This game has amazing sound design and sFX. The firearms sound unique imo, I especially love the clunky high pitched metallic noises of the silenced weapons shooting, it doesn't sound stealthy at all, but sounds cool, lmao!!!
I love many of the weapons in this game, but my two main weapons was the Nano GL and the N.I.C.W. i just love explosions, also the W.A.S.P was fun to use.
Funny enough having the Shotgun Shells be semi-auto and the incendiary pump action is realistic. Since Dragon's Breath cartridges don't have enough pressure behind the explosion to cycle the action, so you would have to pump to eject the round, whereas a traditional buckshot cartridge fires with enough force to cycle a semi-auto and keep shooting. It's part of the reason the SPAS-12 has a pump action despite being designed as a semi-auto, because it was built to be compatible with low-pressure ammunition.
Im a huge fan of the first two red faction games, but i dont know how 2 was considered a graphically superior game when it looks considerably more cartoony and choppy in animations compared to 1.
Lucas Augusto That's good too- way more powerful than the regular assault rifle, plus its grenade launcher is almost always a 1 hit kill. WASP- Wide Area Saturation Projectile is another good weapon- can kill armor in 1 hit
So many guns is plus, but for me, half of these guns were are useless for me. And weak damage, bad firerate of assault rifles and SMGs with magazine on 32 rounds sucks (I don't know how many is RPM of rifles, but in SMG it was 6.25 shots per second). Silenced SMG better, but damage still sucks.
RF1 guns looked more realistic but RF2 has better bot multiplayer. RF2 guns look like they tried too hard to be futuristic, are fatter, cartoonish, some are watered down like the shotgun and SMG, and the optics don't look like it could be real optics if you look at the NICW or HMG and it can't be used.
compared to the first game the weapons in this are garbage, they all feel weak, bad sounds, look too bulky and curvy. Plus they didn't add any real good new ones. the first one had weapons that felt real and you could imagine holding. The wierd way accuracy is defined in this makes the weapons spray and pray instead of actual aiming. plus the railguns zoom? suck
@Nikos papadopoylos I'm talking about design, sound and feel, not neccessarily about how effective the weapons were. Plus you can edit the config file to make the assault rifle / shottie more accurate. The RNG in red faction 1 sucked too (it wasn't real recoil accuracy like CS) but at least it was minor compared to RF2
In my opinion, the Sniper Rifles in both RF1 (The heavy caliber one with the muzzle break) and the bolt action in RF2 are really my personal favorites and when it comes to weapon, are some of the only weapons that have any kind of 'weight' to them. Apart from that... I guess the only other weapons that are decent in design, sound and that weighty MMPH is the RF2 Precision Rifle and the RF1 Rail Driver. (because Im biased and the RF1 Rail Driver's MMWHOOOSH is dope.)

Super underrated game. Multiplayer with friends and bots is amazing.

Best weapon set in all of the Red Faction series imho
Lmao incendiary weapon is the best part lol. It's fun to watch enemies screaming and flailing around
Black sheep my ass, this was one underrated fps through and through.
the JF90 was my bread and butter. I must have put in 100s of hours with the damn thing in multiplayer lol
I love that when they still keep old burning animation in previous game. It's hilarious when enemies running around screaming with their arms up
One of the great games of the PS2 era.
Rose tinted glasses
john m guess someone didn't like the game.
@@jagerkerrigan1289 it was ok. I was so dissapointed it had. Othing to do with the first one at all
Well I never played the first one so no comment. But this was one of the first futuristic shooter I ever played.
Fr, I never played the first one either, but I would play this one with my friends and made many memories with it
Thanks for uploading this ♥
I first played this game when I was 5 years old. We rented it for a few days and then we bought the first one.
Nostalgia. Ностальгия.
I miss playing this
Same

my love and respect for the Rail Gun came from the first time I played Red Faction 1, on the day it was released in US
Die_ Shinkan
my favorite weapon of tgis game is the N.I.C.W. Nanotech Individual Combat Weapon

My favourite gun in RF2 is the CAR-72.
Mine to along with the precision sniper rifle and nano mp
CAR72 is obviously an AK variant but the Precision Rifle could be a viable future weapon minus the glowing trim.
I still think the original is better. Red Faction is still one of the best shooters ever made.
I love this game, but I prefer the original! 😀
imagine a remaster
I hope they do remaster this. One of my favorite games of all time until they something better. 💯😈☣
I still have this and the first on ps2
Anyone else still playing this a just started last night
And the guns in the sub tank and helicopter
Rip rail gun I was god with rail gun and the sniper and grenade launcher
Still Better Than Soldier Of Fortune 1 And 2: Double Helix
But I like SOF 1 & 2, whats wrong with them?
Dude, don't talk shit, SOF 1 and 2 are great games and muuuch better than your RF2.

hello pls help dowload Red Factoin II pls:(
I remember how disapointed i was with this after the first one. It was compleately different just a cookie cutter shooter

The video is doesn’t work is broken
Kinda meh, most weapons are lame and feels alike, no destruction as well
