I struggled most my life whether saved or not because I could not stop sinning or "repent of my sin". Then I read my bible and discovered I was taught all wrong, repent of sin isnt even in bible. Just crazy how far these pastors have gone awry. I've walked into 4 random churches by my house: e-free, a silly mega church (dont get me started on this doctrine-less insanity), another e-free church and most recently across the street at a pentacostal church. Every time is same thing, I ask what must I do to be saved? Pastors didn't know me and tell me I have to repent of my sin and give my life to Jesus. Most recently was head pastor and youth pastor. I asked, what do you mean "repent of sin?" They explained it means to "turn from your sin and follow Jesus." I asked, "Turn from sin? Have you turned from sin?" Both Pastors nod and said, yes. I asked, "Really? All of them?" Youth Pastor nods and says, "Oh yep. Yes." I looked at him and said, "So, you haven't lusted aftet a woman in your heart?" Guys face turned super red. Now, I wasnt trying to embarrass him so I right away said, "I mean, I lusted probably a couple times already today, I don't know any good many who doesn't struggle with this." But he excused himself (likely to go clear his web browser). Then I asked head pastor, where is "repent of sin" to be saved in the bible? He said it's all over in scripture. I asked, can you just give me one verse? He said, sure. "1 john bible says to confess your sin and He is quick to forgive." That confused me and I explained first, that verse doesnt say repent of sin to be saved. Second, it's actually opposite of repent of sin, as you're claiming. Now he looked confused, so I explained. "You say to turn from sin, which if possible would mean you now dont have sin. 1 John says to confess your sin, meaning you have sin to confess, meaning you didnt "turn from sin". Get it?" I then explained "repent of sin" is not in the bible. That repent 100% means to have a change of mind, or heart if you prefer. Like when Jesus said to repent for kingdom is at hand, He was speaking to Jews who didn't believe He was messiah and He said "repent", change your mind from unbelief to belief. No work involved. And God himself repents in Old testament. "Repent of sin" is actually antithetical and opposed to salvation by grace alone through faith alone. Further, sin is transgressing the law. Since scripture is clear we are born in sin, of the first adam, then to repent not only does that mean following the whole law, which entails sacrifices at temple and obviously impossible, you would also have to be born a virgin to turn from sin since curse is passed through man's seed. Hence why Jesus' virgin birth is important theological doctrine since He alone is perfect. He then seemed stumped and asked "are you saying all you have to do is believe and your aaved and can live a life of sin?" I said the gospel is in many places but for a few verses: 1 cor 15:1-4, romans 10:9-10 and john 3:16. Bible says once you believe you're sealed with Holy Spirit which Paul states is our "guarantee" of our inheritance. The term in the greek is one of the most emphatic solid words in whole bible. Paul states salvation is a free GIFT of God, in eph 2:8-9. If you could be saved and lose salvation then it was never a gift and never a guarantee in the first place. The bible lied and are hope is in jeopardy. Further, if one person believed even once and could lose their salvation under any hypothetical, then nobody in all human history is ever saved. For we all sin, constantly. We don't even know how many sins we commit on a daily basis. Lastly, Peter states there are those who walk so far away from faith that they forgot they were cleansed in the first place. In otherwords, there will be people in heaven who will be surprised they are there for they believed once and were "carnal christians" as Paul describes them. No distinction between them and the world. Now, will they live a life of joy serving and growing in the Lord? No. They will wrestle and struggle and lose rewards in heaven, but they are saved." Lastly, read Galatians. Whole book is about this. Galatians 3:3 is about Christians who say once you're saved now you have to go be a good person. He says, nope. We are to walk by spirit which is given to us by grace through faith alone the moment we believe. Therefore, how do we walk by Spirit? We grow in faith in Jesus! Paul says in Romans, faith comes by hearing and hearing by (reading) the word of God. What work is needed to show yourself approved to an almoghty perfect God? What work in the flesh can earn Grace if by definition Grace is unmerited or undeserved? John 6 Jesus was asked this and He said the work of God is this: to believe in the one in whom He sent."

“Whoever says, 'You fool,' shall be guilty enough to go into fiery hell” Matt 5-22
We sin in thought, word or deed every day. I don’t think people realize what sin ACTUALLY IS. We are filthy before a Perfect, Holy God. We need Christs Righteousness imputed on our behalf or we stand 0 chance. All praise and glory to the Lamb of God for what He did and only what he did!

I tell people that to be eternally saved, believe you have eternal life by the grace of Jesus Christ, not by your own righteousness, which is of the law. Then I quote verses like John 3:16, 1 John 5:10-13, Romans 3:19-28, Philippians 3:9, John 5:24, Hebrews 10:10-14.

Belief in "stuff about Jesus" (His attributes/works He performed) is Preparatory - not Necessary - as the Object one must believe in order to be born again with Everlasting Life (John 3:16) .
"He who believes in Me has Everlasting Life" (John 6:47) .
"...whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die (spiritually)" (John 11:26) .
Belief in Jesus For His doubtless Guarantee alone regenerates .
How anyone comes to that Center of the Dartboard can differ in terms of the Amount of information (His attributes/works He performed) it takes to lead To the Promise . Not a One Size Fits All Methodology .

I think 2 Thess 2:10-14, 2 Thess 1:8-10, 2 Cor 4:3-4, and 1 Cor 1:18 disagree with you. They issue dogmatic and unbending statements that those who don't believe the gospel are unsaved, while those that are saved believe the gospel and are classified as believers for doing so.
Whereas in the crossless view, there are saved people who don't believe the D&R of Christ and unsaved people who do believe it.
Mark 16:13-16, the context of belief in v.16 is the gospel from v.15 of a risen Christ. Also, Gal 1 defines being separated from the gospel as being separated from God himself. The same unbelief that makes you apostatize is the same that makes you born again. I can easily define the gospel in each of these passages with evidence as the D & R of Christ for the forgiveness of sin if you don't believe me.

Hey Tim, it is good to see you coming around, you actually believe John 11:26, that's good. So, are you now a "WORK SALVATIONIST? for you have to " LIVE AND BELIEVE", no longer just "BELIEVE". So, now you don't believe John 3:16? He left out "LIVE" or do you think that John 3:21 explains John 3:16? " He who does what is true comes to the light..." and that the believer in John 3:16 is the one who has been born of the "WATER AND THE SPIRIT", John 3:5? And in John 6:27 it says, " LABOR FOR THE FOOD WHICH ENDURES TO ETERNAL LIFE", is that how you "believe in him"?
And John 8:12 Jesus said, " I am the light of the world, he who follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life", and don't forget what Paul said in Romans 2:6 " For he will render to every man according to his works, to those who by patience in well-doing seek the glory and honor and immortality, he will GIVE ETERNAL LIFE, BUT THOSE WHO DO NOT OBEY THE TRUTH, BUT OBEY WICKEDNESS, there will be wrath and fury".
This is the type of faith that gives eternal life, I am glad you are changing your view......maybe in time your will be a WORK SALVATIONIST....

However, to believe in Christ you are required to believe he died for our sins and rose from the dead. To deny that is to deny life is found in him. You can be saved without ever hearing the explicit words "everlasting life" as long as you believe he died for all of your sins and rose from the dead, Obtaining everlasting life is a consequence of believing that, just like receiving the Holy Ghost.
2 Thess 2:10-14, 2 Thess 1:8-10, 2 Cor 4:3-4, and 1 Cor 1:18 disagree with you. They issue dogmatic and unbending statements that those who don't believe the gospel are unsaved, while those that are saved believe the gospel and are classified as believers for doing so.
Whereas in the crossless view, there are possibly saved people who don't believe the D&R of Christ and unsaved people who do believe it.
Also the D&R are a promise, Acts 13 makes that clear, it is a promise God has already fulfilled. Believing that promise, what he did for you on the cross, is believing in him. It is trusting solely what he did for you instead of your own atoning for your sins.

Focused Free Grace Versus Flexible Free Grace: Can Two Walk Together? - Mike Lii
      ruclips.net/video/qcvBwrl63gg/видео.html
In the plenary session #8 of the 2023 Grace Evangelical Society National Conference, Mike Lii describes two different systems of Free Grace Theology. The differences between these two systems of Free Grace Theology arise from the answers to the following questions:
      1. Is eternal life (eternal security) an essential element of the saving message of Jesus?
      2. When one is believing in Jesus in the salvific sense, will one necessarily have assurance that one has eternal life?

@@GESvids I've seen this and other vids before, it is a lot of conjecture and little evidence from scripture.
I never see GES engage with opposing viewpoints in formal debates to PROVE their position under scrutiny,
Can you engage those scriptures and points I made?

@@GESvidsso per GES, JWs, Mormons and SDAs are saved because they believe in Jesus for eternal life. Anything else they believe (Jesus being Satan's brother, or Jesus being a created being) is secondary and not necessary for salvation.
