Learn the Brother Luminaire xp2. Today's embroidery experiment and embroidery lesson is how to set up and stitch couching designs that are built into the brother Luminaire xp2. For this lesson, I am using Caron Variegated thread with a weight of 3, which is a bit thinner than the recommended weight of 4. You need the long yarn guide marked EC (embroidery couching), the couching foot, yarn, and the teeny tiny special tool for threading the yarn through the couching embroidery foot. Learn a few embroidery couching tips and tricks along the way.

Hi Sue, I know it may waste yarn but you could cut some of the green off closer to where your colors start and that would be pretty. Nice couching!
Finally decided to buy XP2. First price online was about 4K...now $18K. Marketing snafu...maybe.This will increae sales of a lot of other brands!
Now I’ll need to see if my machine does this, had the machine for over a year you would think I would have explored the machine further 🤦🏼♀️
Can this be done on a PE770?
havent tried this yet, thanks. can you get this yarn any store? or is it a special item. also did you have to turn off the thread cutter setting, or is it automated off when doing the couching?
It’s just regular ol yarn that I got from michaels. The weight is 3, but i think you can go as big as 4. No, i didn’t turn the cutters off or make any changes, it will trim the thread as usual.
