its rather sad. i kinda wish nekomaru was the supporting character to hajime over nagito given hajime's lack of self confidence because he doesnt have talent and nekomaru's ability to bring out talent within people as a manager. it would make for a good dynamic of someone with seemingly low self esteem compared to someone with much higher self esteem. Eventually Hajime comes unto his own and gets a naturally forged talent towards the end of the game the only problem with all of this is that hajime didnt know he was talentless until chapter 4

If Hajime chooses a bad option during an event Nekomaru will say: "Hmmm… That date wasn’t exciting at all… A detailed plan produces maximum results in both dating and training. You won’t make me fall for you if you act like this! Bye now!” showing that his feelings for Hajime appear to be on a romantic level."
