You have your routine for managing homeschool with multiple kids down to a science! What a lovely routine and what amazing memories your family is making together!
I know this is a year old but this schedule is so helpful. My husband is also off on Wednesdays and we also homeschool mon, tues, thurs and fridays. This will be our 3rd year homeschooling and my son asked to do gather round as our curriculum for this upcoming year so we are excited to do that
This sounds very similar to our schedule! I have found that doing the group unit first, followed by the independent subjects works well here too, vs the other way around. Thanks for sharing!
I have a bigger age gap with my children and work part time but want to homeschool my little one who is not yet school age. We have been getting involved in some homeschool activities already but sometimes I do worry about her having enough time with other children so I know making these connections with other homeschoolers is important.
hi there just found your page. I am in the process of setting up my own plan for next year when my daughter is6. We have been homeschooling since she was 4 (5now). I had a look on the Australian education learning thingfor homeschooling, it says we need to meet 25 hours of homeschooling. Just wondering if your weekly plan meets that requirement? When you register year, is your plan more rigid than this one your showing us? Im just curios as I know sometimes we end up finishing a lesson muuuuch quicker than if a teacher was teaching in a full classroom. I am a tiny bit worried as my daughter has ADHD similarity and sitting, and focusing for such long days is incredibly difficult for her. At the moment we do 2 hours a day, which we had to slowly work up too. I am also tiny bit worried of being told my weekly plan meeting each 25 hours wont meet requirements. I am asking purely out of me being a noobi here and learning as much as possible so i can provide what my daughter needs, plus what the education board needs. I hope you see this comment 3 years after this video was posted 😅
Hello, here is a link to some recommendations for how many hours a day to homeschool. myhomeschool.com/homeschooling/resources/how-many-hours-of-homeschooling-a-day/ I am in Western Australia and I only had to submit this plan on my very first moderator visit. When they come yearly to see me they are only writing up a report for the school year and are not looking at my plan for the next year. I do not have to record how many hours we are doing school for. This plan that I have shown you reflects 2 to 3 hours a day 4 days a week of school work. The moderator is more interested in what curriculum/resources you will be using more than how much time you will doing work. I hope this helps and good luck!
@@Mariekalake thank you for getting back to me. I am in Darwin. I will have to wait and see year after year what they require. I am in the process of gathering next years resources. We I’m excited x

We definitely need to be flexible don’t we, especially with wide age ranges. Great video. I’m curious what you’re using for History in your co-op?
We are using Story of the world for our history with our co op
