Xc on the flats and uphill and dc in the descents. Over a course a xc bike is probably faster, you win races in the climbs. If you don't race, a dc is a more allround bike.
@@MTBs wow that is a great and helpful information bro, so you will help me to decide, I don’t race, but I have a trail bike and I found it heavy a bit, I want to ride faster than a trail bike but also capable and great on single tracks and rough trails, so the down hill is a good choice ? Am confused between the Scott spark and the trek top fuel 8 ? Help me to decide bro thank you 🙏
You mean the Spark RC? Haven't ridden it only the 910, but it's probably a capable bike in most situations. It's got 10mm less fork and a different angle set basically as far as I know.
Is the weight (close to 13kg I guess, with pedals and tubeless setup) apreciable? I love this bike, but I fear it’s too heavy to ride on long marathons...
Hi! The 910 is supposed to be pretty light at 12.3 kg tubeless, but without pedals. Unfortunately I didn't have the chance to weigh the bike myself. You could almost go 1 kg lighter for about the same money with the RC model which has only got 10 mm shorter travel in the front. I am not a marathon racer myself and I don't care that much about weight, but if featherweight is your thing maybe you also should take a look at the Spesh Epic or the Epic Evo. Cheers!
What size would you recommend for me...I am 1,78cm but have a very long inseam of 87cm [always ride an L..currently a Scalpel Si] ...and am between sizes on the Scott calculator...
It's always very difficult to recommend bike sizes, we're all shaped differently. I am 185 cm and size L fits me perfect. I compared some numbers in this video: ruclips.net/video/G4MlIkBhSQQ/видео.html The integrated shock comes with consequences, namely a long seat tube and low bb drop/height which you need to consider. As always, test for yourself before you part with this much money! Good luck!
Tough call! Whatever bike is in stock? The Scott has got more suspension and feels a bit more plush if you fancy that. You sit a bit more upright on this bike too if I remember correctly. At the same time you're stuck with more or less proprietary stuff like the Nude shock, lockout and Syncros components. Both bikes are equally fast if you are in to racing, with a slight advantage towards the Epic Evo weight wise (I assume). As I mentioned in the comparison video, maybe the Epic Evo and the Scott Spark RC are more equal bikes/comparable.
the brakes they changed in their specs, and all the 910 bikes a have seen are 2 pot brakes. I think maybe for supply shortage, but the 920 an 930 comes with 4piston brakes. I choose mine for the 4 piston brakes as a factor. It is a problem for a bike of U$D6000 dollars, not a cheap bike, almost top of their line.
Cool, but hidden shocks make it harder to do home mechanics? Great review as always! 👍
Yes, correct. You need heavier tools for that. A sledgehammer would do the trick! 💪
@@MTBs Haha! Great! I have a big one at home!
Which is faster the down country or the Xc ? Thank you 🙏

The Trek is more of a trail bike than the Spark and it's heavier. Have you seen my Downcountry Showdown video? I think the answer is there.
@@MTBs so the question is can the spark XC do rough trails ? But it will be fast climbing ? Right ?

I’ve never ridden a Scott bike. I need to demo one of these with that hidden rear suspension.
A very well built concept I must say. Looks so sleek/stealth in real life!
Take care, mate!
@@MTBs this or Evo

Nice! How tall are you?

I am 185 cm. Another guy who was slightly taller (188 cm I think) was fine on the bike too.

Looks like it's hard to ride this in a straight line
Nah, I am just wiggling about more than I realized when climbing with a big camera bag and trying to talk to the camera at the same time. 😂
Tallboy killer - this is a better bike and the rear suspension is ground breaking
