    The new medicine we needed. Shocking that something so simple wasn't common before. I have some opponents that go c3 instead of e3 though, but h5 is still interesting. Thanks for this!

    Me: Just go home baby.
    Thanks for the crazy analysis Mio, who would've thought you could make London players uncomfortable as early as move 2 😂

    Mio, I had this position from an exchange Slav transposition and played h5 before he played e3. This was a GM rated 306 Fide currently, rated rapid. This works and thanks if only I saw this a few days ago! Never hit him with e5, bottled it. Calculated it and decided against it no idea why. Hope you’re well Sir! No wins in masters database for this line yet hope one of us gets it otb you’re a hero man thanks for years of good work

    Big Mio: "Ho ho ho" 🤗
    London-player: "Hi Santa. You got something for me?" 🤑
    Big Mio: "Body, Say goodbye to your Bishop!"
    Landon-Player: " Ooouch!" 🥴

    I was caught in this trap in a 'friendly' game, perhaps a couple of years ago. Next time I played 3. Nf3 Bg4 4 c4. He stopped playing 2...h5. Even London-players can be provoked to aggression.

  • @rhysgriffiths9675
    @rhysgriffiths9675 6 месяцев назад +12

    Tried it before. Most London players know this trap and just make a retreat square for their bishop after h5.

    This theme is even more fun if you premove 1...h5 and 2...h4 on your first 2 moves : 1 d4 h5 2 Bf4 h4 3 e3 e5. Poor White, "How can I possibly be lost after 3 moves against someone who plays like this ??!"
    Actually, serves him right for playing the London ^^

    I know--it's only an 8 minute video--and I appreciate that, but this is too complicated and risky to not explain continuations to, for example, e5 at 7:16. A lot of tension there.
