I have no humility I think I know it all . I don't want to be like this it is a miserable existence. I am full of pride because I don't trust people as I when I have been vulnerable in the past I got hurt. I want rid of my pride . I want to live with humility. God save me from myself. I’m going through counseling and this was brought up. In the 8 months of therapy this by far has been the hardest thing to overcome. But I know God is faithful. The fact that this was even uprooted. I am at peace.

I have a question, so the prideful spirit that’s very instinctual sometimes could be out of our control many times often, how do I diminish it? And what prayer should I pray ?

I'm a micro example, my pride got me nowhere. A macro example is the whole Johnny Depp thing.
How do you love a God Who demands humility? Why does God want this? I hate asking this question but is He insecure in Himself?
Every law God gives us has nothing to do with HIM but for our benefit.
Already he is God by himself and was not voted in power so he can never be insecure.
The harvest of pride and vain Glory leads to falling.....that's how it is and God doesn't want that to happen to us like what happened to Lucifer.
The only way you can be lifted up is when you are humble.How can you lift something that is already above?.
That's why Jesus was humble ,though he knew he was God he thought of it as robbery to be equal with God and that's why he was glorified.
No one can glorify himself that's the law of the Kingdom, God couldn't glorify himself that's why Jesus had to be glorified to glorify Him.
We humans glorify Jesus in partnership with holy spirit.
We humans get the glory as we subdue and dominate the earth.
So how do you even begin to get to the place where you can even be humble before God let alone want to be? Because I have prayed so many times for that humility but my life is so messed up and wounded from past hurts that I am struggling harder than ever to get close to God. My feelings and emotions have taken over my mind and heart and I am just at a place of complete helplessness, hopelessness and brokenness. My stress levels are so high that I am starting to have health issues as a result of it, not to mention severe anxiety and depression. I know God hasn't of course but yet I still feel deserted by Him, abandoned by Him and basically left alone to die not only spiritually but physically as well. I have oftentimes said that it seems the only reason why I was put here was to do whatever in the lives of others and still be destined for hell. I am a Christian, and I have been blessed with the gift of tongues but I am so numb that getting into the presence of God let alone allowing the Spirit to pray or even sing through me is virtually impossible. My story is so very much more in-depth and all but I don't want to drag this out. So basically how would someone like me ever get to experience the love and joy of Christ in an intimate relationship when you no longer go to church for various reasons, read the word because you don't understand it and pray fervently to the Father because you feel that He really doesn't hear you or cares to in the first place. Thank you so much Troy for reading and responding so quickly. It means so very much to me that you reached out to help me see through the fog that keeps standing right in front of me. I truly do feel deep down inside (fear basically) of what would happen to me if I really just let go of all the pain and heartache that I have carried for so long. Afraid of what that vulnerability in that moment of brokenness would bring.
It's kind of ironic bc in times past I have asked God in prayer to do whatever it took for Him to break me. To bring me to the end of myself so that I can find Him. To make me more and more like Jesus. Deep down I am unknowingly fighting against the very thing I asked Him to do for me in which in His love and mercy He has honored and has continued to honor for years now. I told Him I knew it was a scary prayer to pray but that I trusted Him and knew He would be gentle with me. I kind of laughed in that moment of prayer asking Him to please go easy on me. He has gone easy on me but with years of Him trying to break me and I continuing to fight is only wearing me out and about to literally make me lose my mind mentally at times it feels.
Your kind and thoughtful words have helped me to see (with the Lords help I know :-) )that God is only doing what I have asked Him to do. But between my own selfish pride and the enemies help (go figure) I have only continued to push God away when in fact as you mentioned is waiting with His arms wide open to take me in and just let me feel His heart. Oh how amazing would that be. But man it is so scary though to be that vulnerable, in fact it makes me feel like a weakling (not in a bad way) bc I have had to be so strong for so long just to keep myself from breaking down. Basically it all boils down to being betrayed by men of my past as well as people in my life even right now. It just makes it so hard to be able to fully let go and let God do His thing. Yes I am struggling with sever trust issues and it is spilling out over my attempted relationship with Jesus.
Hopefully I can have some free time in which I am alone to do just as you have recommended bc I know I will probably lash out, holler and maybe scream and of course cry. I pray something finally moves out of the way so that God can finally move in or at least get all the more closer. Thanks again so much!!!
Rather than displaying pride, we should reflect on what Phillippians 2 v 3 says "consider others superior to you"
Unlike Eve back in the garden of Eden who was persuaded by Satan to adopt a selfish desire to be like God.
This in turn, led to her husband Adam to adopt that same selfish desire in order to please her, with disastrous
consequences for all mankind. (Genesis 3 v 5 & 6) After turning both Adam and Eve away from God, the Devil
continued to tempt people to be selfish. He even tried that approach when tempting Jesus. (Math 4 v 1 - 9)
In our day, Satan has successfully misled most people, moving them to manifest selfishness in many ways.
This merits our attention because the prevailing selfish spirit of the world we live in, could rub off onto us.
(Ephesians 2 v 2) We cannot presently eliminate our imperfection and selfish tendencies, we must however,
be alert to the dangers involved, and fight such tendencies. (1 Corinthians 9 v 26 & 27)

Hi, I've watched a lot of your videos. And I love them... I need a little help though. My friend doesn't understand religion. I mean how do you explain God to someone that doesn't know anything, absolutely nothing about it. I don't want her to fall to the waste side. I don't want to just say okay you don't understand moving on. God wouldn't want me too do that... So how do I explain it to her? In a simple way... Where do I even begin on such a big topic?

Explain to her the miracle of birth. How you heart doesnt beat without gods help. How our brains would not function without gods help. Explain how god created us for his pleasure to love one another in the way he loves us. How your conscious is the holy spirit that tells us when we do wrong. How the holy spirit makes us feel when we do good things for others. How we should never concider ourselves to be perfact. How we should pray and lay our burdens at jesus feet and rely on him for strength. Pray for others when they are down and troubled. Tell her that god is always there for her. Tell her to read John 3:16 in the bible. Tell her to always honor her mother and father and her days on earth may be long Exodus 20:12. Tell her that god is our heavenly father and that he will punish us when we do wrong which is out of love to bring us back to the right way to live. I dont know you, but i pray that these words will strengthen you and comfort you as you shepherd your friend " the little lost sheep". God bless you.
Pride is downfall for many people, proverbs, pride goes before destruction. Attributes of pride is, self centered, self gratification and self absorbed. Toxic people have pride, Narcissist, cheaters, gossips, conceited people, druggies, drunkards, idol worship, occult, gold diggers, habitual liars. The heart is deceitful and wicked. John 12:35. Jesus said, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while Ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you; for he that walks in darkness knows not whither he goes. 12:36. While Ye have light, believe in the light , that Ye may be the children of light. Some people choose to listen to traditions of men, false doctrine, wanting a pastor or reverend to tailor God's word to their own desires. The habitual liar wont correct their pattern of lying, they hate discipline. The druggies need a fix, and lost touch with reality. The Narcissist won't accept accountability for their actions and words, they believe their own lies. Their children of the night. John 13:6. Then come He come to Peter; and Peter said unto him, Lord, does thou wash my feet? 13:8. Peter says, thou shalt never wash my feet, Jesus answered him, if I wash thee not, thou has no part of Me. Do you understand this ?? Some people are unclean spirtualty. Jesus told Peter it's my way or the highway. Were talking about pride versus humility. Some people refuse to give up their traditions of men, listening to false shepherds. Or those who refuse to conform to God's standard. Some people wont confess sins to God, and submit to God's will, obedience. Many people dont want their feet washed, to be obedient to Jesus and study sound doctrine and plant seeds for God. Do you think satan will wash your feet ??. Hes coming near future in his role as antichrist to jerusalem, 5 months period. Many people will fall for his lies and deception. Many will end up in hell. Peter learned hard lesson from the school master, that's Jesus. Many people don't want their feet washed. Do you see why many people go through wide gate to hell. Pride is their downfall.
The same we can call upon God by saying his name, is similar to how we can call on the enemy by accident.
Don’t give the enemy that chance. Please don’t say his real name.
Why you're asking for a donation? Did Christ and his disciples asks for donation when they preach and spread the word? What is your reward in heaven when you already received it on earth. Don't bargain the word of the LORD our God.
Hello Brother. Keep in mind that per our Messiah's words the old testament law has not been abolished per Matthew 5:17.
“Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
If you look up the Greek translation it does not mean "end" within this verse and the next verse explaining that it doesn't end until heaven and earth pass away clearly explain this. The law was not nailed to the cross, our sins were. On top of that Grace is conditional. If we know murdering someone is wrong there is no grace for it per Hebrews 10:26.
