This is so much more than a solo composition, it's an inspiration. Put on some headphones and get lost in the music. Thank you for what you do.

I love your articulation!!! It has a certain roundness to it that makes it feel so natural and effortless. Also especially on the lower notorious notes you keep the dynamics consistent and have an easy sound, but not easy to do!

Gorgeous! My oboe is currently getting serviced and it feels like forever. I just finished my concert for Le Api by Antonio Pasculli. My oboe needs a well deserved rest. Just watching your concert while I wait for my oboe back 😁

I can't say I have too much experience with them, but I have fallen in love with the double reed family. You make the oboe sing... it's honestly inspiring. You have such gorgeous tone as well as stunning articulation/sensitivity! Have you every experimented with playing the Cor anglais?

You are so gooooodddddd!!! Im a beginner oboust, i just started a year ago, but my oboe was my mother's old one, and has had to be serviced twice already since i started. My school band concert is in a month, and im really nervous. Im always told to 'stop quacking' it upsets me, and im just doing what im always told is how i should play, yet there are no people other than my mom that know how to play around me. I hope I'll be able to play like you someday!

My daughter started on my old oboe! It’s so rewarding as a parent to hear their kid play! Now she’s better than me since I stopped practicing! 😂
Keep up the practice, maybe try a slightly harder reed (you’ll need to break it in and it will be difficult for a while)! Also, switching brands can make a difference too if you’re buying them! Keep up the good work and watching videos like this one (amazing tone and technique!)! Eventually, one day, you’ll realize that you’re sounding better and better! It’s a process to get the tone and technique, but eventually it will come!
I know your concert is long over since you commented 6 months ago, but always go in with confidence! If you mess up, no big deal! Just a little hiccup for the night and keeping up the practice will help! 😂 (I just found these videos and can’t stop listening! Makes me want to pick up my oboe and practice again now that my daughter has her own oboe!)

Hi, I’m an oboe player and I play on a red reed but is there any specific reed that will help make the sound better? Or any that some may recommend?

If you haven't alreadt look for a local oboist and buy reed they make, if there isn't a professional oboist near you then I would order hand made reeds from a professional online.
