This is great, just bought the game and only dipped my toes in. Don't mind to have the story spoiled a bit... Was already glad I watched the first video so I wasn't this lost in the game

Yay! Pacific Drive! I'm glad to see you playing again!
I picked this game up largely because it's set in the PNW (my stomping grounds) but I wasn't sure I'd get into the gameplay. Started playing and got completely hooked. I think the story as told by the VA, and the VA direction (I think they come off as too cartoonish for the setting), could have been handled better but overall it's very appealing.

Very happy to see you playing Pacific Drive, because I like your take on it, and because it gives me a little bit more time to catch up on my loper signal void run so that I can follow "Road to 500" without fear of spoiler!
And now for some backseat driving (ha!): why destroy steel panel/doors and summer tires and not straight use them to upgrade your car without having to craft? I agree that there is not a lot of threats in the beginning, but a free headstart is still a good thing to grab.

You can use the crowbar on chain locks instead of your impact hammer to make it last longer just fyi, and a thrown flare will destroy tourists

70 hours into this Gem . its like a fresh Taste of an old Genre
yeah does seem fun. contemplating if I want it, or if having watched this first hour I"m already mostly sated on the coregameloop, etc. but...I will watch the rest of your run, I would love to see more of the car getting pimped out as it were! also, I think the front bumper is gonna take a lot of beating! all those trees you knock over! [should be a lumberjack achievement. knock over 500 trees with your car.]
Have you ever played Stranded Deep? I think that would be a great survival game if you haven’t played it.
Its basically "The Long Light".. at least it feels that way for me.. and its IMO the most frightening, ocean based survival game (even moreso than Subnautica) and uses very similar survival mechanics to TLD.. if only it was longer and more "finished"...

Sometimes this month, I imagine. I haven't had much time to record lately and have to decide what to prioritize. Recording a custom challenge atm
been playing this for about ten hours...still not convinced it´s good...lacks a lot of explanation as the ingame stuff isn´t explaining very much at all...
I have no clue what this is all about, but perhaps that is intended?
I´m just driving around collecting stuff on my way to some mission target. Did a few roam-arounds, but I hate there is a time limit on most maps which prevents me from really exploring...not that there is much, since proc-gen maps...
plus you can softlock yourself very easy, say if the car is being pulled by one of those - I don´t even know what they are called - flying heaps of junk with a magnet into a wall and the driver door is blocked...not so cool if you´ve spent 30 minutes collecting stuff since there´s no saving on maps
