Joker respects the IRS and hates Nazis. A true American Hero.
Amen brother.
Cheers to that.... lad
He does not respect the IRS... He fears it..
That being said.. He's You're basic American...
Probably hates Communists to then
In the movie “the dark knight” the joker also saves Batman’s identity by threatening to kill the man lol
He also saved Gotham, think about it,
The first movie was to establish that Gotham is beyond saving from itself, corruption, mafia.
And batman was warned that he wzs exalting the conflict.
In the second (where the joker comes in), the situation is worst than the first, batman excavated the conflict.
The joker, made the mafia penniless, made it possible for the criminal act to arrest the mafia.
He exposed the corrupted cops.
And got batman to give up (until the third movie eight years latter ) . At the end of the movie the joker plan succeed and the consequences was saving all of Gotham.

The same thing regarding Batman. If anybody is going to make him cross the line, it'd be him, and for something he did. Anything else in unacceptable.

"I may be a criminal lunatic, but I'm an AMERICAN criminal lunatic!" Has gotta be the best thing I've seen the Joker say. And then he proceeds to dish out American Justice which is also hilarious because the Joker and Justice don't get along >>
AresSG As much of scumbag and manic joker is he does seem have his standards and humanity
I think he actually believes most of his actions to be good. He sees how horrible society is, and attempts to destroy it, and because destruction breeds creation, he believes that by doing so, he is making an opportunity for a better society to rise up in it's place. Of course, he does kill the innocent as well, but there is collateral damage in any war, and he is at war with the entire world around him. Besides, He's a freaking madman. For all we know, he isn't even killing the people he thinks he is half the time.
Well this is a Trickster:
Goethe's Faust
GOD:
"Of all the spirits that negate,
the rogue to me is the least burdensome.
Man's diligence is easy exhausted,
he grows too fond of unremitting peace.
I'm therefore pleased to give him a companion
who must goad and prod and be a devil."
Not gonna lie, that brought patriotic tears to my eyes.
AresSG never knew National Socialists were the lowest of the possible low 😂
Things that are too evil, even for the Joker:
1) Nazis
2) Destroying the universe by feeding it to a dark god (which is apparently worse than plain old destroying the universe)
3) Student loan debt
4) The Batman who laughs
@@ziephel-6780 That's covered in number 2.

Okay, there are evil versions of Batman and good versions of The Joker, right?
So somewhere in the multiverse, there are good versions of The Batman Who Laughs and Grim Knight Batman, yeah?

In Batman / Spider-Man: Joker was willing to attack Carnage when he was about to kill Batman! Not many Serial killers are willing to attack another Serial Killer!
Freddy vs Jason anyone?
"Attack Carnage"? Oh, no, no, no. He was going to release a plague that not even the symboite could protect Carnage from (this was written before the symboite race could cure just about any problem the host had). The whole city would die.
Dexter?
Yes
Forgetting the time he stopped Batman from breaking his no killing rule.
In the War of Jokes and Riddles. Joker puts his hand out and gets basically a machete through his hand to stop Batman from killing the Riddler.
@@thefairguin Because only he can make Batman break his rule.
@@thefairguin okay, but wasn't that also kinda to one up the riddler as well?
You can lie to yourself all you want, but it's that twisted relationship that makes them interesting.
Part of what makes Joker so captivating is the fact that, he's really just a normal person, a person that got mentally broken to the extreme but not in a way that was actually debilitating (for him at least). He's a regular person doing incredible, insurmountable things, despite being so broken. He's a normal person who's often outsmarting, and defeating, "actual" superheroes with incredible powers or seemingly infinite resources, and with nothing more than his wits and stuff you could gather off the street.
I believe that part of his appeal is that most people can empathize with him; the deep-seated, repressed desire to want to lash out against a society we see as insane. We say it's because he's "cool" or "interesting" as a contrasting character, but really, it's because we secretly wish we could be him, to be seemingly free of the things the things holding us back, to follow through on the choices we "want" to make instead of feeling trapped by the choices we're "expected" to make. That and, perhaps having actual respect for the IRS...
I think ya talking about the movie right? Or was it in a comic somewhere?
@@Sasygigikitty the killing joke represents this best but have you ever read a joker origin? The "killing joke" that destroyed joker and made him what he is goes like this: "everybody thinks they are in control, that they are sane, but the only thing keeping them from being like me is one bad day" basically saying all it takes is one bad day to make the most sane man into essentially the joker
I have to admit that my favorite portrayal of the joker had to be the taletell series of games. Loved the way they portrayed him on both sides of the law and the inevitable fight between Bruce and Joker.
What makes Joker a likeable character is how unpredictable he is. I've realized that there are villains much worse than the Joker. Red Skull and Brainiac are my most disliked villains because they are perfect examples of smartasses.
He's also a great tool and plot device for the writers just like Batman in that he can be calibrated for the times or the level of seriousness to camp a writer wants.
Nobody likes a smartass.
I think it’s also the contrast of his silliness and his psychopathy
The main reason joker never wants to unmask batman is because it ruins the fun for him
For Joker, Batman is the real person, and Bruce Wayne the alter ego. So knowing "who Batman is" isn't even a question for Joker. Batman is Batman.

Its normal for me brother! Time to commence gay!
This is reminding me of something I call "The Hulk Principal." Basically the idea is that there are few things more satisfying than watching one of your worst enemies, or just someone you don't like, have to scramble to deal with one of your worst and/or oldest problems. Seriously, it can be SO satisfying. The Hulk, depending on how he's written, is an excellent example of this. It's often used as a sort of Chekhov's gun in stories that are only about one arc long. One example of this is the action climax (rather than romantic climax) of the film, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs. One of the first scenes of the main character show him realizing that his latest invention, spray-on shoes (patent pending), can't be removed. (Spoilers begin here!) Then in the action climax of the movie the flash drive he was going to use to upload a computer virus to the device (you know the trope) turns out to only have a running gag cat video on it ("DaaAAad!). Out of ideas and hope he's about to give up when he remembers the can of spray-on shoes (TM) he has in his lab coat pocket. So he plugs the end of his machine with the spray-on shoes (they DON'T come off) and it explodes (you know the trope). (Spoilers end here!) I think that's part of the reason it can be so satisfying to watch the Joker not be (as) evil for a bit. Watching the bigger(?) bad suddenly have to deal with THE. JOKER. Especially when he comes out of nowhere.
Number nine;
Pretty sure that wasn’t Joker, because in a cinematic tone, that was whoever Joker was before the acid bath.
You mean arthur fleck after his bad day that put him on the path to insanity?
Not every villian will pay for college! Hell, even Bruce and Tony are pretty stiff on paying for things that aren't for them!
Batman Europa:
-both are poisoned
-Batman is trying to find a cure
-He experiences hallucinations
-He’s constantly put in a wild goose chase because of a multitude of his worst foes
Are you telling me that Arkham City is based off of Europa? That’s badass
Europa was released in 2016, arkham city is from 2011
The healthier part of Jarley is something we don't ever get to see, and a dynamic that I absolutely adore. I hope we get to see more of it in future comics.
If you read through some old issues, you'll see that Joker has gone out of his way to save Batmans life of many occasions. Not entirely sure you can label these actions as heroism though as there was a villainous reason behind it - "Nobody kills the Bat but me!!!"
When he shot Murrey.
Haha
That was so heroic
What do you get when you cross a mentally ill loner, with a society who abandons him and treats him like trash?
True lmao
How is that heroic
Joker needs Batman and vice versa, why they rarely die/let the other die
Batman caused the joker

The Joker and Magneto should team up to kill Red skull and Baron Zemo.
@J&N Gaming and More! Yeah i quess your right but still it would be cool to see joker change from villain to hero.
What did Barron zemo do again? Besides tearing the avengers apart
Batman who laughts is really scary. He looks l.ike Voldo from Soul Calibur series.
Thanos can have his half universe, Darkseid can keep anti-life equation but the Joker will never let his insane/sane mind to down him.
I like that the joker in one universe starts the wheel to the apocalypse and in another he salvaged the rest of humanity under his wing
😂😂😂😂😂😂
What about John Doe 🤔
The Joker saved Gotham by bankrupting the criminals. (The movies)
Joker fighting Red Skull cemented him as my favorite villain of all time. Joker may be a murderer, but he will NEVER be a racist.
Joker v red skull proves professionals have standards
You forgot the moment he killed Alexander Luthor, the architect behind Infinite Crisis, because he didn't include the clown.
Joker being good when the world's gone to shambles makes complete sense. While everyone is in disarray and chaos becomes normal, the joker does what isn't normal... fucking madman
😂😂😂😂😂😂
JOKER: mama always said be leader not follower and mama ain't raise no fool
The joker is true chaotic neutral
It's not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me.
You should've included Joker killing Alexander Luthor during Infinite Crisis
at the end of Infinite crisis and in Lex Luthor's words it's because he "wouldn't let the Joker play"
Alexander wasn't exactly a villain. He just wanted his world back. Superboy did all the killing. He's mostly just chilling
Him being a good guy during the apocolypse makes sense. In The Killing Joke, he says point blank that his goal is to make people realize that what they struggle for is pointless. The fall of society pretty much does that, so what would be the best joke possible then? If Joker is the one that helps put society back together again
I had no idea Joker was a HUGE simp
And all these moments of the Jokers showing his good side to help save the world not just Batman but the world are the reason why Batman Can't simply kill the Joker. Joker keeps showing that is possible he might be redeemable
Dr jekyl Mr Hyde Joker just madman tryna contain his impulses and boredom
So basically, it seems that Joker's actions basically down to these principles;
1. If the world ends, it will be on *his* terms, nobody else's, and he'll do whatever he can to prevent any other villain from destroying all life.
2. Batman is too much fun to toy with to either let someone else kill him or expose his identity, and anyone who tries doing either or even both will not be having a good day to put it kindly. He even appears to have some sort of twisted respect for the Caped Crusader.
3. Some things are too messed up for even him, although he was all too willing to kill the Boy Wonder (Uncharacteristically brutally, I might add), Nazism is going too far.
4. He appears to hold some value in humanity as a whole, it's just certain individuals he can't stand, and it's those people who suffer his maniacal, sadistic wrath. Sure he's willing to let people die as collateral damage to get his way, but he would never exterminate humanity entirely to achieve his goals.
Also, as toxic as Joker and Harley's relationship is, surely there is actually some genuine affection there, it's just buried under a *lot* of toxicity and insanity.
Lol u can't deny he loves harley she only one he ever saves more than batman
You know joker and heroic have never crossed my mind not even once until this video
You forgot one of the most iconique joker 'héroïque deed' (well... Only if you look at the consequences and not the method used to save the day)
So in the nolan trilogy, we learn of the desperate state of Gotham in the first movie, its so bad that the only solution is to burn it and rebuild it. Batman stops the antagonist and since then fights crime every night.
In the first movie he was told that he will only make things worse.
In the second movie, it does get worse, badman wannabes, excalation of violence, corruption, mafia.
The joker had a plan, a plan that left the mafia penniless, and arrested, the corrupted exposed, and made batman give uo for eight years (3rd movie). At the end of the day he saved Gotham. Pretty heroic, even if his method where not. Heath ledgers joker great goddammit.
I think joker ist just a guy that wants to have fun at all costs and be remembered for it
I don't think Red Skull really considers himself a Nazi if anything his MCU interpretation shows that him joining the Nazis was always a means to power.
Yup
@Red StarPossibilites - *whispers* "he's" not real.
He did at the time the events in the comic take place (ie World War II). Captain America falls into the water at the end and is revived in the sixties.

The Joker if so amusing because of the good things that he does seeing as that's what truly makes him unpredictable
Okay jokers got my approval he’s got some kindness in him.
Earth 3 joker is a good guy and called jester so yeah he’s done heroic things
What about that time where Joker helps Batman from Owlman... everyone turns against Batman but not Joker and he's willing to help.. even going so far on saving a child who later says "Watch out Joker, Its Batman" only for Joker to say he's the good Batman.

I get the idea of the thumbnail, but funnily enough it comes from a comic where he was only a bad guy (he gets wrecked by superman though, which is hilarious to see)
I like those rare good guy versions of the Joker in the multiverse
someone needs to draw joker punching a nazi fanart
Or a Communist. Or any other fanatic from an authoritative, oppressive ideology.
*Joker + Superman = Joker man*
Just to clarify on number 2 - it's suggested in this story that the radioactive fallout (or whatever it was) that took away the superheroes' powers also made Joker sane (which kind of makes sense given that sometimes it's implied that his 'insanity' is actually a side effect of being able to see a 'hyper-sane' sense of reality).
To be honest. the Joker as a vigilante would be pretty scarry, since he wouldnt hesitate to kill and torture criminals, actually that would make a pretty good series
The thomas Wayne/flash point batman kills people.

@@memeaids445 yeah
Matpat (from Movie Theory) had said a theory that Dark Knight Joker was trying to make the mob to get out of town scaring other gangs but Batman had to ruin it
(Edit): The part of Joker saving Batman's Identity was to keep their relationship keep going as it was said in the Harley Quinn show because the whole meaning of Batman and Joker's relationship was the mystery of who is Batman even in Harley Quinn the show Joker yells Scare Crow for ruining the fun that the Joker and Batman had for many decades of DC comics the while point of Joker is committing his Villainous character to have fun fighting against his arch enemy even in the Animated series when Joker, Harley and his Goons go rob a bank he waits for Batman and he even yelled and told Harley to put back the jewelry because he waits for his arch enemy to take him down like he wants to
The Joker messing with other criminals though is one of my favourite Joker moods. He’s such a double crosser
I would add "Final Crisis" with Joker being the unknown and unintended hero. As Luthor stands over Alexander Luthor that classic line ".....you didn't let the Joker play"
Wow! Really Heroic.
Joker pays for Harleys tuition
Me: it must be a Tuesday!
😂😂😂😂😂😂
It makes sense that he would fight the Batman who laughs even he wouldn’t want the universe destroyed
If you view Joker from the perspective of the 2019 Joker film and it’s idea of his origins, really all Joker is trying to do is be noticed, have a feeling that he exists.
The chaos he creates creates a major reaction which satisfies that need. But if he tried to go and kill people as the world is ending then he would eradicate the last of his source for attention. So really Gotham city will never have a neutral status until Joker grows old and keel over, he’ll always try to find a way to gain attention but make sure his source for doing so is not in danger.
Joker within the deepest depths of him is a good guy ... ish
professionals have STANDARDS
My favorite heroic Joker moment was the entirety of Joker (2019)

Reverse Fuhrer to be fair he isn’t always awful and he may not have wrote the list.
Also he’s like 12 you can’t really blame him for not remembering this shit 😂
Kind of surprised Ewan left of the ending of War of Jokes and Riddles. Batman literally was about to kill Riddler for killing Kite-Man’s son. Joker knew Batman lost control, and jumped in front him Riddler causing Batman to stab his batarang through Joker’s hand instead of Riddler’s chest
I was going to make a comment about this. Good on you!
When Joker is the one saving you and or the world, shit has really hit the fan. Like against the Batman Who Laughs. That thing NEEDED to be stopped. And during his time as Jack Napier during the White Knight series, he did so much good it's mind blowing. Finally Joker being like "ABSOLUTELY NOT!" with the Red Skull shows that even he, in all his insanity and brutality, has standards.
Show must go on.
In a story collection titled _The Futher Adventures Of The Joker_ one tale of a 1940s Clown Prince has him acting as a rogue agent in wartime Europe before making off with an utter fortune in Nazi loot and a rather imposing Teutonic lass. It's all a hallucination from electroshock therapy, but it's one Hell of a read.
That’s all well and good but which Jokers are we talking about?
I think he is a moron. Lol
Saki Yoshida: Who are you
Harley: You but not extremely abused
But the joker paid for Harley's college tuition BEFORE he became the joker and WASNT in a relationship with her, therefore it could be argued the it wasn't technically something nice that the joker did because the joker essentially didn't exist yet. It was just a man in a bar doing a random act of kindness for someone he is yet to know very well.

Joker wants to cause chaos. You can't cause chaos if there's no world for the chaos to be in.

Number 2 makes sense if you really consider Joker as an anarchist, which means he only aimed to destroy the old order and create a new one. He did want to watch the world burn. But he also wanted to rebuild it better from the ashes.
