I saved every video of growing pepper plants in small containers that you’ve demonstrated. I am so thankful of the videos that you posted sharing to viewers like me because I learned so much from you. But, what I didn’t see is pepper plants planted in potting soil. I’ve seen pepper plants sold in markets that are small grown in 2 inch pots with the pepper plants already flowering and fruiting. Reason I ask this, because they are so cute and very spacious to grow indoors. But, thank you so much again for your videos because you took me step by step how to grow them small and compact.

Khang I'm so glad I stumbled on your mini kratky videos. You inspired me to try it and now I have peppers all year long. Im even growing your ksls which I got seeds from Jimmy pickles . Can't wait to try it

Thanks for all the great information on kratky setups! I started growing peppers this year and I'm primarily using the mini kratky so I can grow as many different varieties to find out what I like. Are there any varieties that you grew in the mini kratky that were problematic getting to fruit? I've heard the superhots can be kind of finnicky, so Im wondering if I'll need to do anything special for the ones Im growing.

can u try growing a regular sized 70 cm pepper plant in those tiny cups, or does size of cup restrict the growth

hi brother khang, do you check ppfd or lux your plant gets from the grow lights you have?

hi khang! Do you mean indoor plants are much faster to produce than outdoors?

Hey khang, have you seen the method the channel "Hoocho" used for his setups? Basically a piece of flooring to hold the plant in. Could benefit these small bottle grow ops when it comes to stability and algae growth

What is that aero garden light you’re using

Why ten hours a day on the grow light? I’ve always heard 16 on 8 off. Should I change that? I’ve got one starting to fruit now .

Hey Kang, long time viewer. I'm about to start doing kratky tomatoes (Roma) in a large blue barrel. Any tips for really large grows like that ?

    • @rebel4466

Anchoring is important. They'll get top heavy in general, but also the branches need support. There is a large barrel pepper grow project here on RUclips that might have some good ideas for you. Other than that, it's easy to scale up. But think of a way to do a water change, so no nutrient builds up over time. I personally like DWC and would probably put an air stone in, but that's not needed. The channel "vaal capsaicin" from south Africa has a bucket system going that addresses some issues you might have. Also some of the most beautiful pepper plants in hydroponics. Both of my recommendations are budget oriented growers, so it's not too hard to copy the idea for your wallet. There's also Hoocho from down under for small to mid range, easy hydroponics. Usually not a guy to shout others out, but we growers are one community I think. Weed growers also have great ideas when it comes to functional hydro systems, but I'm not following one closely.

I did this. I don't reccomend it. Get a dwarf determinate variety, instead. I like Fred's Tye Dye, Green emerald Giant and Tazmanian Chocolate but do a search and you will find other types. You have to change the tomato's water more diligantly than with peppers because they are very sensetive to pH changes. The main issue is calcium lockout. Romas have stricter calcium requirements than some other types of tomatoes and never stop growing (this will be a problem bc it will be too hard to dump ur old nutrients when it is time to replace)

You don’t have to worry about root bound water pumps this way!

I would love to see you use the SCROG (Screen Of Green) technique to train the plants to grow horizontally and eliminate the pruning step, and increase yield. Also, there is a
youtube video of a guy giving a seedling 1270 ppm of c02 and it grew insanely fast, it would be cool to see a c02 bag above a group of them. Imagine shaving off a month or more of growing time.

I put another twenty eight plants in the ground. It's late, but they'll be fine.
