Well done - but you seem to have forgotten that Tim Henson and Scott Le Page did the original guitars for 'Brand New Day' ... they already put their own unique spin on it, they were happy with what they did, BABYMETAL were happy with what they did - this is how the song goes, why would they change it?😝
True true lol its just how often do we get them together to play this song and we've all heard it 10000000's of times this may be a one time thing and I just think personally seeing more of them and maybe putting another min on for them to enhance and add to it would have been nice and also extra unique to those that where there.
@@NeonReaperReacts This was the first time they played it live together, it was already unique for the people who were there.
I would say they didn't need to change it up and make it something it wasn't already, I would think most people were more than happy to hear it as it was and, for the first time ever, to hear Tim and Scott playing what they wrote.
Also, as in the comments below, how much extra work would it have needed to add to or change BABYMETAL's choreo and to keep it relevant and meaningful for an extra minute of guitars.

The problem with having Tim and Scott just go ham and solo for like 2 minutes is that babymetal would need come up with a choreo for that aswell. Since them just standing around while they solo would be kind of awkvard. And coming up with new choreo for only a one performance would be quite a lot of work. And since this was literally first time Tim and Scott performed this song live I think even them just wanted to keep it clean and simple.

ah yes choreo something so important yet so easy to overlook, thats a great point tbh although even if the girls just smiled waved and interacted with the crowd for that min or two im sure would have been fine, its a tough choice though with it being the first time live to keep it simple and true or have some fun with it....either way tis a banger!

I don't get the disappointment at all. I could understand if someone wasn't satisfied with Tim and Scott's presence on Brand New Day to begin with, then they'd want that "fixed" in the live performance. Longer solos? Rewriting other parts? I don't know. Could ruin the pacing and/or significantly change the vibe of the song.
But if you love the song as is, I don't know why you wouldn't want the first performance of it live with them, filmed for the official live music video, to be as faithfully adapted from studio to live concert performance as humanly possible. Now we have a clean beautiful live version of the original Brand New Day with Tim and Scott. Maybe they can remix it later if they get an opportunity. I would hate to have missed out on this performance of the original song if no such opportunity arises in the future.
I like Polyphia. I just don't feel the need to change Brand New Day, especially in their first (possibly only) live performance of it together and for the official live music video.
Plus, we have a Polyphia song featuring Babymetal to look forward to in the next Polyphia album. I expect we'll get all the intricate guitar work that some people wanted in Brand New Day in that song.

Your criticism is whack. It's the collab as they wrote it. It's about moving forward after the death of guitarist Mikio Fujioka. Have some respect for the dead.
How did you go from me wishing to see Tim's and Scott parts extended to disrespecting Mikio? I don't know how you even put them two together lol I understand the significance of the song but wanting the writers of the song it self to have unique or extended parts in a live performance to shitting all over Mikio is a step to far and using Mikio's name in such a way is disrespectful to him and his legacy. Regardless of the song the man was a guitarist creativity was his thing he encouraged it, using his name in your argument for clout on a BM video belittles his personality and his name, I think it is you who should show more respect to Mikio san.
Pretty sure this song has literally nothing to do with Mikio passing away. Starlight (or maybe the whole trilogy of light) is the song that people speculate is dedicated to Mikio not this one. So you are the only whack one here:D
