The movie was very bad in comparison to the original Swedish movies, despite an A-lister such as Craig being involved. Fortunately there are at least three Swedish movies about the Millennium trilogy that are gems.
Yeah, but I kinda wish Daniel tried to speak with a swedish accent. I found his regular British accent for a swedish character so distracting. Rooney did do a little accent though, and I enjoyed it.
@@shivakumar499 Talking about the 🍾 almost rolling off the fridge and him catching it. I don’t think that was planned, but his natural reaction of making sure it doesn’t fall and break, then continuing on with his blocking went with the flow of the shot still. Could be mistaken as apart of the scene….. Which it is.
The majority of viewers cannot pick up on finchers subtle details. Every time Martin talks to Mikael, Mikael starts to suspect Martin. At the dinner table when Martin says "this must have a big part in your book" Mikael looks at him like "you seem off as a person" then this scene Martin starts to aplogize and hangs around his home he looks at him like "I don't buy it anymore, you're top suspect"
No, these are obvious in hindsight to others as they are to you. But you can't go wrong by patting yourself on the back for the obvious in RUclips comments
Plenty of disturbing scenes in David Fincher's bleak but stylish version of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo - the anal rape scene and Lisbeth's revenge in particular - but just as shocking is the gruesome death of that silver tabby cat that had befriended Mikael (Daniel Craig) from the moment it appeared unannounced outside his guest home lodgings on the family's estate. That cat was so warm and friendly, giving Mikael such good company, so that he never really felt how isolated and alone he really was in lodgings that were so remote in location and so far away from the city life he was used to. I had thought this beautiful cat would stay on until the end of the movie - after all, it was so wholesome and good, so harmless and ultra friendly. But nope, the cat had to die and in the most sadistic way too - all sliced up and left outside the lodgings front porch for Mikael to discover, and when he does he is shocked and immediately retching vomit on sight. Later on we get to guess that Martin had killed the cat, as we then find out that he is also the sadistic serial killer of the many women he had trapped after enticing them back to his fabulous, yet so scarily isolated that "no one can hear you scream" hilltop home. That poor cat didn't deserve to die.
He talks about it later when he says what he does is unlike his father who just left the bodies scattered about like his trophies he was a stupid man loud and garish and got what he deserved. Or something like that apparently he was having sex with both of his kids because martin says he hasn't touched a man like that since his father. And he was raping his sister. I don't know if his father took him with him or showed him some of the bodies because Martin certainly knows his father was a serial killer but it's possible he just put it together.

The lord ain’t helping my ass and I’m shooting Fentanyl and been depressed , lost all hope 20+ years now . I just wish lisbeth salander was a real girl and we could fall in love !! Instead she marries that Cleft palate Joaquin phoenix Jackoff , I’m absolutely head over heals in love with Rooneys maras character Lisbeth ! I’m 44 year old man and I cry at the end when she throws the custom made leather jacket into the dumpster when Daniel Craig breaks her heart , come save me lisbeth , I live in NYC and I’m thinking of seeking asylum in Sweden
daniel craig and rooney mara are the perfect match for mikael blomkvist and lisbeth salander
Such a shame that Sony had no interest in completing the trilogy.
too bad no other movies were made

Little moments like this in acting/improv/keeping it real 0:45 is what I love about film.
Subtle way of showing that he is not the only one with keys

Great idea keeping the "bottle rolling off the fridge and catch" scene in. Good grab!

1:58 When I saw this, I immediately I had an image in my mind of Lisbeth at her computer, eating a piece of Billy's Pan Pizza in one hand.
i won't shake his hand either
She let the cat in

Excellent movie❤
Was the water bottle rolling of the top of the fridge intentional or a mistake that looked good for the final cut?
According to Fincher, the latter
1:32 Sorry sir, does she look like the unicorn and puppies type...

So who's the one who killed those girls biblically back in the past? Was it Martin or his father Gottfried?
The father Gottfried
