Besides the weight saving and stiffness design, I like that the engineers have thought about other issues like internal cables, chainstay protector, suspension modes, tyre clearance.
While this integrated design is gorgeous, I dont think that having a big hole in the downtube is good for the stiffness or structural integrity of the frame. Nino must be crazy to do those jumps on this flimsy bike.
@@croatianmountainbiking6624 And less stiff, because it has a big effin HOLE in the downtube, right in the crank area which is the most solicited...that means more flex and less torsional rigidity.

I don't think that be an issue since most of the time the shock is lock up during climbs and the shocks traction mode reduces trave used for it to heat up so much. compared to DH and Enduro shock that is always open and aggressively compressing at all times.
I tested a 2018 (or 2017?) Spark RC, and swore I’d never buy one. Why? It was a very harsh ride, felt unstable on tech terrain (I was living in New England. Even the Scott rep admitted the riding there was challenging), descending anything steep bordered on scary; the bike was a speed demon, but very unforgiving. Just seeing this new RC bike, reading it’s specs, this looks like a very different, very forward thinking, very progressive machine. I’m seriously trying to find one to ride, and possibly buy. Very impressive Scott!
Yeah it rides fun until it breaks. Then you will have to chuck it away as it will be near impossible to fix. Bike manufacturers should stick to simplicity in design.
Is it though? Requires 2 people to check it, no way i can see it while sitting on it so doesn't really add any value compared to just looking at the o-ring
To be honest, it would be great if you guys made the genius and the ransom with the same design philosophy, if it was possible off course. Is a very clever design, and it looks great to. Congrats
Was wondering where the shock was lol. This is great , on a lot of bikes , there are space constraints for the bottle , some don't even have proper mount space. Meanwhile this can fit 2.
Hi If the rear triangle is flexible and Scott had to reinforce the carbon in the stress points, HOW IT WORKS FOR ALUMINIUM? The aluminum Spark doesn't have a link in the back too and the Metal can be that flexible, otherwise, it will have some FATIGUE (micro crack).
Beautiful. So all people who bought their spark at 12000 euro price in 2020 , now are going to sell it to buy this monster at 14000 euro. People are out of mind.
no it is lacking a couple more bottle holder mounting points, fenders mouting points, a flared drop bars, TT aerobars, bike packing custom bags and aero shaped tube profiles for maximum "Rapha A**hole" effect
When will these be shipping?!? My local bike shop has been attempting to get me a 2021 Spark RC 900 AXS Team Issue for over a year.. Will I be waiting 2 years for this?
Why? If you want to maintain the suspension, you'll need to put it out like if it it's not hidden. So where is the problem? Anything else is accessable from the outside
Not a fan of the cable routing in the headset. Looks as if moist, dirt and grime have a very easy access to the bearings. Otherwise a good looking bike :)
Read a 'positive' review yesterday but the reviewer said the BB creaks as do the bearings at the pivot. If one thing sucks more than almost anything on a bike it's noises you cannot fix. Do any Spark users have such issues?
I wonder if the head set creaks like on my spark rc comp. I ended up chucking it and relplaced it with a standard ritchey head set and round handlebars. Aero bars on a mtb really????
Oh, so this happened to you as well? My Scale creaks so badly I was afraid it's delamination of the carbon. It looks prettier than other headsets, so I would like to keep it. Let's hope it's fixable by re-seating everything.
@@MacPhantom Very interesting. I applied generous amounts of carbon paste on the head stem which silenced the creaking for 1 or two rides then it would creak badly again many times. As I mentioned, I ended up replacing the original bars and headstem with alloy Richey headstem and alloy Thomson bars with plenty of carbon fibre grip for about Aus $200. Also good to check clean and grease steering/headset bearings. No problem now. I don't worry about looks. Performance is paramount. I think the higher end Scott headsets and bars are a complete gimmick.
The internal shock system comes from BOLD cycles in Switzerland which Scott bought.
Yes people who can read knows this. It's not some hidden information 😅
Whatever man. They put on the global market now! Deal with it.
Be grateful that Scott bought it but you complaint anyway. What if a far east company did the same? You complaint too.
They ran out of ideas and just slapped a Scott decal and everyone's going insane like it's a new invention.
Hewlett-Packard HP has been well known in doing this. Acquire and rebrand. Same goes to SRAM acquire Rockshox.
Cleanest looking bike on the market and I'm not a Scott fan. I like the idea of the rear shock being protected from dust and debris
