Not a massive Star Trek follower, but ngl this game actually looks kinda decent, even the graphics look pretty impressive for 2000, mainly the lighting on lasers and the visual effects when vaporising enemies

I loved that in EF1 as you encountered new weapons, you could take them with you in future missions. But in EF2, while you had all your Federation weapons, you could only use the alien weapons you found on that mission.
I mean they were both basically Quake-em-ups, and both games were rather short although the 2nd game was damn near a demo in length. Otoh a lot of stuff like the idle moments getting to wander around Voyager and Enterprise were a really nice way to break up typical shooter monotony, and they were faithful recreations of locations from the shows that gave you the chance to 3D tour Star Trek sets long before there were other options for that. Alt fires were a cool norm from the days before everyone normalized Aim-Down-Sight and every level was a unique place that didn't make use of too much copy-pasting keeping the games interesting. Overall, they were a pair of tight-if sort of basic-shooters with good pacing and challenge.
@@AngelloProduct I wanna say that Shotgun sounds... Unrefined or backwards whereas a weapon with the word "Assault" gives the implication of a CQC weapon like the H&K Close-Assault-Weapon-System (a prototype shotgun that used belted or brass 12-gauge shells).
0:58 The only reason why I'm watching this vid. If you ask me polaron is purple, and plasma is green. So I hope STO is closer to Elite Force 1's I-MOD to be consistent. EDIT: I acquired the Adaptation ground set and SLDF is right... the I-MOD's sound effects are kind of weak. The Bolt setting goes "kraaa" the High density beam: "cheew" and the Modulated energy blast fires an explosion on target similar to a grenade or blast assault weapon.
Unfortunately, although the beam colors are correct, the I-MOD's sounds in STO have this weak pew pew sort of sound rather than the mean punchy sound it has here in Delta Force.@@Damndrrtyapes
The Stasis Weapon is really cool because I think Raven Software deliberately modeled the primary fire after the Etherian Crossbow from Heretic as you have the main bolt and the two side bolts with weaker damage.
These are really awesome weapons.
too bad 95% of the alt fires are just an aoe dmg attack

A Star Trek FPS. Never thought I'd live to see that.
Thanks for showcasing these games :)
Great games!

@@GameIntrosFinales Thank you! I'm still trying to figure out pc gaming and appreciate the help! I'm very grateful! Keep being awesome ;)
I never used the alternate firing mode for the stasis weapon. Also the photon burst felt awesome and chunky.

and now, the Infinity Modulator is in Star Trek Online
For me having played both Elite Force games, the Compression Rifle will always be my favorite, specially the Elite Force 2 version.

Elite force 2 weapons look much more refined and has a nice sound effect
Always wondered why they called the shotgun an assault rifle in Elite Force 2.
I guess you can say that they eliminated shotguns the same as poverty

@@racer927 it’s an offense gun hence the name assault.

Well now add the epic Photon Burst to the mix
So Nostalgic! STO Getting the Photon Burst FTW! Plenty of content for STO when looking back on great gems such as Elite Force 😃
I would really like to see continuity at some point in this franchise and Star Trek Armada with current game engines such as Unreal 5...
The Photon Burst is the best weapon
Hell yes!
The Stasis Weapon is really cool because I think Raven Software deliberately modeled the primary fire after the Etherian Crossbow from Heretic as you have the main bolt and the two side bolts with weaker damage.
Can you do a video of the Klingon Honour Guard weapons? Please

@@GameIntrosFinales Nice!
Those Star Trek weapons are so out of this world and both primary and secondary fires can take out multiple enemies depending on the situation.
Elite Force 1: Weapons that actually feel like weapons
Elite Force 2: Toys that go pew pew
I need to get these games, but they're not on steam!
You can find them on GOG.
This vid makes me want to go get the GOG version and install on my pc…
When people say the Federation is for wimps and namby pambies, show them this game.
No BFG 10k? Aww
This is Star Trek? Its more like Unreal or something 😂
The first one is definitely more Quake 3 😏
