As a 23yo male I do wish I had seen this sooner, I found myself pausing throughout to really think and reflect. I would recommend this video to anyone.
The brutally honest videos are some of my favorites to listen to daily. I get so much value out of them and I think this is the best one so far. I’m 28 so getting to the end of my 20s but everything in this video is what I need to hear now and wish I had heard in my teens.
He is 100% right that as a man you are valued based on your utility, almost exclusively. Build your skills up just like a video game, acquire tools to augment your skills, gain more experience, and learn the rules of the game. And of course grind and min/max. There is nothing you are missing out on in your 20s as a man. Disposable relationships, worthless. Drunken nights? worthless. Movies and Tv. Worthless. Relax by sleeping, reading to improve your mind, and mediation. You don't need entertainment, and there is nothing toxic about saying so. It's just someone else monetizing your time instead of you earning or learning with that valuable time. Stop throwing it away because people tell you its okay, or because everyone else is doing it. Your hobbies are anyting that gives you a skill, anything that makes you money, anything that makes you smart or anything that makes you healthy. Your mental health isn't going to suffer for getting rid of your entertainment if you are in great shape, eating clean food, not having addicitions, and getting great sleep. All that men need for the mental health is to be able to like the man they see in the mirror, and to know that they see someone with value, and someone who has options and someone who they would respect.
I started implementing your advice from 100M Leads, Offers and your videos in my music business 4 weeks ago - now I have a dream client. When I deliver papers and packages at night, I listen to the audiobooks on repeat. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. ^^ ❤

Stating this video is for men will make it so only determined and driven females will click on it because they're not gunna be caught up in the politics of such a title and instead realize that growing up is different IN GENERAL for men and women and this advice is for people who are driven to become wealthy and independent, which is usually not the focus of females in the same way men would go about becoming this. So cheers to you for having that drive.

I’m 34 and didn’t really have much means on advice about any of these topics. I was quite foolish in my 20’s and ate so much shit with my time and money. Keep doing awesome work Alex, much love.
This is not brutally advice for young men in their 20s. It’s for everyone. I’m a woman in her 30s. One of the greatest 70 minutes video I watched so far
Lol same. I do think this particular video would be best utilized by a person in their 20s, though. I'm still gleaning the bits that help my situation, of course, but the biggest point about going so hard when you're young, have no money, nothing to lose and a plethora of time.... I wish I went harder in my youth and tried more and build a fuckload of skills. I did well, but like. If you were able to time travel and redo life (assuming you were not allowed to bring any knowledge of world events/history/stock prices lol) you would do so much more with the time and energy you took for granted back then. IMO, of course.
Most on point video on platform ive watched. Especially as an already successful entrepreneur, this man speaks truth every second. You are a gift to this world, Alex; thank YOU
Probably not the right audience for this but remember guys that your value in life does not come from business success, or money, or really anything to do with a job. And sometimes pouring all of your energy into that will not lead to the things in life that truly matter. Take care of yourselves out there.
God-tier advice, I'm in my 20s now and I really love the fact where Alex said that nobody respects the hero that did not go through hardship. The bigger the monster, the more epic the hero is, I love that. Thank you.
A full time job, a second job (side hustle), gym and on top of that man wants me to study! Nevermind a day, how do you have the time in a week for all that? Pick 3 of the 4 don't and your side hustle will HAVE to be very flexible. Best option is to not have a side hustle (second job), study and further your value while making money and staying healthy.
It's gonna take me 5 hours to get through this because I have to pause it every 10 seconds and write down what was said cause there is so much gold in here. Amazing video.
From a man in his early 20s, happy to see this video helping me, people like me and people not like me! P.S, what advice would y guys have for someone like me?
Working 12h a day didn't work for me. Working so much, just made me realize I was not efficient on what I used to do. I started to be way more successful when I discovered something I'm good at, and consequently the Working hours dropped. Careful guys
@@GettingGoodvery much so yes, if you have to suffer for 30 years before you can start to enjoy life then the basic system of how we live is flawed, rn the US government is trying to push retirement to 70 based on "the fact" that humans live longer the we did like 200 years ago, when thats blatantly false, humans don't live longer, it's just that more humans live to 70 then we use to, the entire worlds economy is collapsing, the average pay in the us is 55k a year, that's not enough to live

@@OidBuddy I graduated with an Economics degree during an economic downturn. Didn't go great out of the gate since no one was hiring. I was making ten bucks an hour working retail. What got me out of that was Temp to Perm through a Financial staffing agency. I test well, so I was able to demonstrate skills that they could sell to clients in Finance, Accounting etc. One of them converted to permanent, and 6 promotions later, I'm making $10K a month working from home (pretty good gig). What would have helped me starting out was if I'd had more job experience and a better network BEFORE I graduated from school.

its just so unbelievably important to set a direction as early as possible in your life and just keep walking until you know the goal. then walk straight towards that. if the terrain changes, change your approach. if the goal changes, change your direction. but you NEED to set your sights on SOMETHING or you'll walk in circles
My experience in my early 20’s was largely filled with making mistake after mistake because I was hungry for growth. Getting a sales job at a large dealership and developing sales skills has benefited me exponentially across the board, whether that’s negotiating salary, buying/selling houses, vehicles etc. There’s a goldmine of great information that was largely my process, albeit more concise. After a decade of hard work, the outcome side of the equation has really taken off. Get out there and conquer the day, gents. It pays off.
Best thing someone that loves me told me years ago. “Someone that truly loves you and cares about you will tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear. After that anytime o guy criticized by someone like that I’ve gotten into the habit of saying “thank you for caring enough about me to tell me what I need to hear.” On that note know the difference between that and someone maybe just manipulating you so it comes with some wisdom on your end too. But if it’s from Alex it comes from a place of love 100 percent of the time. I refuse to have any friends that don’t treat me like him. That means I have four friends and I’ve never felt more full. I don’t need an army of “friends” to feel whole. I have three true friends (one of them I’m marrying the other one I served in the army with jumping out of airplanes and Literally trusting him with my life which I always will the other is my brother and my father) I need NO-ONE ELSE!) if you don’t have anyone like him it’s time to be alone till they find you. And you will NOT find them by looking they come to you every time trust me. Now get to work.
Im 20 right now about to be 21. I finally started pushing towards a goal I want for myself after so long of not knowing what I wanted to do. Hopefully I can acheive it in these next couple of years. I plan on getting a culinary degree but I want to achieve by working 2 line cook jobs for a couple years so I can go to college
Amazing! This video is life-changing. It condenses so many essential points into one video, while other books try to convey the same thing in 300 pages. I'm now watching it for the second time (even though I'm struggling with understanding because of my English skills). Keep it up, Alex, you're awesome! Hard work and patience with the results - that's how change happens. Anything else is just nonsense!
Work 12 hours a day while getting a minimum wage to please your corporate overlords, only to stay in the same stagnant place in 10 years. Mourn over your lost opportunities to make friendships or find a partner. Live what remains of your miserable life. Real winner right there.
If you have no drive and goal then yeah maybe youll stay stagnent. But even if you work at a gas station you can work your way up to assistent manager and then general manager. Gas station managers make like somewhere between 45k to 70k depending on what store you manage. Some places like big cities people making 6 figures as a manager. My point is you can put in the time anywhere even a low level place like a gas station move up and up to make decent money. If you think youre worth more than that, go make more than that in a industry that you can tolerate more than others
@@Veritas231 100%. If you been working 10 years and still are at the bottom, something is wrong. There are so many opportunities to move up, especially in America.

I’ll be sure to learn from my mistakes and pick and choose what my vices are/be
Money is not worth slaving yourself away for 72 hours a week. This is such a jaded take in all honesty. Get a job you enjoy that allows you to live comfortably and seek a happy life. You're doing exactly what this capitalistic dystopian hellscape of a country wants you to do if you're willingly giving up your life to fill someone elses pockets to get a taste of wealth. Its not bad to work hard but you shouldn't view yourself as a tool that only has value if you can learn skills for making money, that sounds like the life of a robot.
@@stupidlyawsome8590 My whole point is that what you do doesn't matter as long as you can live comfortably. Seek contentment over wealth and you'll have a better life. Slaving away 70 hours a week for a chance to pointlessly be a millionaire in your 40s sounds stupid af.
I agree, but, if youre looking to make other people's lives better other than yourself, and a significant amount of wealth will do that, then i think it makes sense to do for a little while at least. @@Racc-Kun_YT

Id agree and disagree. It seems like you were just working but you had no passion in your job/career. Work the job that you love or like no?

He’s 100 percent right on needing a base in order to take risk, “making bets”. That’s something I never did in my 20s and 30s. Your income will always be capped until you’re able to do your own thing, I make 6 figures, but I’m still capped.
Do you mind giving a bit of advice on how you started out?
@@OidBuddy I graduated with an Economics degree during an economic downturn. Didn't go great out of the gate since no one was hiring. I was making ten bucks an hour working retail. What got me out of that was Temp to Perm through a Financial staffing agency. I test well, so I was able to demonstrate skills that they could sell to clients in Finance, Accounting etc. One of them converted to permanent, and 6 promotions later, I'm making $10K a month working from home (pretty good gig). What would have helped me starting out was if I'd had more job experience and a better network BEFORE I graduated from school.
Thank you, Alex. Love the dad talk. Wish I had a friend like bro.
Damn, that part about the lonely middle period between mediocrity and success is really facts! That hit home.
Sometimes the best advice is the hardest pill to swallow. I’m 21 and about to graduate and trying to get in Finance/Sales. Been really struggling with what I want to do. its just so unbelievably important to set a direction as early as possible in your life and just keep walking until you know the goal. then walk straight towards that. if the terrain changes, change your approach. if the goal changes, change your direction. but you NEED to set your sights on SOMETHING or you'll walk in circles

26 and hit the wall with myself. Thanks Alex.
Alex has that "keep going" "don't give up" & "it will be worth it" tone in this video. Love it.
I'm from India and the way you inspire and motivate is really worth the great appreciation. What good knowledge and information he gives is amazing.
Best thing someone that loves me told me years ago.
“Someone that truly loves you and cares about you will tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear.
After that anytime o guy criticized by someone like that I’ve gotten into the habit of saying “thank you for caring enough about me to tell me what I need to hear.”
On that note know the difference between that and someone maybe just manipulating you so it comes with some wisdom on your end too.
It's incredible how you put to words so many things that I do/say but can only conceptualize

If you’re stagnant then YOU suck.

What do you do in life that makes your point have any meaning?
@@stupidlyawsome8590 My whole point is that what you do doesn't matter as long as you can live comfortably. Seek contentment over wealth and you'll have a better life. Slaving away 70 hours a week for a chance to pointlessly be a millionaire in your 40s sounds stupid af.
I agree, but, if youre looking to make other people's lives better other than yourself, and a significant amount of wealth will do that, then i think it makes sense to do for a little while at least. @@Racc-Kun_YT
