Africa needs to bisect further west in the Sahara. An interesting point Thomas Sowell makes is that current Africa lacks sufficient ports/navigable waterways. It's what has held Africa back economically. This may sufficiently change that.

In Permaculture "edges," such as coastlines are always the richest, and resource-full because of so much diversity. A new coastline is just that. Other example is the area between forests and meadows, or savannas...

Surely one important fact has been missed? Apparently reliable sources state that this will take at least a million years before an ocean is formed. Maybe 5 - 10 million years.
It's hard to estimate, but with large cracks forming across the continet quite rapidly, it's hard to tell. I'm shocked widespread news outlets haven't covered this, stay tuned ill be updating and doing new different topics too

2.5 but I get what you mean. Thing is, the wider it gets, the easier it is for it to shift and the second water gets in there it will widen faster. There’s no more powerful source than that of running water
