Solid video! I always recommend people to focus on beating a lot of levels, and slowly working up, rather than jumping because you will end up spending just as much time on the level you wanted to jump to, but you beat lots more levels in the process, and at the same time evens out your skillset way more. Quantity of completions will make you overall significantly better, and lets you learn, and beat levels faster as a result. Good stuff :)
Definitely, I was going to jump from Acu to Sonic Wave but then I realized how many skillets I would be missing out on and all the levels I wouldn't be able to enjoy as a new hardest. Thank you! You are a huge inspiration to me!
Super well structured video with practical tips. I always worried that dropping levels early on was a bad habit of just chasing what feels new, but it's good to hear that it's okay to switch to something else more enjoyable. Thanks for this video man :)
This video shows really obvious tips... that 99% of people don't know and it's actually motivated me to play the game again and go for a new hardest :) Really good and concise video! Can't wait to see what you do next
as someone who mostly plays list demons, i really like your points about playing something you enjoy and also dropping levels. There is such a stigma surrounding the idea of dropping levels and it honestly doesn't make you any worse if you drop said level. You will not lose the prior experience you had playing that level so you will always get a small skillboost from playing something even if you do not beat it. Also so many players today give levels bad enjoyment ratings when it really isnt necessary. Unless your main goal is to clear the entire list or beat something "iconic" there is no reason to play a level you simply dont enjoy. Do not rely on the opinions of others, if you enjoy the level, give it a try!
Really well said, I think this is the most important thing I've learned playing up until this point. I've also tried out levels that aren't very popular and ended up having the most fun with those.
i'm being honest this is far more in depth and detailed than some of the more viewed how to get good videos out there, and it's not dragged out for like 20+ min when you explained everything in under 7 min. you deserve wayyyy more attention. :)
even though i'm definitely NOT following any of these doing a huge difficulty jump, i really liked this video and once i beat kowareta i'll rewatch this and start grinding extremes. thank you for this!

I feel like you have the potential to became a big youtuber, the thumbnail to the editing and the script to the voice is really well put-together, keep up the great work btw :)
God the enjoyment factor is what does it more than anything. Nine Circles took me over 2 years to beat, and then I beat Poltergeist in like a week and a half and I'm nearly done with Deadly Clubstep. I never want to play NC again, but I can definitely see myself coming back to the other two.

Thanks i guess Am goin for bloodbath from nine circles and this will probably help But not now cuz i knew like, everything from this video exept the droping levels stuff :) Good video, we need more
I just recently passed 30 demons, and I'm going for my first memory demon, these tips make a lot of sense but it's east to forget simple things like don't set time constraints in stone since it's such a natural habit. Hope to see more from you in the future!
These are wonderful tips! I'm not anywhere near beating an extreme demon, and I don't know that I ever will reach that point, but I do find my skill increasing as I play the game and a lot of these tips still apply to levels that I have played through. Sometimes, my determination to beat a level becomes more of my reason for playing than having fun. It makes me wonder I'm even playing if I'm not having fun. Practicing through levels that you actually enjoy is the better way to build skill, because then if you're still determined to beat a level that you don't enjoy, you can play it when your skill level is so much higher that it isn't as difficult.
this is a very well done video and does a really good job at giving less skilled players an idea of how they can improve at the game faster. great work
This video is amazing, i haven't beat something "hard" (i only have beaten 6 easy demons lmao) but i want to do an extreme demon and i don't want to beat other levels to improve my skills, i want to play the level right now, i want to do worse trip or blade of justice as my first extreme demon, but i haven't decided what to do first but this video helped me a lot. Keep it up man :)

Thanks for the video man ! I'm currently attempting my 4th insane demon (and maybe new hardest idk if Plasma Pulse is harder than Supersonic) and I really needed this !
I've been playing cataclysm for a few weeks now as my first extreme, and I just can't get past the ufo, so I considered dropping it, but decided not to due to the time I've spent on it, but now I might, but we'll see.
If that's the only part you struggle with, you might just need some more practice with it. Most extremes are pretty unbalanced so some parts will take more practice than others. Good Luck either way!
I struggled with Acu for a long time (on 60hz mind you) and it ended up taking me 15000+ attempts and almost a year, but now that I'm on 240fps, I feel like I'm beating levels quicker than I should. I guess that's the mentality I built up, levels always take a long time and fluking almost never happens. (This was probably due to practicing the level sporadically and not having a good strategy or plan when starting). Just wanted to share my experience, but I love the video and hopefully I can beat Semicolon 3 very soon with these new tips!
Please don't do that. If u do it will make u really good at wave but you'll struggle with every other game mode in levels harder than Acu. As long as you don't get demotivated after beating it, I cant stop you but jumping just isn't a great idea
@@amplitron Thats a good point. Ill look for another extreme demon, but if i find myself struggling with wave, ill try to make decent progress on The Hallucination
not a bad video, its just for a new player like me who doesnt know how to apply these tips (yet so easily understandable) it makes it hard to not put time constraints and or expectations
Really really helpful and good video. The only thing I can criticise is telling people how to practice levels. I mean everyone who is starting an insane/extreme demon or something really hard in general probably knows the best way that they can practice levels because their experience. Good tips anyway for the people without much experience in to the game they can be really helpful. Other than that I pretty much agree with everything. The progression should be consistent not to big nor to small jumps that way it is much faster a lot less a lot more fun than jumping to top 10 from nine circles which quoter of the community wants to do right now.
I 100% agree with you. My main points are: 1.: It's all about enjoyibg the game. If you don't enjoy a level there's no shame in dropping it and you wouldn't believe how much easier enjoyment actually makes a level. 2.: Your mindset is the most important thing in this game. Don't get demotivated because something takes longer than you thought. Basically keep a healthy mindset that allows you to progress in the game, without feeling stressed, or unsatisfied with yourself. I always go by or at least try to go by these points and it has really helped me progressing in terms of skill. But as I said video games are all about enjoyment so there's no point in torturing yourself with hard levels. Cuz one thing I've also noticed is that some people just don't like them. And that's fine. If you don't like grinding hard levels then you shouldn't force yourself to do them. Idk if anyone even read all of my ramblings I just kind of wrote my thoughts down. Eccellent video btw loved it!
Ya know, one thing you mentioned that I think I forgot about was trying to find levels to improve a certain skill set. I think I got into a mentality of “if you beat x easy extremes you an beat medium extremes” etc, but that just isn’t the case. If I keep struggling with wave on harder levels, it’s probably because I have a stronger timing skill set than wave and should focus on it
4:05 i did that with shardscapes where i was doing a jump of bloodbath to xo but i wasnt finding it fun so i jumped to shardscapes instead and now i have a list level completed
Great vid but ill add more info because I can: Dont play if you dont feel like it maybe playing 30-60 mins a day or less may be better than playing 3 hours straight, also get good sleep. Dont focus in how much attemps other people did on the same level because you will pass a level with the attempts you need. Also if you are still on a difficulty below extreme demons, I recommend beating 5-6 levels of each difficulty with different skill sets to practice. Lastly, I recommend also checking the AREDL where u can see its top and the level itself its like a demonlist for all the levels. For example, I check many levels there and rn im looking for levels 50-100 tops above the last one I have beaten. For instance, I jumped from hypersonic #800 to draco meteor #710and now doing cat planet #590. That is how in 4 months I went from completing my first hard demon to completing 2 extreme demons. Hope this also helps UwU
@@amplitron You should, a good place to start would be the CCPL (Cabbage Community Progression List) and the GDSR (Geometry Dash Skill Rating). Once you get into them, they're honestly pretty fun and satisfying.

I tried to beat Hypersonic for almost 5 years, and well I still don't progress (45%) I don't drop the lvl because I tried other extremes and after 2 months I quit because I can't progress consistently, is that my problem? insane demons are difficult but I can beat them in 1 and a half weeks, but the extremes... no matter how hard I try, I can't get consistency. I think I'll continue playing insane. Sorry for my english
@@amplitron im not burnt out its just that i tried to rebeat acu and i felt worse anyway THANK YOU FOR THE AMAZING SPREADSHEET, EVEN THOUGH YOU DIDNT MAKE IT! im about 2 hours and 1400 attempts into cyclone, with 71 from zero hopefully ill beat it quickly, cuz its a pretty annoying lvl
Cool video! One thing i just slightly disagree with is, how you say dropping levels is completely worth it. I think sticking with the level can really test, and strengthen your persevearence. However, all of my skill basically comes from jumps which is easier because im bad at dropping levels... So take this with a grain of salt
You're right, I just think at times when you really don't enjoy a level, dropping it isn't a bad idea. I don't want ppl to get stuck on a level I recommend and have a horrible time on it and be scared to drop it, if that makes sense. Perseverance is definitely a good mindset to have

If you dont randomly get hand pain you will be able to do this guys
Great video!
I really felt good about aa but once i started playing it i hated it so much. But recently i dropped aa and im trying atomic cannon instead a level i really enjoy :)
Nice vid !!
Great video, thanks
i did acu to zodiac like a month ago as my fourth demon
Gg space uk
now that the AREDL exists, we can find levels more easily!
I completed my first extreme demon in 75k att
HOW DO U ONLY HAVE 680 SUBS THIS IS CRAZY
I tried to beat Hypersonic for almost 5 years, and well I still don't progress (45%) I don't drop the lvl because I tried other extremes and after 2 months I quit because I can't progress consistently, is that my problem? insane demons are difficult but I can beat them in 1 and a half weeks, but the extremes... no matter how hard I try, I can't get consistency. I think I'll continue playing insane.
Sorry for my english
Just keep doing insane demons until you feel comfortable with a specific skill set and choose an extreme that fits in that skill set
its been 2 months since i beat acu and my hardest is blade of justice
yet i feel i have gotten worse at the game
Sometimes I feel that way too, just remember that some days are worse than others and it's good to take breaks if you are burnt out. GGs on boj!
@@amplitron im not burnt out its just that i tried to rebeat acu and i felt worse
anyway THANK YOU FOR THE AMAZING SPREADSHEET, EVEN THOUGH YOU DIDNT MAKE IT!
im about 2 hours and 1400 attempts into cyclone, with 71 from zero
hopefully ill beat it quickly, cuz its a pretty annoying lvl
Ok time to beat acropolis in 2 months👍 (My hardest demon is death moon)
Good luck!
4:03 bro soo true (i just dropped wasu because it just wasn't fun anymore)
my hardest is acu but i'm practicing and making good progress on nhelv because i'm super committed to the level
Very good video, +1 sub
Perseverance is definitely a good mindset to have
It took me 3 years to go from my first extreme to a list level bruh
Meanwhile me beating Acu and then my second extreme demon 2 years later
really good video.
im sure this will be helpful!
My two hardest levels are TOE III and Nine Circles (two Hard Demons). Can anyone recommend an Insane Demon?
Magma Bound or Windy Landscape
Personally acropolis was my first but i’d say probably go with windy landscape or magma bound
Anamnesis, not rated yet but definitely at least legendary, and is expected to be an insane demon
My hardest is Bloodbath and I was thinking of jumping to Sonic Wave but I think that I’ll beat some extremes that are easier than BB first (like Cyclone, Aftermath and Electrolux (yes I like that lvl))
and then go for Phobos as a new hardest instead.
i went for sonic wave from bloodbath, got like 80% in 25k attempts then dropped it because i dont like it
in 9 months my hardest has gone from acu to acu, I suck
W vid, even tho I have the skill to beat list demons, Ive learned a lot :)
GD Drmon Ladder has 5 tiers for each Demon difficulty (except for extreme, which has like 15)
I jumped from windy landscape to acu and it took me 18,000 attempts
