We have 100 Mbps internet but the modem is in the hall. My room is at the back so there is no internet access. We got Xiaomi's Wi-Fi booster too. I have internet in my room but I can only get 10-15 Mbps. There are many ping problems in games, especially in Valorant. This Wi-Fi booster is deploying 2.4GHz. I wonder if I would benefit from buying this 5GHz TP-Link RE305?
Agreed. Basic info. He compares some other shit extender and tells us the speeds but doesn't actually tell us what his Internet speed is. Dumb guy. Why are these RUclips reviews so shite? I might just go ahead and buy the extender and do a proper review.
Hi thanks for watching. At the time of filming I only needed it for wifi. I tested the Ethernet speed and I was hovering around 60mbs DL. This is not bad, considering my speed at the router is around 75mbs. This is a great product for a wifi extender, if you need something primarily for ethernet, I highly recommend a power line adapter (better and cheaper) :)
Hi, thanks for the video and hope you reply me. I want to know if i can use rj45 cat 6 cable 100 meter to extend from main router. Is that working good?
my question is can you turn it off ? like get it out of the contact and then when you plug it in lets say i get it out at the night go to sleep , and when i wake up i put it back in will i have to set it up again or should it automatically connect with the router and boost the singnal?
Does it come with instructions that tell me exactly what to do to make it easy? Hate how Ubiquity, Western Digital, and others don't bother coming with a darn manual on how to set it up.
Mines not working. I have the same extended router and it will not connect to my Spectrum router. I've pushed the wps on my specturm router, then the wps on the extender router, the blue light flashes but ends there. :(
Great review helped me out alot!
Wish to see you grow rapidly!
Thanks so much. I appreciate the comment :)
im gonna go ahead and give this video a thumbs up
Thanks Hot Dogg!!!
I like it. I was wondering if i can hardwire direct from my router to my basement. thanks
how fast were the speeds using the ethernet?
Thank you. Very clear video compared to the other I watched before.
Thanks for the comment Danny! Cheers.
Everyday DIY do you know if the extender will work on a ps4 wirelessly?
@@thegeddy2247 I have no idea. My son uses PS4 but with a wired connection.
@@thegeddy2247 It should. It works for my Roku, Apple TV, and wifi switches.
@@thegeddy2247 it works?
I have the same one. But couldn't seem to connect it with the tether app. Maybe it's not tether supported.

nice review keep it up 👍🏾
Is there a way to set this up without hitting the WPS button on the router? I don't have access to the router
I believe there is (saw it on their website) but the WPS for me was the easiest.
how about ethernet performance?
Its not bad, similar to the Wifi. If you want good ethernet, I woudl invest in a powerline adapter.
Can you rename SSID to match existing so don’t have to change existing devices?
What speeds do u get from the ethernet cable from the extender

@@e.e121 Thanks for watching. Near the end of the video you will see the speed test.

Great question. It will boot back up again, and you dont have to reconfigure anything.
@@everydaydiy5393 i tryed it right before i did this comment xd

Yes it did. I was shocked.
Can this be used as client mode?
Wireless connection on Router to extender, then wired from extender to tv box.
Thanks!
Mine is so bad can u help
The film images are really too often out of focus, which is very disturbing.
Try filming with a tripod
