Had the pleasure of sharing a train journey with this young lady yesterday - the blind guitar nerd. As much as I'm a middle aged punk rocker at heart, this is right up my street, too. I'm very partial to celtic folk music, and will be investing in the album. Don't forget, Elixir strings, Roddy Frame, and Meredith Brooks 😉
As someone who prefers fall and abhors hot weather, I never thought in my life I would almost drop a tear over the end of summer. You are casting spells! Brilliant song writing. You are a just so good at this.
is it just me, or is there a strong Irish influence at work here? Whether there is or not, this is so beautiful. I love the way it builds, I love the fiddle playing, I love the way it falls away again, with that fading farewell. I'm so happy to have found your music. I'm certain that, before very long, a lot of people will cover this gorgeous song. PS the video works so well too, with that blood red sunset as you fade away and the birds take over.
such a wonderful song...to listen now while autumn displays its full beauty and sadness. there is something magic about autumn light and its warmth....
Simply beautiful- walking through the autumn leaves with this song in your ears is amazing - I particularly love the birdsong as on my walks it slowly fades….until Springtime. Thank you
You voice is so soft and smooth and flows through the song hooking you in and putting you in to a trance till the song ends and then you are left speechless ..
I heard this song on Cerys Mattews 6 Music Show on Sunday. Some songs just stop you in your tracks and I had to sit and stare out of the window for a few minutes and shed a few tears. Absolutely beautiful. Thank you.
This song has really struck a chord with me for some reason. Love the album, Katherine, but I can't stop playing this at every opportunity I get. Beautiful composition.
Such wonderful emotive music. I literally stumbled upon Katherine's Eurydice video as one of the links down the right a while back and went from there to the live rendition of Icarus on the McClaren Guitars channel and was utterly blown away. I couldn't wait for the album to come out and I don't think a day has passed since where I've not listened to it in it's entirety or in large parts. Superb songwriting, voice and instrumentation throughout and I always come away feeling uplifted and with a wonderful sense of connection to something I really cannot describe. I haven't been moved like this by music in a long long time, certainly not since stumbling upon the Dorset band Saturday Sun in a similar way back in 2013.
What a perfect song for the first day of October! Your music has been an inspiration and a joy to me over the years since I first heard your beautiful cover of Holocene. Thank you for all you've given us!
A bit of Bill Callanan in the lyric turn of phrase. It almost feels disrespectful to compare you to anyone, to compare anyone to anyone. Lovely tune, an Irish fan.

Fallen in love with this song having heard it on BBC6... completely, and submissively, wrapped up in it.

I was floating on the same cloud above our earth ...
Extraordinary and beautiful. Thank you.
*gulp*...that was truly beautiful.
I immediately thought of Anne Briggs and her version of Darkwater Side.
Such a beautiful and touching song
