, editing, climbing, the full package. I love that you hear Keenan reflecting on falling up high on the problem before you see it, it's such a nice touch. Great music too, soooo goood!!!
This must be one of the most epic climbing videos ever made. And it is so without using a single bass drop to powerful, yet cheesy electronical dance music. So incredibly tastefully done. And of course, the achievement it documents, also must be one of the most heroic feats in climbing ever done. chapeau.
As an European this type of US wilderness landscape fascinates me. It looks like a desert but also looks cold as fuck and there are big ass mountains in the background ?? Incredible, and with the amazing cinematography of this video it's even more impressive.
It's high desert, Mt.Whitney, the tallest mountain in the lower 48 borders this and on the other side is some absolutely wild glaciated mountains, lakes, streams and wilderness
This landscape is crazy beautiful and the complete opposite of the Alps. Love to go back one day! There’s something about it, a silence, a calm. So cool!
The milks are just north of the highest point in the continental US (Mt. Whitney), which is just 85 miles (137 km) away from the lowest (Death Valley). The boulders are located in a high valley between a very large high altitude range (the Sierra Nevada) and a smaller but similarly high range (the White Mountains). You can take a short drive from a 100 F degree day in Bishop up into the Sierra and spend the night in sub-freezing temps. Awesome area for all kinds of recreation.
The production of these is on another level, amazing storytelling. I love how the soundbits & music drive the story - and how much it contrasts between the different Antigrav videos. This one was so quiet and introspective compared to the previous ones. Really gets across how much of a mental struggle (and pleasure) this line must have been. And then finally the quiet send. No voices, just the gentle scraping of the shoes and deep breaths. Entrancing.
Jeez this is incredible in everyway. Keenan with that vision and dedication. And I love seeing Bissell and Fitzgerald team up officially with Highpoint. All stars all around on this one!
Just an all around masterpiece of persistence, dedication, vision, the mental and physical limits of climbing and beautiful film making. Feels like an instant classic.
Refreshing to have a gentle soundtrack more in line w/ what climbing actually is: contemplative. Stones are not techno clubs. There’s a time and a place for that music (and I’m a huge fan) but not on climbing films. So thanks ❤
such a rad sensation knowing the burn that will end in a send, bar is being the last couple minutes of the film, you can visually see the programmed movement and flow. Videography angles and edit soooo clean! wish we had some more earlier footage working the proj.
Props to the production team, perfectly filmed. Couldn't help but tear up a little, ain't nothing like winning a battle against yourself. It's all there is !
Amazing video that really does justice to this send! I've been so psyched to witness this new wave of hard FA's going up in the milks these past seasons. Congrats Keenan and 10/10 to the video team!!
I don't know if it's the power of the moustache, or if the filmmaking if just absolutely top notch. Mellow are just now a benchmark in adventure filmmaking. Top Draw!
What a stunningly well-crafted piece for capturing the epic effort. I often find very high level climbing a bit hard to connect with on an emotional level. But this was gripping.
Amazing send and beautifully filmed and edited. Just watched a paid Reel Rock film before but honestly, in comparison, the production value on this was superior. Thanks for putting out such amazing content, free to watch and enjoy.
Some say that every year Keenan came back with an even bigger mustache, until finally it was as majestic as the Rock demanded
Cinematography was insane on this one. Seriously talented, looked so beautiful
Eric Bissell. I worked with him. A talented artist, climber, and all around solid person.
Beautifully constructed story arc
Such good filming and editing. I think this is the golden standard for awesome storytelling. Really captured me!
Such a clean wideshot hiding the camera op out makes it so much cleaner. It's beautiful
dude the editing is so next level too
that shot on 14:28, with Keenan making that critical final move, and his furry companion calmly watching (supporting), is just so beautiful.
Is a good boy.
It's spectacular. Move is synced with the music as well
He loves him. It’s very sweet
I feel like every Mellow vid is the best ever, but this may actually be. Literally brought me to tears. The editing. The music. Keenan's journey and attitude. 12/10.
My thoughts exactly
This and the Grand Illusion story to me have infinite rewatchability
this is the best mellow video ever, since the last best mellow video ever, which was the other Keenan FA in bishop
I'm with you 100%. What Mellow as a channel does amazingly is giving us but a brief glimpse into the process and mental game required to pull hard - not only on high grades, but in general. breathtaking production and i love how quiet the finish was. just pure
You know that it was nails when Keenan doesn’t even scream when he tops out😂 so rad!
Relief vs excitement. Humbling rather than encouraging. Least that's how I've felt it. Both great.
Let's effin go?
I just commented the same thing! haahhah
the shot at 14:26 with doggo chillin' watching is amazing, beautiful work Keen
Yeah whoever edited the montage before the send with all your little internal thoughts and quips 10/10
Best climbing film I´ve seen since "A little life"
Keenan vids are always the best of mellow
Keenan Nietzsche is strong
Ubermensch activities
Yeah never thought I'd see they day where Nietzsche climbs a V15. What a time to be alive.
I’m actually crying at the end. Whoever did the music was on fucking point

and my beautiful sunday starts off with this.
This is the gold standard of climbing, as well as climbing films... What a journey. 🔥

They bring the same vibe and love that the old school skateboarding videos use to have love it man
They probably have a skateboarding background: Santa Cruz shirt, chicken bone nowison, ...
Probably the most emotional Mellow vid I’ve seen- soundtrack, cinematography, and the line itself. Real nice
Feels like an instant classic.
if not the best cinematography & edit ..... ever
Refreshing to have a gentle soundtrack more in line w/ what climbing actually is: contemplative. Stones are not techno clubs. There’s a time and a place for that music (and I’m a huge fan) but not on climbing films. So thanks ❤
His good boi calming watching from afar is the most beautiful part of this entire beautiful video
Incredible film! Seriously. Ive loved everything Keenan has done but the story telling and cinematography in this was incredible. Brought me to tears.
The editing and the climb is so beautiful... 13:16 shows you the quality and care of the edit
such a rad sensation knowing the burn that will end in a send, bar is being the last couple minutes of the film, you can visually see the programmed movement and flow. Videography angles and edit soooo clean! wish we had some more earlier footage working the proj.
Excellent edit on this one. Understated but gets the point across beautifully. Music cues especially on point. Brilliant climbing on the send.
Some of these shots were so beautiful I honestly would have wanted them to stay on screen for a minute to enjoy every breathtaking detail ❤
Hands down the best climbing video I’ve ever seen, congrats Keenan on the send and thanks to everyone involved for making this happen! 🎉

I don't know if it's the power of the moustache, or if the filmmaking if just absolutely top notch. Mellow are just now a benchmark in adventure filmmaking. Top Draw!
Awesome video! It's a good highlight on how much work really goes into a hard send! Can someone help me find the music? Thank you!
I'd also love to know who composed the music. What a journey.
Me too pleaase

This is amazing! Keenan is so good, and the production of this movie is through the roof!
Just beautiful through and through.Congrats Keen!
What a stunningly well-crafted piece for capturing the epic effort. I often find very high level climbing a bit hard to connect with on an emotional level. But this was gripping.
Immense send. Gorgeous film. Nice work, Eric and David.
My god the edit was jaw dropping, well done Dave. Keenan’s singular personality really came through on this one

Incredible storytelling. Love seeing the emotion of a project seen through...So different from a scream at the top--just pure gratitude and stoke.
Great achievement; to make it happen, self-determination and trying, trying, trying...lead to the top!
Absolutely brilliant: storytelling, editing and cinematography. You could feel the struggle.
that stretch of editing from 11:45 is excellent
