    A slice of light cutting through the darkness. Very cool except when the lights were turned off

    What is the track speed these days and maximum load? Bell Bay line use to be the highest 60 kph in the State since it was constructed in 1972 with bull dozers and not shovels, horse drawn scoops and wheelbarrows.
    Too bad you weren't around for cab rides between Launceston and Herrick, particularly Denison Gorge and between Tonganah and Ledgewood. Some sections the cows out run the train. You might like to view Jeff Jennings RUclips on the North East section through Denison Gorge.

      The track speed varies mostly around 50kph to 60kph around the system. Pity the north east line isn't still running. Would be nice to experience it. 👍😀

    Why did they turn off the lights?

      @driver667  Месяц назад

      When slowly crossing another train so as to not blind the other driver. 👍😄

    What is the signaling system on this line?

    • @driver667
      @driver667  Месяц назад

      It's an electronic track warrant system. Basically, authority to be in the track sections is issued via a computer in the cab from train control. 👍😄
