You were right about the possibility of it being either a '78 or '79. My early build date '78 has the round headlights, but I know for a fact that the later '78 trucks got the squares. For all we know the damn thing could be a '73 and the guy liked the later grille instead of the earlier split grille it came with. They were all the same body from '73-'79 so the grilles are interchangeable.
I made it thru in June, 7sins, 78 Jeep CJ 360 37 in MTZ, but it was ruff, trust me, I was stuck a time or two, but back out of it and muscled thru, going bigger next winter, and maybe a 562

nice truck looks like a 78 or 9. whats are you running engina and drive train wise 400 or 460 with dana 60s front and rear with a rear locker if i were to guess. mines running a 390 with a 40 in the front 60 full floater rear on 38 pitbull rockers thinkin of a 60 swap for the front and goin from there probably wont see the road for a while got a vi

I really like that set up where he throws it in reverse and the back up/work lights come on too.
All you gotta do is wire the positive wires from the lights to the reverse lights. It’s easier if you got a 7 pin trailer wire harness
