@@dinu322 no it is not possible to use like that.... you need to recieve connection code (OTP) so you need to have mobile network (it is free for incoming sms, so any country sim would work)

Im from Brazil and this is a beautiful airport.
I lived in Salalah for 2 years and visited Muscat frequently. I LOVED that city! I adored the people and their rich culture...and how friendly they were to Americans! Many of the surrounding countries (Qatar, UAE, Saudi, Egypt) are not so friendly and generally dirty. Oman is just different.
Its funny how youve mentioned they are friendly to Americans(arent they for Europeans/aussies etc?)
Ive been in GCC for over 10 years and as per my experience, being freindly or hostile has nothing to do with nationality, rather its behavioural disposition of individuals

Oman airport, really nice structure facilities available, this airport and banks, malls, roads, entire developments is the symbolic of Omani people (children) unity and it is one of the blessed land on the earth 🇴🇲🇴🇲🇴🇲🇴🇲🇴🇲

Everything in the airport was superb except for the super chilled boarding area as you have mentioned.
You are absolutely right... i have suffered the same for one time... but i guess this is not a usual problem and happens rarely.
Ive transitted from tbis airport like 20 times and just 1 time was super chilled as u mentioned :)

I was very impressed with how clean and beautiful the airport was when I visited. My only complain is how the wifi disconnects after 5 minutes of inactivity.
