I used to use kid gohan or krillen all the time and solo beating the mania guys. This brings back memories. I remember in elementary school many years ago I would show the other kids on the bus Mania Broly and Mania Goku and they'd get wrecked lmfao. I lost my DS many years ago and this game. These clips are pure throwback, thank you.
You can use any characters. People usually use characters like Gotenks and Buu since they do the most damage and has the most HP. But I beat the 3 final bosses with Kid Gohan and Gero, the weakest characters in game, just for the challenge. Wasn't easy to do, took me days and weeks of tries, but I made it.
Your attack damage goes up by a little for Super Saiyan and other power ups. As far as I've noticed the highest damage increases come from Broly and Majin Vegetas 'Kakarot' power up, SSJ2 Gohans 'Anger', SSJ3 Gotenks's power up and finally Adult Gohans 'Potential Unleashed'
In cases like Majin Vegeta, Broly and Adult Gohan. Their respective power up eat up all 200 of their energy. But the damage increase is monstrous. Broly and Majin Vegeta specifically becomes strong enough to 2 shot chacaters in the Super Saiyan stage and below easily, with basic attacks.
How do you unlock this mode? It's locked and named "???" in my game.. Anyways this game was my childhood and today I finished it for the first time! One day I wanna make a rom hack or a fanmade third game with new characters
I had to mostly keep my distance with Broly because he loves to spam his balls and keep you stun locked. I felt the SSJ transformation damage increase wasn't worth it when factoring in the energy drain and not being able to replenish energy quickly.

I Kind of with it was remastered and built for multiplayer instead of NPC

I remember seeing a few guides online, you could use an AR Code and us this Goku, but only in a PVP Multiplayer mode afaik.
