I appreciate the support and overly generous compliment, but the simple reality is that I'm having as much fun playing out these hard battles and making guides as you fellas seem to to enjoying them. A win-win situation for us all!
@@HeadlessHorsemanProductions I agree completely. I would go so far as to say they do better work as well. I use a lot of mods. I find that after 4000 hrs of bannerlord It is unplayable to me with out mods. I find "Command Faction Parties" is a good mod. Also "Commanders and Conquerors". I lost count of my mod list but its around 120 ish mods.
@@HeadlessHorsemanProductions Yeah they revolve around RBM and a bunch of mods that add life to families. I like as much realism and immersion as I can get. Bannerlord without mods still is just battles with not much else to offer. The world is not alive. I have faith that the Modders will fix all.
@@vincemac2223 Sounds like you need to make some videos and explain which ones are the best. I know there are hundreds of mods, but I'd LOVE to hear from an experienced player like you(few of us have thousands of hours of play like you), and I'd be happy to make a video too if you just wanted to share your top 10(or so)...?
Well one thing for sure is in a relatively late game campaign I would hope you have six or seven cities and castles that have large Garrison's stocked with some of your favorite troops so that if you get defeated you can pretty quickly regather a new army. I also frequently keep the lower tiered Noble units at the bottom of my army so that they are constantly upgrading as elite units die there are already replacements.
Most are promoted companions(so they have better stats). I think I've only brought on one or two other clans, again for higher difficulty. I'm crazy, but hopefully crazy like a fox(because the challenge has been fuqn great!)
Armed my AI companion with Cataphracts and Brociilii bow cavalry to patrol against raids. She sped off like a bolt of lightning and assaulted a castle, with 160 cavalry... while on neutral orders, ffs... I think I found Castors relative.
I think I have 7-8 but the other clans vary enormously in the amount of clans they have - some have 3-4 because they have had members die out, others have like 12 clans, so it's pretty lopsided.
Hey man! How do you give a fief to yourself in the menu? Emperor Garios died in my campaign, and I got appointed to be the next Emperor. But I can’t seem to give myself any fiefs… (playing vanilla, no mods)
There isn't a way to unilaterally do this, you must suggest 'a new fief owner', then often it will give you as one of the three options. I can be more specific if that doesn't get you there...
@@wesselbooi Hmm, yeah I get suggested as one of the three choices maybe half the time. Unfortunately this is a game design(flaw?) and we're left to either get mods or deal with these mechanics(flaws!). Sorry brother, I can't help with imbecile developers :)
@@HeadlessHorsemanProductions yeah I feel you brother. Do you have a mod for the 300 series to start with more troops? I have played some 400 vs 1400 battles, and I start with almost no troops 😅
Yeah I often wonder how everything works. I have been told by a few subscribers that the channel won't grow because we don't have bots and whatnot getting us 10,000 likes and fake subscriptions per video but the channel is steadily growing and I have no ambitions to take over the world, or even make money, but I've also seen some RUclips channels for bannerlord with content that is pretty awful actually and they have a surprising number of subscribers, thousands and thousands... /shrug. I guess I figure that the content here is a both entertainment and educational value enough so that to use a metaphor, once people get a taste of the cooking at my restaurant they'll want to come back. My channel's already had more growth than I imagine likely but we'll see!
I think it's fine but there are major problems with vanilla, especially the diplomacy system the lack of control of your army after you get dropped and a handful of other significant quirks
I like mods generally, but often find that many mod authors have a very different sense of what is acceptable as game balance. I think that at times, trying to reach the limits in vanilla can be much more fun than self imposing restrictions due to mods being unbalanced.

Love it! These are older episodes but often they are full of what I consider useful info for players. We'll see how many lay under dust in a year haha
@@HeadlessHorsemanProductions it’s very helpful you put them in playlists so they’re easy to find
Nice work brother. I had given up on nobles with out mods.
Got some suggestions? Mods are just basically Taleworlds employees who haven't been hired yet, right? :)

Super useful.
How do you recruit so many elite units?
It takes me forever going round the map getting Fians, Cataphracs and others.

And thank you for the kind words!
I hope they'll make it like warband where you can tell your vassal to attack or defend castle
Might be a mod for that, but I don't use it - though I agree!!
Did you recruit the majority of your nobles from other clans, or did you promote companions to bannermen?
