Thanks, Heather. Coming soon!
@@HelenHiebert wonderful pulp is not beaten already ?
@@atntaltd I purchased abaca sheet pulp from Carriage House Paper. Yes, it is pre-beaten: processed from plant fiber into sheet pulp.
I’m so glad you make these videos! Although I’m sure I’ll never use more than a blender to make paper, I enjoy all the intricacies of the process. Thank you!
Thanks so much, Noreene. I agree - it is fun to see intricate details about things we're interested in, even if we don't do them!
Hi Helen, I just found these videos, today and have been binging on your informational shares. Keep 'em coming! -Kenn I Eat My Yard
Kenn, thanks for your enthusiasm. Happy papermaking!
Fascinating!
Thanks, Jennifer!
@@HelenHiebert your book is amazing , for armatures like myself
i herd ray once said you could beat the rag pulp to make it more gelatinous HIGH SHRINKAGE , my beater unable to do that can you elaborate on that , it would be real help
@@atntaltd beating is a real art, and it varies by beater. What kind of beater do you have? Some people have to beat the pulp for 3 hours and others 15 hours to get high shrinkage. The abaca becomes gelatinous the longer you beat it, but I have not found that to be the case with cotton.
@@HelenHiebert greatly appreciated , my beater plates are thin
@@HelenHiebert " beating is a real art " indeed , you should consider starting whole series on this , greatly appreciated , ( my plates are thin ) , i think i have to try banana fiber coz i dont have access to abaca
Hi ma'am can we supply you an abaca paper
