These longer forum videos are what RUclips is all about! Especially when it comes to game collection videos, and this one was FANTASTIC. Outside of a handful of games, I still feel like the PS3 (and the 360 in particular) are super affordable to collect for and such an enjoyable library to explore. Still a joy to find a game here or there when out and about for cheap.
I really wish I would have capitalized on the White Knight Chronicles hype as well. I lived vicariously through Pete via AGG for that one. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on FF XIII-2 eventually, one I need to replay soon. So good!
Magus is the GOAT of the PS3. No game compares and once humanity accepts that fact we'll be better off because of it. Megamind is a close second though!
Magus is truly a game for Games of Taste for sure. I also got a little fill of WKC from AGG but man I bet it would have been fun if I had the time or interest back then
Transformers series, Borderlands series, Dead to rights, Max Payne 3, Dragon ball Series, Legend of Heroes Trials of cold steel 1 and 2, Majin and the Forsaken, One piece unlimited world, Watchmen, Ragnarok odyssey Ace, Alice madness returns, Jericho, The Darkness, Deus Ex, Eye of judgment, Lost Dimension, Borne Conspiracy, Sacred 2 and 3 And Xcom are a few titles to check out that I don't believe you mentioned.

@@Blinkoom mainly the killzone and resistance series. Also ratchet and clank loved the ps4 game and rift apart.
Great collection here. Heavy Rain is my second most favourite game on the ps3. # 1 Is (The Last Of Us 1and 2). I played Heavy Rain through about 3 times until I got the best ending. Such an amazing game done by quantic dream.
I was sooo hyped for that game when it came out and I still look back on it with a lot of fondness. Great choices for your top games there!

I think I just read Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late is coming to Switch. Not a big fighting game guy but noticed I had it in my digital library from ps plus and had some fun with it last week.
Tears to Tiara 2 is really good if you are into SRPGs. Fair warning though, there are a LOT of long visual novel sections in it.

Great video first of all I loved every second of this video so thank you very much I wish it was twice as long! Great collection I agree you have a lot of great PS3 games I do have a few recommendation but more on that later.
My wishlist grew ten fold due to this video and a few highlights is Puss and boots as soon as you started describing it I immediately wanted to buy it. It sounds so interesting.
I agree about Midway Arcade Origins, also what I enjoy about these compilation is they have very fun platinum trophies. Specifically the Midway Arcade Origin game is so fun to get the platinum for you need to do little trophies for each game high score challenges and it is super addictive. I can't recommend it enough. The PlayStation all stars game you can't get the platinum trophy sadly since the servers are shutdown however a lot of the trophies require you to beat the single player with each character and I know there is a bingo square somewhere that has this as a challenge :).
The club sounds so interesting immediately added that to my Wishlist!
Here are my recommendation with small notes for each game.
Child of Eden - You might already have this one 360 but I remember reading/looking to that the PS3 supports the move control and apparently it works really good.
Driver: San Francisco - Very unique racer that allows you to jump from car to car, check some gameplay it looks pretty cool!
Haze - You probably already know about this game but this is sadly Free Radical Design last game. Very of the era and apparently not great?
Red Faction: Guerrilla - This is such a great game the story is very very basic but it's just fun to break things with the hammer, mindless fun!
Ridge Racer 7 - This is one of John Linneman favorite racers of all time, that's all it took for me to get it.
Split/Second - The people that played this game love this racer, I haven't played it yet but it does look great.
Soulcalibur IV / Soulcalibur V - Can't go wrong with any SoulCalibur game.
SSX - I feel like this is game is often forgotten and it's actually not bad!

I definitely have Child of Eden on 360, I love that game! Driver is a cool recommendation, not one I've ever really looked into. Some of those others would be good to keep an eye out for, they're pretty common games that I haven't given much attention to. Looks like I have some work to do!

Painkiller is still pricey if you have the first print. The first print was the only one that came with a manual. The reprint doesn’t have one.

remember buying white knight chronicles 1 and 2 then realizing chronicles 2 comes the entire first game included on the disc :)
I kinda got into collecting for the PS3 this year, but what's funny about the PS3 is that the best games are: 1) cheap and 2) available in more modern systems.
Since i'm not one to buy a worse version of the same game, i don't buy stuff i already have like Uncharted (have the ps4 version) or Skyrim, which would lead me to go look for some hidden gems... It's tough, to say the least. Specially with the type of games i really like being turn-based combat JRPGs, there aren't that many good titles on PS3.
My most recent purchases were Star Ocean Last Hope (not turn-based, but i liked Second Story R) and the combat is so annoying, then i go to Enchanted Arms and the game just feels like the most generic JRPG ever made.
I haven't played Enchanted Arms yet but sorry you weren't feeling it! I do agree that a lot of PS3 stuff is brought forward and I'm generally the same as you. I buy the best version of a game I can physically. Most of my PS3 stuff that you see that does have a PS4/PS5 port is just because I bought it when it first came out 15 years ago. Still though, it's nice more people can play great games like Ni no Kuni on modern systems so a win in the end
@@Blinkoom I'm sorry if it came across as a shot at you or your collection, i bought my PS3 in 2010 and had my time with it, but i was a kid back then and could only afford so much. I have like Dark Souls, Fallout NV, Metal Gear Anthology etc from back in the day, i think the only reason i don't have some of those games that now have ports is because i got a PC by 2013 and stopped caring about consoles... until the pandemic.
Plus, i also had a jailbroken 360 back in the day and most of the singleplayer stuff i played there, since i was a broke kid i only wanted to spend money on games i could play online on the PS3. Your collection is awesome, tho.

That witch game 5 minutes in isn't sealed. That's a reseal. I can tell watching the video.
It's got a weird seal compared to the usual Y-fold, but I bought it from NIS directly. It's because the soundtrack is included and is inside the shrink
@@Blinkoom yeah that makes since it was a while back square enix ran a special new sealed final fantasy PS1 GH and it's like the seal you have and I bought direct from them. I've had 2 bad cases of buying on eBay "new" and they were in fact reseals
@@chlamygamine2190 Yeah you do have to be really careful with seals from ebay or in person stores, there are sadly a bunch of fakes out there
@@Blinkoom yeah I wouldn't call it a scam if anything wishful thinking it's an honest mistake and I got partial refund so it was fair and being it wasn't "sealed" I opened it and the disc was in the case so no harm no foul. However, and I'm not a reseller, if I do resell that FF game down the road it's probably going to be problematic if I list it as brand new/sealed.

I actually do have Dark Souls! I just have the big metal tin version that came with a slipcover and artbook, so it's over on my shelf with the "big box" stuff that I was too lazy to pull out :(

also you dont need the backwards compatible ps3 also it is easy stop using the excuse that it takes too long too jail break i watch like 3 videos too the point where i have too know what too do . not that hard my 13 year old nephew jail broken his ps4 . also why did you buy yakuza 3 and 4 on ps3 when they got remakes that play better on the ps4 the camera control got fixed on the remakes . on the ps4 dont play the ps3 ports only for the zombie one off your witch and the hunter night is a reseal not a yfold . also it is remake for witch hunter night .half of those series on ps3 got remakes dang .
