Hi, Thank you for the guides they so useful. I've struggling with the connection between touchOSC and Finale. Which Send and recieve ports should I use?
So Finale can't receive OSC messages, so you just need to set up the OSC connections to go to your computer to send text. Try 12101 for send and 9000 for receive. Finale can only register text macros for hotkeys.
@@TimCorpus Thank you for the quick response. I try that solution first thing at the office. I have another wondering send and ports. If I want to send midi message to "keyboard maestro" and trig shortcuts, which ports should I use then? Have I get it right if I understand that you could connect TouchOSC through the bridge and send midi message to keyboard maestro? In the first version of TouchOSC I had to go through OSCulator to communicate with "Keyboard Maestro".
@@henriknordstrom481 yes that should work. The ports are set by you, not always specific to the program. I explain them a little more in the Connection Errors video and also in my Back to Basics video, but try the one I mentioned before.
Yes, it worked, the combination of apps is awesome. Huge thank you for your time and your expertise. I have used finale since 2.0 and almost can't use it without shortcuts and keyboard maestro. So back to deadlines. Thank you,@@TimCorpus again!!
Getting ideas like doing graphic notation by way of having TOSC transmit commands via LUA to open up and execute JW LUA scripts...... I may be a touch insane!!
@@faonfaon regarding MAC, try this new keystroke setup specific to Mac: github.com/F-l-i-x/TouchOSC/blob/main/examples/send_keystrokes/KeystrokeButton_MAC_test.tosc

F Key's ? Da Fug......why am I only learning this now?
I can see a lot of potential in this. Thanks.
I can't tell you how shocked I was when I figured this out. I had been using menu shortcuts for ages...like a FOOL! 😂😆

Yup, that opened a can o worms!
It works probably on a PC not a Mac. Shift + F2 + crescendo and nothing happens on a Mac. Thanks for your time
Sorry, trying to understand. Are you trying to add a crescendo hotkey with Shift + F2?
Yes I try to do the same thing that you do at the beginning of the video.
