This is a great app, and highly useful to me. It adds to my personal Mac productivity suite. Someday, when they get bored (ah ha ha ha) I hope to see an iPad version. I understand it is designed for the Mac, I can just imagine a sweet iPad OS version as well. No complaints, just imagining,

When you're doing a STAGGERED Rollout. When I go to check for updates and I'm not in the queue for the new version. I'm still on 1.5.8 it'd be cool if you gave an ETA of the new version vs telling us we are on the current version. It might keep people from bugging you incessantly for links to download new versions.

Can I just take individual graphic elements without the background, to import as a transparent png or gif into another software. I may create a transparent flow chart for example
Yes you can. This is easy to do in SketchWow. Click to highlight the graphic element(s) you want to export. Then, right-click --> Export Selection. Then, choose "Transparent PNG"

Thanks! Based on our research, supporting MP4 export requires MPEG license fees (for each user). We'd rather not pass those fees along to our customers. As a work around, if you Google "gif to mp4 converter", you'll find a bunch of free options. It takes an extra minute, but they work great.
Loving the software so far. And nice updates! Could you make it possible to mirror/flip the icons by "pulling"? When I do the usual pulling of the reference points across the icon itself it just keeps resizing, but not flipping. In some situations this could be a bit more convenient than the right click flip. This is awesome. I wonder if I can export to .SVG format? This helps with website embeds. Though .PNGs can also be used. But, I can do a lot more with .SVGs specially by integrating with tools like Vectary or Spline. That would be awesome. Also, I understand that I can use the different pages to make a power-point like slide show, where a new element shows up in the next page. But I was wondering If we can have different elements that are part of the **same** page, appear one after another. I thing that would help to make whiteboard like animations. I saw some short videos like that on the SketchWow youtube page , but not sure how they were made. Also, can these videos be longer? That would tremendously help with making educational or explainer contents, specially once that contain multiple steps. Thank you so much for the hard work and thoughtful features. Great questions! We have received requests for SVG export before. This is something that we are trying to figure out because we use alot of fonts, shapes and animations which creates some challenges for us to export to SVG. For the slide presentations you saw here on our YT, we simply built each slide step-by-step in SW, adding a new element or two to each new slide. Then, enter SW Presentation Mode and hit "record" on your fav screenrecorder to capture everything on video (and voice/narration) so you can edit it and upload here to YT. Hope this helps :-)
Currently, there are two ways to group objects. You can hold your Shift key and then mouse click to select multiple objects. Then, right-click --> Group. Thanks for the feedback. This is something we are researching. There are per seat/license royalties required when using MP4/MPEG technology with commercial (not free) software. We would rather not pass these extra licensing fees on to our customers. In the meantime, you can Google "free gif to mp4 converter" and convert your SketchWow gifs. It only takes a minute or so :-)

Woohoo! Thank you for joining SW. For the background, you can add any image and then lock it in place (using the right-click menu). This will secure the image and you can use it as a background. Hope this helps :-)
Png, jpg or animated gif files don't support embedded links. This prevents us from adding links to those images. Only PDFs do. This is something we are planning to support in the future
Sorry, we don't offer a trial at this time. With some apps you have to spend days evaluating it because they are so complex and bloated with features that you'll never use. SketchWow is the opposite. It would be great if we could group objects. It is clunky to have to select multiple things to duplicate or move around.
Currently, there are two ways to group objects. You can hold your Shift key and then mouse click to select multiple objects. Then, right-click --> Group. Can the link be clickable if we export it as pdf?
Yes! The links are clickable in the PDFs that you export from SketchWow
