Listening at 3:31 to Chester saying how much he wanted this album to work and to be so happy and proud of it and do stuff new while entertaining fans and bringing in new fans as well. Then remembering all the backlash and hate they would get. I honestly feel bad for them but especially Chester. Such a happy soul gone and some of his last thoughts were the people attacking and hating the record even though he poured his heart and soul into it. R.I.P Chester, we will never forget you and the last 7 LP albums you helped make amazing. Thank you.

Surprisingly, it’s actually Chester’s least favorite song by Linkin Park, his own band participation BTW. That’s why I stopped listening to it. If Chester resents it, I’m not gonna listen to it. In salutation for him because he was sent by an angel (very confident, empathetic, much nicer than he shows socially, and extremely vigorous).

It's really deep what Chester said at the end, about the music reaching beyond the scope of fans. He was all about expansiveness and unity. Its like he wanted people to come together, and in the end when he died it was as if he sacrificed himself for the people, who eventually did come together to mourn his tragic loss. An ironic twist of fate, but a beautiful soul and its so sad that he reached that point. Goodbye Chester ❤️

Dave the Assassin As someone who dealt with depression for years I can say it's not as much there when you're with company. Most of the eating I did when I was depressed was when I was alone. Depression eats at you when you're by yourself, most vulnerable.

what chester was saying in the end - they totally achieved it. i never really listened to linkin park, i knew a couple of their songs and knew they were great. but these new songs have stuck in my head, and truly reached to me.
ilona k If you are new to them, listen to A Thousand Suns with a good pair of headphones. The layering of sound, the journey from beginning to end, it is absolutely my favorite album from them. And it's best listened to from start to finish. This new album is like that. I didn't like many if the tracks Individually but listening to the whole it changes the dynamic somehow for me.

Every single song from the last albom , ( well, to be honest, every their song from all years) touches every single part of my soul. None of them I would forgot. These guys are awesome. You get the impression from these guys over the years that they Love creating music so much and don't make it with the purpose to please other people . They are not controlled by the label or industry telling them how they should sound. Props to Linkin Park for staying passionate about their craft and staying true to who they are. Bands don't last very long if they stay with the same style and sound the whole time. As people grow and change that will inevitably reflect in the art they create.

Like their new album or not, respect their work and attitude towards art. I've loved every album they put out and I love how different and experimental LP music is. "One More Light" album sounds very personal and yes there's no screaming or heavy guitar but LP has never labeled themselves into one genre. Long story short, LOVE YOU GUYS, LOVE EVERY OLD & NEW SONG AND CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU LIVE IN JUNE

I think Chester's bit at the end really summed things up very well. It's a large part of why the album has been so divisive, but you can tell Linkin Park still knows what they're doing and have the skill to make exactly what they want to make. One thing's for sure, I have songs off this album stuck in my head constantly (which I have absolutely no problems with). It probably helps that I listen to the album a lot though.
What I love from LP is that every record is a surprise. How will be the next one like? Who knows

I wish I could eat now.. My stomach has been in knots for days. I can't eat, I can't sleep, I can't think most of the time. There is so much physical and emotional pain it's unbearable. I just want to wake up from this nightmare. Their music got me through times like these, now it's what causes the most pain.
Man, you guys and this album...just blew my face off. when I first heard it I was skeptical, I gave it a few more listens. I got my head out of the gutter and realized just how amazing this album really was. it's scary for fans who have been with this band from the start to hear this album and I understand the hate and crap people are throwing at them. You don't have to like this album, and you might learn to love it. They put in a significant amount of work, as usual and if you cant hear that then tough luck.Just cus there's no screaming and anger in it. The world doesn't revolve around one emotion and hating everything. get over it.

Linkin Park Trancends genre! They always have been. Always pushing the limits and that's what I love about these guys, no matter what they create it's always genuine, you can feel it in their music and if you're upset that Linkin Park "Changed their style" or "Sold out" then you never really got this band and they were about. Linkin Park, I love you guys, always have and always will, keep doing what you're doing, you'll always have my support.

Chester is eating because he is following his diet schedule. In case you guys didn't know, Chester has been a bodybuilder for quite some time now and is following strict regimen. He was featured in a body building magazine and he's actually pretty buff.

I know that it is kind of late but truth be told, when I first heard One More Light, I didn't know that was of Linkin Park. I fell in love with the song, searched for it, found out it was of Linkin Park, the band I grew up listening to... So, what Chester wished this album to be really came true. "I don't know who it is, but I love the song."
I love hearing their thoughts before this record. I love how Chester describes how hearing the songs bouncing around in your head. Once they go in they can't leave. I love this album. It's such a self journey kinda record. Every song there has different feelings intertwined.

There are so much things to learn from them. Even their makings, their LPTV shows, their group meetings are educational, mind refreshing and inspiring. What I really love about the statement at the end that Chester was making is that it's true. After any song I listen to on OML, it gets stuck in my head. When I was showing some songs to friends who don't listen to them, every single response was "wow, this is really good. I love how right Chester was about One More Light. Listening to Linkin Park during high school (LP has literally saved me twice during that time) and eventually growing up myself, moving on and now repeating the shit out of One More Light... I never would have guessed that Chester had a singing voice so strong, so powerful, so small yet so big without having to scream like I know he could. When I was a teenager, I didn't have RUclips. All I had was my disc-man that would later become an mp3-player. A friend of mine, at that time, introduced me to 'Numb' as I felt miserable during high school. My first reaction was 'What the F? What kind of crappy music is this?'. He got kind of pissed and told me to take that song home, listen to it when I would be in my room alone with my headphones in and so I did. The first two times it was me listening to the lyrics and the third time I was screaming from the top of my lungs. 'Numb' was exactly what I needed back then, so the next day I thanked him. I thanked him for introducing me to 'Numb' and thus Linkin Park and we played the shit out of HT and Meteora, the entire classroom eventually did. Now, about twelve years I grew up and last month I came across REACT's video where kids reacted to Linkin Park's Heavy and that's when I reconnected with them. One More Light's been on my repeat since Chester's passing - which I can't seem to let go. I never would've guessed that One More Light would be an album by Linkin Park, but it's my favorite of theirs even though Numb will always be special to me. Thank you for showing us strength, thank you for your amazing voice.
That sentence at the very end stating that someone will listen (and like) one song and think "now way this is LINKIN PARK ?!", that's me. That's how I discovered them back in 2008, listening to "Leave Out All The Rest". And that, is the day this band became the best part of my life. Forever.

I see a lot of growth in this album. Obviously it sounds a lot different than anything they've done before, but lyrically it's different too. I feel like the lyrics are less open to interpretation and more telling a story or event or emotion that they might have been feeling at the time. With the sound, just vocally it's obvious that Chester and Mike both got to really open up and explore their ranges, which is a nice change from just screaming in every song. Don't get me wrong, I love those songs too but it's like now they have songs for every mood I'm in. I really connected with these lyrics. If nothing else, I think that this album has some of the best singing vocals from both of them. It's been interesting to see them perform live too because it gives a whole different feel to the songs.
So weird but awesome at the same time how Chester wanted the album/songs to have that affect on someone that when the songs over it's still playing in their head....... & I do get that with the new album a lot! Like when they released "Heavy" & Talking to myself", everywhere I went the songs/album were playing in my head & sometimes I'd catch myself singing them out loud... but that's not only with the new album it's always been with their previous albums too but it's just soo weird and amazing how he wanted people to have that feeling and affect with their album! ..... RIP Chester 🤘🙏 that affect/feeling will never leave with your music. 😪💔💙
I LOVE this album! And I’ve been a fan since Hybrid Theory. They definitely matured sound wise with One More Light and it was incredible. Can’t wait to hear what the music sounds like that they were working on before the Pandemic hit.

In my opinion, I feel that Linkin Park has achieved what Chester want this record to achieve. He's right, it is vibey and all the songs are stuck in my head because it is simple and catchy. I do love this record for the meaning behind their lyrics, their passion for this record and generally, the songs are just great! I have been a Linkin Park fan, and will always be!

This perfectly sums up why One More Light is what it is. The guys set personal goals and criteria for the album, opened themselves up to a different process of writing and developing songs, and then trusted that process to get them to the final product.
It's really cool to see this early conversation, knowing that they ended up doing exactly what they set out to do.
It would be hard for anyone to really argue that OML isn't Linkin Park after seeing this video, when in reality OML is 100% Linkin Park, and the whole concept for the album came from the 6 band members sitting down and setting this goal for themselves.
I just realized how much I fucking LOVE this album! My respect for these guys has been growing incredibly much in the past few weeks.

When you pour your heart and soul out into your music,lay yourself bare for the world to see and people lash out because of genre ignoring the 18months of hardwork,lyrics that came from deep dark recesses of the mind, you should be hurt and rightfully so.
