Attacking birds, possible Bigfoot sighting and storms at night. Adventurous day 1 with a little excitement! I'll have to watch day 2 to see if you survived the night! 😜
Thanks for watching! And yeah, that bird scared the crap out of me, almost as much as Bigfoot! (Hadn't considered that until now, thanks! lol!) Thanks, again... Definitely looking forward to your Isle Royale adventure!
Ahh shoot! You did it! Can't wait to see your whole experience here! I really want to come back to this place, it's such a great trail. I see you did it in 4 days too, that's a tough one, hard to not have a couple LONG days.
About that noise you heard, I had a very similar experience my first night too! Around the same spot. A also had a million mini heart attacks every time a quail/ partridge flew out from the underbrush as I passed by!
@@jeremysart Yeah, it was super last minute... In fact, I almost reached out to you about doing it, but I think you were in Alaska. And thanks for making me feel like I'm not crazy! lol!
Oh wow, Mark! Looks like this is gonna make for a great hike. I believe that Great-tailed Grackle wanted to tear you up. lol. She must have babies in that area.
Thanks for watching! And thank you for identifying the bird. She followed me for over 1/2 mile doing that and all I could think was “Is this an omen??” I had an awesome and awful time hiking this trail! It’s a hidden gem in this area and very untouched. Super cool. Thanks again!!
that grunting animal was a bit spooky … could have been a bear of course but deer will grunt as well along with raccoons if you walk up on them and they feel threatened… talk about threatening what about that bird mobbing you …. crazy 🤪… you need to get a Doctor Dolittle hat 🎩 just to let em know you’re friendly 😂 … great video as always looking forward to the rest of them … atb Dave Mc
Thanks for watching, Dave... I agree it could have been a deer or elk, but bear makes a better story! lol! Whatever it was, it spooked me good! And the mobbing bird, lol, fully caught me off guard! Thanks again for watching!
@@tridudyonthetrail …. definitely a bear then … when i’m hiking here i take bear spray… not for bears but for mountain lions … im really spooked by them buggers snd they have plenty in the mountains around here … they are way more unpredictable than bears with a few folk getting attacked every year … usually with a horrifying ending !! … just not worth the risk for a few extra ounces on your backpack … atb Dave Mc
@@everyoneknowsadave3580 lol! Definitely a bear! I usually take it but, I honestly totally forgot because it was kind of a last minute… my family gave me a very hard time about that! lol! But yes mountain lions are no joke. One day, when we hike together, I’ll tell you about my “encounter”… in Michigan, and no one believes me! Anyway, you’re right to be spooked by them! Be safe, my friend!!
@@tridudyonthetrail … oh if you saw a Michigan Puma I definitely believe you … my wife’s cousins husband (Alan ) was up close and personal to one when he was Turkey hunting in Atlanta (Rush Lake) Michigan…. He was calling in turkeys when he heard movement from the other side of the tree he was on… thinking it was a Turkey he peered around and was staring in the face of a cougar !!! … he shot in the air and it ran off … another friend of mine found a deer fawn up a tree dead in his back yard …. He lives in Walled lake! 😳 So yeh they are in Michigan for sure…..
@@everyoneknowsadave3580 Whoa!! Those are some pretty wild sightings! Every so often I get that feeling something’s watching me and it’s time to keep the head on a swivel. 😬😬
Bird attack, possibly bear on trail😳… this is turning out to be an adventure already. In all seriousness I wonder if that was a goshawk as they are very territorial when they have a nest.
Thanks for watching!! I hadn’t thought about a goshawk! You might have nailed that! But yeah, I wasn’t really sure what I was getting into!! lol!! Thanks, again!
Thanks for watching! I watched that video and totally enjoyed it! In fact, I think I passed the site you camped at by the Pigeon River. Appreciate you. Sharing your adventures! And thanks again for watching!
Such a beautiful film, gorgeous editing! 👏
Thanks for watching!! Very beautiful country!
